April 29th, 23CLE. PDP's HQ (Police Department of Piltover) 9 PM
Caitlyn sat, reading the reports again. Today, the suspects were taken out of the prison and were brought for questioning about Vi's escape. It was already night but she still kept investigating, wanting to send the innocent home. She knew none of them had any hand in Vi's flight, but procedures were to be filled.
The room was nice enough. Caitlyn sat in one edge of a coffee table on a small leather couch. In front of her, the coffee table and another couch like her's. A fire was burning in the fireplace nearby, as to shield from the night's cold and darkness. The hextech lighting made the room look homely and warm. A screen was on above the fireplace, showing late night's global news.
Caitlyn waited for Garth to call to the next suspect and to sit next to her, as he was her student and had to learn. Caitlyn took her list and read for herself. "Elody Swann..." That was the next one on the list.

Garth escorted the last suspect out out of Piltover's Police Department before returning to the door, which led to the room Caitlyn was sitting in. There was a clipboard attached to the wall with the list of suspects to be questioned about their involvement, which thus far had been uneventful.
Garth examined the clipboard for a moment before calling out the next suspect, "Miss Elody Swann? The Sheriff would like to speak with you about the incident."
As he waited he would search the room, his augmented eye meeting the stares of all the remaining suspects. He would open the door for Swann once she got close enough, and then take a seat next to Caitlyn. Then the student would take out a notepad, not only to record Swann's story, but to take notes of Caitlyn's techniques as well.

Elody got up meekly. Making her way to the door, she kept her head down. They'd taken away Tuyel at the door, letting her feel defenseless. She knew she wouldn't get in trouble for anything to do with the Vi case; she had barely been within two blocks of the incident. But if they poked into her history and her relationship to other cases, there may be issues of the 'vigilante' type.
Taking a seat across from Caitlyn, she didn't make eye contact, her hair brushing past her face. Eager to break the silence, she laughed slightly. "Well, uh, nice room you've got here." While her voice conveyed a firm and confident figure, it was easy to see that she was nervous and twitchy simply from her body language. "What've you got to ask me?"

((Garth plz... PDP, Police Department of Piltover. I've decided that PPD [PeePeeDee] doesn't cut it :3))
Caitlyn eyed Swann curiously. She ran over her file, studying her past, as much as she known about it, and reading more information. "First and foremost, Miss Swann.
Do you have a license for your sword?" Caitlyn cared first for the things that she knew them obviously. She knew the girl did not possess of a weapon's license and that was needed to be dealt with. Should she lie to her, Caitlyn will know she can't be trusted.

Elody grimaced. She knew that if she got caught, she was screwed. "Well no, ma'am. But it was a gift! Shame not to use it, even if its just for show." She didn't make eye contact, hoping Cait would drop the subject.

Caitlyn noticed the girl's discomfort and continued on to use it against her. She wanted her city safe and her people too. "I need to know a few things about you, miss Swann, before I continue on.
What's your name? What is your age? Who were your parents? What's your name? Who gave you this sword? What have you been doing during my old partner's flight? What's your name? When did you learn to use that sword? How many people have you killed with it? What is your name!?" Caitlyn said, her voice getting fiercer with every question.

Elody was assaulted with a barrage of questions. When Caitlyn finished, she backed up slightly, moving her hands in a motion that said 'too much.' "Hey, hey, take it easy. You think that just because I'm a sword that I'm a murderer?"
She took a deep breath. Bad idea to tick off the chief of police. "But, anyhow, my name's Elody Swann. Thought you knew that. I'm twenty four, and both of my parents are dead. My name still happens to be Elody Swann. Pa gave me this sword before he died, too. I was just walking down the street when I got asked to come here for questioning by the police."
This last one was the closest thing to a lie in her statement; while she had been walking down the street, she'd just apprehended a criminal, and was distancing herself so that she wouldn't be seen. Taking a breath, she continued. "Again, my name is Elody Swann, and I don't actually know how to use the sword; it's just for show. If I don't know how to use it, I certainly couldn't kill anyone with it, and for crying out loud, my name is Elody Swann!" She groaned and slumped in her chair. Boy, she was tired of that question.

