It was a late evening where the shadows trailed long across the landscape with an ever growing presence as the sun slowly began its descent beyond the horizon. Studies from the Shadow Temple scattered about working on their techniques with the deepened shadows available to them.
Among them a lone figure standing and staring towards the sun with a frown etched across her features. She kept her back to the other students as they muttered about her disobedience, and rudeness, snickering as some used their shadows to hassle the lone pirate.
With a scowl, Sky turned and glared causing the other students to quickly look away to avoid the temperamental apprentice. She'd scoff, folding her arms as she waited impatiently for Zed to approach her.
Something about training. It was always about training. It's a wonder Zed put up with her most the time, but lately she'd remained pretty quiet about things.
With a sigh, she turned back to the setting sun allowing the frown to return to her features. What the hell did that old psychopath want with her this time?

Zed walked silently among the trainees, assessing how far they had come, without a doubt they could be better. As he heard some of the students grumbling he let out a low growl, "Silence... Did I say to speak?" He does however turn his attention to Sky, his brow knitting into a frown behind his mask as he approached her, his eyes trained on her as he spoke, the annoyance clear in his voice.
"You should have been training with the others while you waited." He stopped moving a few feet behind her, the sun was almost gone and more of the Order were beginning to come out into the court yard to train, "Because the instructors believe you are impossible to train, your lessons will be taught by me personally. Should you fail and prove useless. You will be disposed of."
Another scowl settled on her features when he'd talk to her. She hated him so much. Everything about him made her want to tear off his mask and shove it up his nether regions. The annoyance in his voice evident, she turns slightly to glance over her shoulders, keeping her arms folded.
"Puh." Rolling her eyes a bit, "They don't like me, I don't like any of you lot. I never promised to get along with those idiots." At his thread, she felt her eyebrows flatten with annoyance, "Right.." Shrugging slightly.

"I do not care if you like me. So long as you obey me." Zed began walking away from Sky and out of the court yard, "Come." He walked in silence away from the group that was training and out toward the forests that surrounded the majority of the temple grounds. Ever so often he would check over his shoulder to see if she was following. Eventually he would come to a small clearing in the forest, it was odd... There was no noise of wildlife nearby at all as if driven away by something.
In the clearing there were four wide tree stumps sitting in a square shape, Zed moved without pause to one before sitting upon a stump with his legs crossed. He gestures to another stump to his right, "Sit."
Shadow people follow him everywhere he goes. Looking over his shoulder, the paranoia flows.
Sky reluctantly followed behind looking increasingly annoyed at being lead off away from everyone else. She wanted to make snide remarks and stir up something, but she'd learned over time that Zed wasn't going to be so tolerant. Especially given the increased aggression he'd shown her when dealing with her training.
As they reached the clearing, she looked around and frowned, "Hmph." Sitting on a stump crosslegged with a glare settled suspiciously on Zed.

The burning crimson orbs disappear as Zed closes his eyes from the briefest of moments. Across from him, and to Sky's right, a shadowy imitation of Zed would manifest from the growing shadows. Seeming to simply melt into existence. It sat with the exact same pose as Zed, he had effortlessly summoned a shadow clone within mere moments. The original Master of Shadows open his eyes and turned his gaze to Sky, his voice void of any emotion at the current time, "Since the other tutors believe this to be an impossible feat for one such as you, I will show you the technique. I will teach you the technique that any Shadow Ninja should know."

Sky rolled her eyes as she often did when annoyed, "News flash.." She said sarcastically, "I'm not a shadow ninja." Squinting her eyes at the Shadow Master with a slight scowl. "I'm a Sky Pirate." She said in a matter of fact manner. She leaned her elbows onto her knees and sighed as she stared at the shadow clone Zed had made laced with a scornful air in her violet gaze.

