Diana furrowed a brow at Swains arrival, tilting her head to the side as he addressed her from atop of the stairs. As she then watched him walk down the stairs, she noticed the two guards slowly following. Diana being more concerned with their presence than the Grand Generals, from knowledge she's gained from the league. She has fought him plenty within the fields, and knows of his standard tricks & powers... but they are always limited. Although this was a formal setting it seems, there would be no harm... hopefully. When the trio reached the bottom of the stairs, she would simply stare at the three until she found it appropriate to speak, almost forgetting the escorts presence next to her.
"I am here on Lunari matters, looking for strong fighters and believers in the Moons guidance. I noticed that this... castle's upper area's have the best vantage points to rest within the Moonlight, and I simply wished to bask in it. I've had a long day, with nothing but disappointment; Perhaps you could understand that yourself hm?"
After her statement, Diana would refold her arms once again. Glaring from guards to Swain and back again, feeling as if there is more than the glowing crimson eyes that seems to never change... she truly wished her blade was within her grasp.

(( Strangely enough, Moonlight Sonata matches the mood of this scene perfectly. ))
He tilted his head at her assertion, raised his eyebrows slightly. The slightest of bemused smiles crinkled the crows feet at his eyes. Indeed, his demeanor was far from hostile, merely politely curious--at least from what his polished mask left discernible. "To bask, madame? Certainly that can be arranged." Glimmering crimson eyes danced shrewdly over her form; he noted the unease, the edgy air of a disarmed warrior.
"The days are long," he offered, "but the nights are longer. Allow me to play the proper host." He lifted his chin to one of her escort, commanding, "Wake the kitchen. Refreshments on the Eastern balcony." Then he offered his arm to Diana and, with the gentle incline of his head towards the staircase, indicated that she accompany him to the upper floors. "Shall we?"

As swain spoke, Diana's tensions were put to ease slowly... but his statement about the night lasting longer truly did calm her. Perhaps it was to gesture as a proper host, as he said; Or perhaps the man was indeed one to be trusted. Her features would turn to that of a small grin, brow raised no more as Swain held his hand towards her in gesture. A simple reply followed, yet still hesitant to say the least.
" I'll be in your... care then."
Diana would then take his hand, feeling no need to be so... defensive.

Up the twisting stair they climbed, slowly, at his pace. Diana's hand rested in the crook of his left elbow, pale against the forest green of his military ensemble. His right hand clutched his cane, trembled slightly with each stair. Around them, the myriad hallways of Darkbourne Hold branched out in all directions, fading into darkness as they stretched away from the main spire. The castle, at this hour, was lit only by a few scattered candles. Its ceiling faded out of view naught but halfway up.
As they passed over a balcony landing, drawing ever nearer the destined moon-gazing platform, the Master Tactician inquired politely, "Lunari matters in Noxus, madame? Quite a long way to travel for simple recruitment, isn't it?"

Diana would grow irritated with the slow pace, but would otherwise keep quiet as she examined the inside of the castle, her curiosity keeping it from showing. She would look side to side and down the seemingly endless hallways that they passed... noting that it truly was an eerie place during the night. Until Swain's inquiry came up, at least.
"Recruitment for the Lunari spans across the city-states, as I personally see to it myself... or it doesn't get done. There have only been a few that personally come to me... which makes it difficult. Other than recruitment, I have other tasks that I must see fit, but today was much more tasking then the others."
After her statement, she'll grow quiet again... ever still analyzing the corridors. Awaiting them to finally reach their destination.

He nodded astutely, shut his eyes as they drew upon the final spiral staircase and took a steadying breath. His pace was not meant to delay her, by any means--and perhaps she would note the frailty of his arm beneath her fingers, beneath the layers of fabric he wore despite the relative warmth of the night. Perhaps she would note the tremor of his body as they climbed.
"Tasking, madame?" he raised his brows as they came to the final landing, wrinkling his forehead. "I hope you've not run into adversity in my city." His tone, though even, twinged slightly with what one might interpret as genuine concern.
Before them stood a towering set of double-doors, carved ornately in the style of Renaissance Noxus. Moonlight shone through the ceiling-length windows, through the sheer layer of curtains. Two servants strode forth silently, as though emerging from the shadows themselves, and drew back doors to the grand balcony, bowing low. An overwhelming scene unfolded. There, hovering just above them, the full moon bathed the entire face of the castle in its silvery light. The gray stones of the castle shimmered beneath its glow, the orb so large it occupied nearly half the clear night sky.

"Navigating through Noxus itself is tasking enough, as I'm still unfamiliar with most of the city. I didn't even know there was a complete underground section until I was lead to it by...fools. As much as it pleases me to... cut down idiots, being attacked by a group who seem to not notice who I am, or what I stand for is... troublesome. I suppose that could be another reason others stayed away from me today..."
Diana would then grow quiet once again, until they finally reached what seemed to be their destination. As the servants appeared out of nowhere to open the large double-doors... her head would tilt to the side, almost anticipating what she might see, as the Moonlight was so strong through the dark castle's windows.
"By the Moons light..."
Diana would let go of Swain as the doors slowly opened and take a step forward, immediately staring straight into the Moon. She truly did not expect such a scene, and was awestruck...slowly moving towards the end of the balcony.