Garth merely watched the talk a between Caitlyn and Elody go on. After Elody said something, Garth would scribble it down on the notepad he was holding, along with how Caitlyn got the information out, and what kind of questions she asked the suspect. Furthermore, he wrote down Elody's reactions to such questions.
However, a barrage of rather familiar questions caused him to pause a moment and a soft smile crossed his face. When Elody mentioned something about a murderer, he wrote it down and underlined it. The detective in training had a feeling she did not kill anyone, unless it was self-defense, but he had a feeling there was something behind that word. Then she mentioned how her father died, and that was how she received the sword. Perhaps, there was a connection between the two events.
When Elody mentioned not knowing how to use the sword and what the report detailing her arrest reported did not add up. It was a rather poor lie, as she had been caught with an unconscious criminal in hand. However, Garth just shook his head a bit and smiled. It seems he was learning rather quickly, or so he hoped. For now he waited for Caitlyn to point out the obvious contradictions and take more notes on the Sheriff's technique.

Caitlyn smiled and took a sip of her tea. However, she motioned to Garth to wipe his own smile off. An expression shouldn't be used without a need.
Caitlyn's expression suddenly changed to a deadly serious one when she put her cup of tea down. She looked at Elody and replied with a fierce tone as before. "Your name is known to me, be sure of that. And let me ask a different question. A criminal was laying unconscious a few blocks from where my officers found you. Now answer and don't lie. Have you seen him?"
Without waiting for an answer, she continued. "Murder is a heavy word. Some think that justified kills are not murders, they are wrong. When you kill someone and you have a cause and benefit, its a murder. When you kill someone yet you do not have a motive it becomes complicated... Wait." Caitlyn rose and quickly went out, returning shortly with the lime green sword.
"See this sword, Garth? I want you to take it to the Piltovian Weapons Facility so they may run diagnostics on it. I want to know all. The origins, capabilities, materials and any other thing you can gather. I'm taking this sword until you can get a license for it. You will get it back." Caitlyn gave the sword to Garth and motioned him to go now. She turned back to Elody.

Elody stayed quiet when Caitlyn questioned her about the convict. "No." That was all she said about his state of consciousness. Sitting up straighter in her chair, she grew stiff as Caitlyn gave her a talk about murder. She'd never killed a person before, and wasn't planning on it. To her, Caitlyn's words carried no weight she didn't already hold.
When Caitlyn came in with the sword, though, and told Garth to carry it off, Elody jumped out of her chair. "No, wait! Don't do that! Please!" She was panicked, and had lost whatever cool she'd had beforehand. "I...okay, I'll tell the truth. Yea, I know how to use that sword, and yea, that convict was my doing. But otherwise, I'm in the clear! Just please...please, don't hurt Tuyel." She gave the both of them a desperate look, but more specifically Garth. Caitlyn would be hard to her pleas; she didn't know about Garth yet.

Caitlyn motioned to Garth quickly to return. That's what she wanted to hear.
"Garth, leave the sword and instead check in the archives for a sword named 'Tuyel'. Check the Piltovian Weapons Facility first. Thanks for your help, you're free for the day afterwards."
Caitlyn motioned to Elody to sit down. "Sit. We still have a lot to discuss. Starting with getting you a license to carry this sword. It is obviously of great value to you."

Elody nodded meekly. "Yes. It means the world to me. I couldn't let you just take her apart." She sighed. "I didn't even know you needed a license to carry a sword." She nodded respectfully, still not making eye contact. "My humblest apologies, ma'am."

((Sorry for the late post))
Garth's smile faded at Caitlyn's motion and he made a quick note of it in his notepad. Then Caitlyn disappeared and returned with a rather large sword, which Garth's eyes went wide that she was able to carry it without struggling. Upon being commanded to take the sword to Piltovian Weapon Facility, he got out of his chair and took 'Tuyel'. This not only caused an outburst from Elody, which made Garth feel a bit bad, but touching the sword also caused something familiar to return to him.
His augmented eye began to itch, but it wasn't an itch he could scratch. Rather, this was a very special itch....whenever he touched something of Zaunite origin or design, his eye would begin to itch. He considered a chronic side effect to the experiments conducted on him, but it made him pause and stare at the sword for a moment.
Caitlyn's new orders broke him out of his stupor and he set the sword back down. The detective in training merely nodded before stepping out of the room and walking toward the Piltovian Weapon Facility. Curiosity now urged his young inquisitive mind to dive deep into whatever files he might uncover and take time to really study and understand them.

(Sorry for my lateness)
Caitlyn motioned to Garth as he went, saluting him with her two fingers for goodbye. As expected, Elody subdued the moment she was to be separated from the sword. "As a matter of fact, you need a license to carry every weapon. Now, I will need information. Are you positively sure that you can't use the sword? Otherwise, you will be sent into a training center."

Elody grinned for the first time in a while. "Well, if I didn't know how to use it, wouldn't that criminal still be on the streets? I may not be the best, but I can at least hit stuff with it well enough."
