Luxanna nodded at his story, moving to help him with piece of wall. "I'm hardly that important, but thank you." She said with a smile, giving the man a nod in return. Luxanna helped him move the wall to the cart and place it in, stopping to wipe a little sweat from her forehead before continuing to work. Most people of nobility wouldn't be caught dead helping clean up... but Lux was different, she enjoyed helping everyone, and she did so without expecting a reward, or even a thank you.
She gave the Demacian people a bright light in the shroud of darkness. An ideal to strive towards.
"Thanks." He said as they put down wall piece on the cart, "You are more important than you believe, Miss. Crownguard." he took a few breaths before continuing, "When people see you working, it gives them hope, and it makes them feel like the royal families actually care about the people. That is why I want to be your guard, so that you can keep doing what you are doing without having to worry about anyone trying something funny. He walked over to a pile of rubble and started to lift pieces of it to the cart.

"ONE, TWOOOO, THREE, LIFT!" The men around the carts, mostly the same pathfinders that pulled the carts, were lifting a rather large chunk of the wall into the big cart. When they noticed that Luxanna Crownguard, and someone following her, were actively helping fill the carts with rubble, more than just a spark of hope struck their hearts. It was nice to see the champions actually helping out with reconstruction. Luxanna would get the pleasure of seeing them work hard with a large smile on their faces, as they discussed what to move next... And a little bit of their temporary co-worker humbling herself.

Luxanna smiled at Vincent and walked over to another, smaller pile, beginning to help with that as well. Lux smiled warmly at his words, she would like to believe she gave the people of Demacia something... despite what the higher ups put her through. "Thank you." She said, letting the pile drop into another cart before walking over and embracing Vincent... his words meant more to her than he could ever imagine. "It means a lot." She said before letting him go. It was then that she turned towards the other workers and began helping them as well.

Vincent was surprised when Lux hugged him, he smiled, then returned to work. He lifted up a few pieces of rubble and put it in the cart that looked the most full. He walked up to those who handled the cart, "This cart is pretty much full, take it away then come back."
He went up to another pile of rubble, there was a few other people working on it as well, he thought he'd help them with it. He started to lift a bigger piece of rubble, when he moved it aside it revealed a leg. "Everyone step back, now." said Vincent, taking a step back himself. He then started to remove as much rubble as he could.

The pathfinders were too busy to notice Lux hugging her guard, trying to get another large piece in the bigger of the carts. When Vincent notes that a smaller cart is getting full, Lucas, without a cloak for once, looked over. "He's right guys, Silverwind, I think it's your group's turn to move the cart." Two of the pathfinders stood up and strated pulling the cart away from the rubble. The other kept on digging up more rubble, when the arm was seen, and Vincent's lightning reaction made them step back while saying: "Oh god, another corpse under here?!"

Vincent looks around for someone to help him, he points at a man without a cloak. "You there, without the cloak, help me here. He turned his attention to some others as well and told them to help him out as well. He started to push on a bigger piece of rubble.
Luxanna wondered over to where the Pathfinders were and began to help them, smiling cheerfully until the body was discovered... the bright expression Lux held soon turned grim as she started at body. A woman, looked to be in her 20s, Luxanna closed her eyes in silence... sparing a moment for the woman. From the smell, she had been dead for a while... "Come on... someone help me bury her.." Luxanna said solemnly, beginning to move the woman off to the side

Lux' call for help was promptly answered by no other than Lucas, who sounded like he was in a hurry to get it over with. "On it! Take her feet!" He said, while rushing to pick her up by her shoulders. Ofcourse, the work was gruesome, but then again, all of them had signed up for it. If Lux would agree with her side, he'd simply speak out. "You decide the tempo, milady. And don't be afraid of going fast."

Lux helped quickly carry the body away, picking up a shovel and quickly digging a hole before laying the body in the ground and filling it back up again. Luxanna didn't know her, but she didn't have to... she mourned for Demacia's loss. Lux let the shovel fall off to the side before going back to work on the pile.

Vincent walked up to Lux as she returned, she had a sad look on her face. "Are you okay, Miss. Crownguard?" said Vincent with a slight worried face, she had been so happy to help just moments ago.
"We... we found a body..." Lux said, continuing to help, not bothering to look up at him. Death was something that Lux should be use to... but she wasn't. She hated it, she hated the military... Luxanna sighed and composed herself before looking at Vincent and smiling slightly, burying the hurt deep within her like she always did. "I'm fine... we should just get back to work, right?"

Vincent took her shoulder with his left hand and put his right under her chin. "Hey, you look like you need some rest. We can go back to the mansion if you want." He looked her in the eyes. "No one here will think any less of you. I assure you that."
"I...." Lux began before she simply nodded. "I.. I'm sorry..." Luxanna shook her head and gently pulled away from Vincent. "But.. what about the workers..?"

"The Pathfinders will take care of this, come now. You've shown your support, as I said, no one will think any less of you. He put out his hand for her to take, "Come, let's go home a while, we can return later if you wish."
Luxanna frowned slightly, but she took Vincents hand. "Okay..." Lux said, sighing softly. Luxanna didn't like leaving.. but she knew Vincent was right.