In an instant the clone of Zed seemed to fade away, evaporating into mist before seeming to disappear. Zed's eyes flared as he looked to Sky, he was silent yet his stare seethed with annoyance. Sky would feel a blade press against her throat as the clone materialized behind her, drawing small beads of blood from her skin as the abnormally sharp blade easily split her skin, showing her just how much power Zed had over her, "A pirate is free to do as they wish are they not? To go where they please." The blade leaves her throat, "You are not. I keep you around because if your possible usefulness, should that change in anyway." His eyes narrow as he watches her, his tone cold and sharp, "I will not hesitate to kill you."
As she felt the clone's blade press against her neck and the tiny slice with the trickle of blood appearing against the surface, she froze up and tightened her jaw. A hiss of discomfort touched the air as her head tilted up slightly. When the blade moved away, she relaxed.
"Whatev.. My being a pirate will never change.." She yawns loudly and coughs a bit, sliding her finger against the cut on her neck with a growing frown. "I can't make shadows.. except little ones."

The instant she finished talking Zed seemed to melt into the shadows, the stump where he sat was now completely empty. He would emerge from Sky's shadow, his left hand snapping out and around to clamp around her throat like a vice, cutting the breath from her lungs. He thrusts his right arm blade forward, the razor sharp steel slicing through her skin and flesh like butter. Blood sprayed from the wound as the blade tears straight through her shoulder and out the other side. Zed leans in making sure to keep his hand clamped around her throat so she couldn't interrupt or move away, his voice keeping the cold tone from earlier, "Do NOT make me kill you. You will do as I say." He twitched the blade in her shoulder sending a sharp agonizing pain tearing through her body, "Understood?"
Shadow people follow him everywhere he goes. Looking over his shoulder, the paranoia flows.
She had dismissed him when fell silent, only to realize he was no longer where he had sat. Sky quickly started to look around until she felt the vice-grip clench on her throat, holding her still and keeping her from letting out even a peep of sound. Her hands shot up to grab at his wrist, only tightening as her lips parted with a silenced scream feeling his blade pierce through her shoulder and exit out the other side.
Sky wanted to destroy him. To rip him apart as she listened to his cold words echo through the intense pain. Violet eyes clamped shut as she choked for air, only faintly nodding in response to his question. As her eyes opened however, something feral stirred within them. Something inhuman started to show itself within her gaze, filled with growing hatred towards the man.

Zed tears the blade from her shoulder, releasing his grip on her throat and moving around in front of her. Sky's blood still dripping from the blade as he stopped to study her, he frowned from behind his mask as he watched the feral look stir in her eyes. Zed almost grinned when he saw the hatred showing clearly as she looked upon him, "No more comments. Understood?" He flicks the blade with a sharp movement, Sky's blood splattering to the ground beside him. He did however grow somewhat cautious at the feral look, not something he expected. He had expected her to submit or whimper. No matter, she would be broken or she would be disposed of.

Sky felt the blade rip from her shoulder, causing her to practically choke on the pain of it as his grip loosened and left her throat. A clear bruise began to appear where he had grabbed her, along with blood spilling from her shoulder. She snarled slightly, clutching her hand to the bloodied hole he left behind. She willed the response of her koi origami to remain hidden, unsure if she might need them more later. Once they were used, she would have to recharge them or make new ones and right now she couldn't do that.
With an angered scowl, Sky remained silent. She trembled from the intense pain as it pulsated through her body, but did little else for the moment. It was all she could do to not try to kill him.

Zed allowed her wound to bleed freely, he sat down and crossed his legs upon the stump once more and made a shadow clone manifest once more from the growing shadows. He looked to Sky with an impassive stare, ignoring the scowl and look of hatred. "I will mend your wound when you learn to listen. With no stupid comments." His crimson gaze turn back to his shadow clone that was now sitting across from him in the same cross legged position. "By the end of tonight, you WILL be able to use this technique."
Sky scoffs and looks away defiantly, glaring towards the empty stump across from her. She had plenty to say, but she would for the moment keep her mouth shut. Part of her knew she'd never be able to grasp shadows like he does. It felt like a waste of time to try to teach her.. But it was possibly better then death.
She pushed back the pain, and cautiously allowed a tiny, origami crane to appear from shadows atop her stump. It took a bit of effort given how distracting the wound was, but it'd appear after some time. It was the best she could do.