A subtle smirk crossed the general's face as she strode forth, her pale eyes alight with the majesty of the moon. Her body seemed to shimmer in its light, the mark upon her head to shine. He strode unevenly through the double doors, pausing behind her in shrewd observation, his hands folded over his cane.
He did not move to interrupt her reverie, merely issuing his commands to the servants. "Sauvignon Blanc, chilled. A white wine for a white moon." They bowed low and hurried away.

Diana's attention would remain upon the scene before her, gazing forth before the lands seen beyond Noxus, the lower city and the Moon. It's light perfectly illuminating the very dark city... a huge contrast to how it was when she first arrived to the castle. This scene brings her back to when she was atop of Targon, staring at the Moon during those endless nights of being locked away... as it shown through her window within studies. After nearly 10 minutes she returns to face Swain, leaning against the balcony towards him... with a very small smirk upon her features.
This... is beautiful! I must have access to this area whenever I'm in Noxus... Swain.
Her figure glowed in a silver hum of light... showing just how deeply connected she was with the Moon; But she was completely relaxed...unlike earlier. She would then look towards the table that also reflected it's light... as Diana can see her own reflection, the Moon and Swain's figure.

The slightest of satisfied smirks crept across his face. He raised a brow. "Must you?" Behind him, a host of servants bustled forth and set the table with sauvignon blanc, pear tarts, crackers and chèvre. "You are a welcome guest, whenever you should come to call."
The Grand General turned and limped towards the table, where a servant drew out a chair for him. With a belabored grunt, he settled himself. Across the table, the servant drew out a second chair for Diana, facing the moon, should she choose to be seated. Swain leaned his cane against his chest, intoning, "However, one can offer a better reception to the expected guest, madame Diana." He smiled ever-so-slightly, crimson eyes affixed upon her radiant form in careful study.

Diana would gaze at the now open chair that was pulled for her upon the balcony, as Swain called her a welcomed guest. She would fold her arms and watch the display as the servants shuffled about quickly to set the table. Her next reply would be cool, and a complete contrast to her usual defensive stance upon others... finally taking a seat within the chair.
"I must... if I am so welcomed, although I cannot truly announce my arrival within the city beforehand... as I personally see to where I choose to be, not others. Perhaps some of the guard can alert you? Seeing as I'm usually busy with such a matter."
Her brow would raise at the small assortment of treats hastily placed, let alone the wine swain specifically asked for earlier. Diana then takes a cracker, biting it whole & taking a small sip of her wine after finishing the cracker. Diana's aura truly emitted that of a powerful leader as she sat beneath the Moon's light at the table. Her strong, but not as icy gaze would return to meet Swains... once again cupping her chin.
"It would seem you have never seen me underneath the full Moon, even after all of our fights within the Fields. Are you truly that interested with my dealings within the city? Seeing as you have accepted a simple request from me, and bringing me to this wondrous location?"

The Master Tactician chuckled quietly from his side of the table. With a single gnarled finger, he stroked his fiendish familiar's graceful neck. "This is indeed the first time I've seen you by the full moon's light. An impressive sight, I must admit." He noted her suspicious tone. "But perhaps you overestimate me, madame. Benign curiosity and my inclination towards propriety move me to play the proper host. And besides," he tilted his head as she partook of the table's bounty, crimson eyes emitting a bemused glow over her radiant form, "I've no reason to turn you away."
Unfurling her wings, Beatrice hopped to the table, took a cracker in her beak and craned her head towards the moon. "Perhaps," said her master, "a simple letter sent ahead might suffice. If time does not permit, however." He motioned to the dishes set out upon the porch table with a quiet, wheezing chuckle. "A meager reception will have to suffice." It was a veil of modesty, for as Diana tasted the wine and food, its quality became apparent: the finest wine, food freshly prepared from the kitchens below.

Diana would quirk a brow in interest as Swain spoke, now eyeing Beatrice as she moved to grasp a cracker of her own. She would soon notice that his generosity was at it's peak, truly a great host. Her tone was calm as her next question came out, considering Swain's compliment did put her even more at ease... just as she sat beneath the moonlight.
"So what else do you have in store for me Swain? I am truly enjoying this otherwise..."
Afterwards, Diana would continue to enjoy the treats & wine awaiting what seemed to be a dinner underneath the moonlight.

Bushy brows raised, crinkling his forehead. "One would imagine that the best entertainment for The Moon's Mistress is the Moon herself." He smiled slightly, crimson eyes drifting from her face up into the sky, where the full moon still beamed down upon them. Its silver light washed over the balcony, sparkling in Diana's hair, in her glass of crisp wine, illuminating the symbol on her forehead.
"So long as you are recruiting Lunari in Noxus, madame, perhaps you should establish yourself a temple," he remarked offhandedly. His gaze remained affixed upon the moon, but there was a sense of weight to his suggestion that seemed to indicate such a thing were well within the realm of reason.
