Hecarim holds back any further comments once Thresh and Mordekaiser make their own statements, shaking his head in disappointment once Mordekaiser had tried to exterminate Belle, this was no way to show their king they did not trust his judgement with such acts. This would require council, and such a council would occur once the king ordered the others out of the throne room. Hecarim rose from his bow and spoke to those in the throne room
"If we are voting on her fate i think it fair to at least offer the gift of undeath to her. Should she accept then she walks as one of us, if not then we treat her as a prisoner and use her as a bargaining chip on the Demacians, either way we this should be resolved rather quickly before Mordekaiser does something foolish again."
Thresh stroked his chin thoughtfully as Hecarim posed his proposition to the Ruined King, giving an almost indistinct chuckle at seeing the puny mortal woman squirm at the topic of discussion. There were plentiful ways that the situation could be approached, he felt. The girl could simply be slain on the spot, as Mordekaiser had attempted. This would likely go over poorly with the Ruined King, and Thresh had no interest in passing beyond the veil at present, not while there was work to be done in Runeterra.
Giving her back to the Demacians as a ransom of sorts was not an option either. The Ruined King demanded that his old realm be restored in totality, and Demacia fell under that category. Further, it would fully deny Thresh his vengeance upon the wretched pipsqueaks. No, that wretched princeling deserved to writhe like a worm on a hook, wallowing in endless misery. It was only fitting, after all. That left:
"Aye, Hecarim speaks quite true," Thresh noted with a sagely nod of his head. "'twould be best for us to turn her, I believe. She shall be under our dominion, a useful symbol of the power we hold over the living. Demacia shall be in their properly subservient, deferring position in relation to us, able to be exploited as we see fit. With the fools effectively under our heel, our attentions may be properly turned to other pressing matters in your kingdom's reunion." A moment's consideration preceded Thresh's concluding statements. "And, lord, a turned 'guest'...together for eternity, freed from the ravages of time, of death. Consider it..."

The Ruined King lets out a low growl of annoyance when Hecarim mentions Mordekaiser's name, "I invite the fool to try once more. I will not be so lenient with him next time." His eyes turned to Thresh as he spoke, the King had chosen to listen to what they both said. He shook his head however at the mention of turning her to undeath. The king spoke, an odd sadness filling his voice, "For too long I've been racked with thirst and unable to sate it. Too long I've been starving to eat only have the food turn to ash in my mouth. I have felt nothing... not the wind on my face nor the spray of the sea, nor the warmth of the sun. Not the touch of living flesh... I cannot wish that undeath upon her."
I am the one who defied death. I am the one he fears. I am the on he can not take. One sweep of my hand and your nations will fall. Come for me you worms. You will all bow before my legions or be broken beneath us as we march upon your cities.

Belle remained upon her knees with her head bowed. She trembled ever so softly under the gazes of the dead as they loomed so near. It felt all too imposing to be in the presence of such strength, overwhelming her as she settled where she sit.
With a quick, shaky breath she focused on calming herself. It was all she could do as they discussed her fate, fearful that she may in fact be forced to endure the unlife the King, Hecarim and Thresh have all embraced. It was a terrifying idea. To think she would die in such a desolate, oppressive place and be forever trapped away from her husband. The thought was unbearable.
However as the King spoke, her ears tuned into his words with all the more focus. He would not change her. He did not wish to subject her to the torments of the existence he appeared to loathe to a degree. Her head rose slowly, but stopped before her gaze might catch the faces of those gathered. Instead, she allowed the hood to conceal her own visage, her eyes settling upon the feet of Hecarim, Thresh and Legion. Too afraid to make eye contact.
Yorick came limping in through the doors to the castle, he had heard a huge crash from a distance earlier, he didn't pay it much attention. As he entered the throne room he saw the Ruined King, Thresh, Hecarim and someone he didn't recognize.
"My lord, I'm sorry for my late arrival." He entered the room a bit further, trying to get a look at the person he didn't recognize. "And who may that be, a new minion?" He pointed with his free hand on Marabelle

This was a development from the king seeing how he would not give Belle undeath, Hecarim was starting to feel doubtful that this council would not end very well for them and that more... drastic measures would have to be taken for this to not to escalate any further. Mordekaiser was already on the verge of rage with her presence and whispers from his personal servants opinions about her presence was not making this any better, the centaur spoke once more to his allies in a pressing tone.
"Then shall she be a prisoner? And if not that then we do not have many options left. Her current arrangements here cannot go on if we are expected to reclaim our land but keep one of our enemies as a friendly house guest, and yes my liege she IS the enemy she is a living Demacian on our land and their queen and something must be done with her here and now or in the very near future. But if WE cannot come to a agreement on what her fate shall be, then let us see what she wishes."
"I must disagree, Hecarim," Thresh chided with a slight shake of his head, quirking his brow at the quivering woman seated by the Ruined King. "We can all say with utmost certainty what she would wish upon herself, given the choice. To return to Demacia with nary a scuff upon her figure, and our honor scarred beyond reason. Hah! We are the chosen of the Shadow Isles, led by you in our stark defiance of death itself, to persist in this wretched world 'til our debts have been collected and our spirits sated. And now you, the one who has spat in the face of Death with your very existence, would seem to bend over backwards at the whims of your prisoner..."
"For all your yearning for her," Thresh noted as he paced slowly, turning his gaze to the Ruined King, "you would just as quickly throw away this opportunity that we have been presented with. If we are to inevitably return the girl to Demacia, perhaps we should consider other avenues as well. Diverting our forces to help the living reconstruct, perhaps? It would hardly surprise me at this rate."
"This girl, Majesty, is a problem, a conflict of interests that must be resolved. What you have beheld from Mordekaiser just now is only the beginning of what will come to be, yes. The Ruined King, fraternizing and guarding the life of the living? Tch! Your priorities have become clouded by her very presence. Where is the King who refused to yield as his life slipped away, unable to buckle 'til the wrongs levied against him were righted? Where is the King who declared those centuries ago that he would never rest, never cease until his right had been restored? Once, I saw that King seated upon that very throne, moving without compromise against those who had dared to defy his will. Now, however, I am not so sure. If you would throw away all that we have fought for over the centuries, all that you vowed, all those who look up to their benevolent ruler with such adoration, all over some doppelganger of one that you know is long gone..."
With a snarl of disgust and a rattle chains, Thresh spun on his heel and steadily marched back down the castle's halls, his spirit flames blazing as they rarely had before.
"...then the King I once swore undying loyalty to has truly died."

