The distant memory of freedom called longingly to the mind of those imprisoned. The night had set with a whisper saying goodbye to the daylight that Skylark stared upon. It's edges a blink of hope until it was gone..
Like her life.
Darkness coated the landscape vibrantly, dulling the mix of colors the sun had exposed only moments ago. A misty fog rolling in from seemingly no where as the wind picked up slightly where she perched atop the tip of a tall building. A bell beneath her threatening to ring should she move wrong. It was her only freedom for the moment. Knowing someday she'd have to return to him. To the man who'd imprisoned her in this life, and stole away the very existence of her name. A glimmer of pain rushed through her eyes as she remembered them, and those who came after. A longing sigh escaped.
Sky turned ethereal violets upon her destination. Rumor had coaxed her into curiously searching out the prisoner who had invaded Noxus by himself. What were his reasons? Had he the same anger she possessed? Had he wanted to destroy the corruption within this place? Had he sought revenge for the deaths in Ionia? She heard he was Ionian, though his name escaped her.
She turned slightly and begun her descent down the side of the tower, lowering herself with natural agility towards the ground that would take her closer to the dungeon. Firstly she'd have to sneak in, but guards cautiously watched the exterior for signs of invasions. A few poles and strategic beams would grant her access beyond them, carefully maneuvering them to get atop and quietly move across it to the other side. When she was certain no one heard her, she'd drop down and scurry away like a rat spooked by a light coming on. How far was she? It couldn't be too far.
Groups of guards would march their way across the corridors and pathways, forcing her to duck out of sight as they moved passed. Her training with Talon was showing through with her natural abilities already making it somewhat less challenging. But she was far from cocky with this, knowing that if she got caught she would face extreme punishment. Perhaps even death. She didn't believe for a second that Talon would bother coming to help her. This was all her thing.
As she stopped however, she would take a moment to make a mental map of the place. Every path she watched the guards take, and every nook and cranny she could squeeze her small, 5'3 frame into would be noted in case she accomplished the visit, and wanted to return for some reason. Sky skirted her way around a corner, and descended the darkness that would take her deeper into the dungeon where Varus was held. It was not particularly luck that would side with her as she rounded the corner and spotted two guards talking amongst themselves. Beyond them a door that would lead her into the prison cells where the archer was held.
She had to think quickly, pausing to prepare herself before the petite Ionian woman would make herself known by braving the light and approaching the two guards. Both stopped and stared at her.
"What- Where the hell did you come from?" One asked with a grunt. The other grinned as he reached his hand out towards Skylar to place it on his shoulder. However she would have none of it as she gently brushed his hand off.
"I'm here to see the prisoner." Sky explained.
"Eh? Who sent ya?" The taller guard asked as he circled to her left. The smaller just smirked as his hand was batted away.
"He doesn't need t'be seen. No visitors allowed. But you're welcome t'stay with us for a bit."
"Hm?" Sky questioned as those violet eyes darted between them, "Aw, don't be like that. I came to have a little chat, guys. Tell you what. If you let me in, I can make sure he'll talk whenever whats-his-name comes in to interrogate him." Pausing, "I'm betting he hasn't yet." Sky shot in the darkness trying to pull something from the two guards. "Guarenteed promotion if you let me in. His tongue will be mighty loose for questioning."
"Eh?" The taller guard grinned, "Well, be nice t'get a promotion finally."
"Under appreciated?" Sky asked with a light smirk, "I know the feeling. Let me help you guys out. Promise it'll be worth it."
"You sure 'bout this?" The shorter guard questioned his colleague. "If we get-"
"Shut up." The taller guard grunted at the smaller one. "Let 'er in. Tired of this damn shit hole. Always in the pit, smelling these disgusting prisoners. Listening to them whine constantly."
"Yeah. I can't imagine how awful that must be." Sky commented, tugging the cloak around herself a bit more, "Always having to hear them complaining about this and that and 'Oh the guy next to me won't stop drooling!"
The two looked oddly at Sky with eyebrows raised. Sky nervously chuckled, "Uh. Just something I heard another guard talking about. Big, ugly, smells like pigs?"
"Ah, yeah that guy always complains!" The taller guard responded with a firm nod. "Y'get 30 minutes. Then we gotta run ya off. Dinner time 'n all."
"Right-o." Sky said with a grin. The two guards turned to the door, the tall one unlocking it to let her in with a glance back to her. "Remember, 30 minutes tops."
Sky walked through the iron door towards the cells, her hands gripping the origami hidden under the cloak with a breath of relief. She had managed to make it in without anything too crazy going on. She'd glance over any others who were imprisoned, before spotting Varus. Her eyes wandering his form with a frown growing, studying his condition as she'd pinch her fingers around two koi origami and replaced the others.
At first, the cloaked woman said nothing as she stood in front of his cell and watched.