The Ruined King watches as Thresh turns on his heel to walk away, his expression completely impassive. His eyes move to look at Belle who was still under the effects of his spell that restricted her movement. A slight frown slowly growing upon his face. It would seem Thresh's words sink in as he looks away from Belle and watches for Thresh's reaction, "Legion. Take the prisoner to the dungeons. Deal with her there."
The loyalty of his subjects had to come first. They stood with him against death itself, if they showed such dedication to him, he had to respond in kind. Who was he to turn his back on those who had been loyal to him in such a way?
I am the one who defied death. I am the one he fears. I am the on he can not take. One sweep of my hand and your nations will fall. Come for me you worms. You will all bow before my legions or be broken beneath us as we march upon your cities.
The Voice of Legion nodded at it's kings command, unfazed by the words and actions of the others. It gave it's awkward bow against and straightened.
"As you command oh lord."
At the the host shuffled over to Belle and extended it's hand towards her. With a effort of power Legion released Belle from the immobilizing spell. It then beckoned for her to follow it.
"Come girl, it would be wise to follow along without argument."
It would then start to lead the woman to the dungeons through one of the side doors leading out of the throne room, to avoid any confrontation with Thresh or Mordekaiser.
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
"Have you gone soft my king? To see the lord of the undead, protecting one of the living..." Yorick limped closer to the throne, he lifted his hand and pointed at it. "Whenever there was living here on the isles before this, they would be in our ranks within minutes, but now, you are defending this girl?" He held his shovel as a cane. "I never thought I would see you spare the living. What happened to the king I swore loyalty to?"
He lowered his hand. "Do what you would have done a century ago, kill her and bind her to the isles."

Belle felt a new fear rise up when the King ordered Legion to take her to the dungeons. A look of confusion embraced her features, followed by one of terror as Legion approached her and extended his hand. With effort, she was freed from the spell that bound her and allowed her to begin following after it.
Not a word was said as she bowed her head, thinking over the actions and what might come of them. The fear of dying had grown ever more prominent as she followed silently behind Legion, tugging the cloak around her frame slightly more. A small glance to the King with teal orbs lingering for only a second before she would fall back in quiet steps behind Legion.

Hecarim hid a look of slight sadness as Thresh had left their presence and exited the castle after finishing his speech, clearly the decision to even bring this mortal onto their land had done more harm than good by causing Mordekaiser to leave in a even more intense rage than usual and even Thresh, one of the first of the undead to serve the king had shown his disgust toward such a decision. And then there was Hecarim, who desperately wanted to believe that his king was making the right decision, that bringing Belle onto the isles was a choice that would ultimately bring them closer to their goal of regaining their land.
The longer things went on like this however, he would find it more and more difficult to trust his king's judgement of how their people should be led and the way things were done on the isle, he had to face the possibilities that if the king they all once proudly followed had become lost... they would have to take action against him no matter how unlikely it was they would triumph, but these were thoughts the centaur had to focus on later. For now he would simply relay the previous information he meant to discuss with the King and then worry about such things unless he were given another task.
"I believe this is a good a time as any to tell you what i collected in the invasion my liege Should you still be willing to listen." Hecarim rose to his full height and made eye contact with his king as he finished speaking, the spirit fire in his burning brightly.

The Ruined King lowered his head and rested an left elbow upon the arm of his throne as his hand cupped his forehead. He let out a frustrated growl and eyed Hecarim, his eyes seeming to glare at the centaur, "It had better be good."
Already it seemed that the stress was getting to the king, conflict over Belle causing his confusion to slowly turn to rage.

"Very well. Once our forces had brought down a wall in Demacia and our army swarmed the inner city, i was given a report that one of their soldiers had recently been traumatized by someone in our ranks. Who exactly is beyond me, but i reached out to her and she has agreed to be our eyes and ears inside of the city should we bring her precious brother back to her, which we both know is impossible."
Hecarim then forms a slight grin towards the Ruined King. "But it get's better, the spy is none other than Quinn. Their so called "hero" and newest champion for their city."
