Andrei looked at the two paths, "Mhm, okay. I say let the new kid decide, he'll go first." He was curious about that rumbling sound was, but he didn't want to be the first one to check.
Balmung didn't like the mechanical-faced man's tone and answer to his question. If it had been under... less-confusing circumstances, he would have paid the man back in kind. But, as the others chimed in, it seemed they were all stuck together, the playthings of a jester.
Said jester didn't give much time to react, as his voice was already booming out of speakers around them, goading them forward. Balmung could tell the person lacked patience, much like the mechanical-faced man, and found that particular trait an annoyance. Balmung glanced at the fork in the path, before his temporary companion spoke again.
Mask, which the man had dubbed himself, gave Balmung the honor of choosing for them. The shadowy man continued to peer into the dim tunnels beyond, his shadow sight hindered but a little by the soft light above.
Both looked identical. The right held an eerie crimson glow, and from the left there could be heard a thundering noise. Rumbling was at his feet.
"We take the left," his deep, soft voice answered. "And my name..." his soft voice took a hard edge. He looked back at the mechanical-faced man, his blue eyes burning behind a veil of shadows. "...is Balmung."
He turned and began walking, shadows trailing behind like puffs of smoke. As he took steps further into the path, it became harder to distinguish where the man began, and the shadows ended.

Again, the strange, cynical voices catches Teo off-guard, making him slightly cower in fear. He refrains from moving much until the voice is gone again, and the two men have their quick conversation. Timidly the yordle stares off into the darkness, his feet like solid bricks. Fear makes it difficult for him to walk, but the thought of being left alone drives him onward with his companions. The young bard remains silent as he walks alongside Andrei, clutching his flute nervously.
The party enters a wide room, where a soft glow of molten hot lava illuminates the area. The room appears to be a mock set up of a large and expensive Blacksmith's workspace. Red hot fire spews from an elaborate pipe system, which connects to a pot placed in the middle of the room.
Weapons, finished and unfinished, align the walls on racks, anvils are dotted across the room, and the sounds of hard at work blacksmiths can be heard, which also produce the loud rumble the party felt from down the corridor.
However, the sound is not being produced by any of the tools in the foundry. In fact, the source of the clanking is unknown. No one else is present in the room.
There are three entrances to the Foundry Room. The first is where the party came from. The second is located across the room, perfectly aligned with the first entryway, and the third exit is on a balcony overlooking the room. The balcony appears to be inaccessible, however, so there is only one way to go if the party does not wish to stay.

Andrei followed the shady figure through the pathway and into the corridor. He noticed that Teo walked next to him. He stopped for a second and leaned down next to Teo, he lowered his voice. "Hey Teo, stick close to me, I don't trust that shady kid." he said and turned his gaze up towards Balmung, "There's something strange about him."
He looked at Teo, waiting for a reply before standing up and beginning to walk again.
The little yordle steps closer to the masked man, though not too close. Even though he is scared, it is still hard for Teo to completely trust his companions yet. Mask is a bit impulsive and impatient it seems, but at least he showed he cared a little. Fiora, or at least that's what he thinks he said her name was, seems to know the most here but she's so... distant. The new man, Balmug, is a little creepy, and there isn't enough to know if he'll be okay. He seemed alright for now though...
"O-okay..." he mutters faintly to Andrei, looking around the room nervously. He was never big on weaponry.

Fiora was rather silent, following a short distance behind the others. Although she was sure she needed to work together with them to escape, she wasn't ready to trust any of them. Teo and Andrei seemed to be close despite everyone being unfamiliar with each other. Balmung seemed to be mysterious and kept to himself mostly... Her opinions of her companions were rather loose but accurate.
Balmung entered the chamber ahead of the group. The heat was palpable and compared to the corridor they had just come from, rather uncomfortable. A glow emanated from fires around the chamber, illuminating the room enough to travel freely. But there were still dark corners and deep shadows that would cast themselves on the walls with each fire's dance.
The clanking and rumbling he had felt before was still present, it's source unknown.
The shadowed man took a brief moment to inspect the room as he walked further inside. It resembled a smithy, complete with striking anvil, tools, a cooling trench filled with water and raging fire itself. Balmung didn't know how this jester had managed to build such an elaborate lair. It wasn't hard to imagine someone with resources enough to capture him, would also have enough to build anything he desired for his sick games.
Balmung could see two other doors. One that was adjacent to their entrance and another placed above on a balcony. Seeing the balcony gave the shadow man an unsettling feeling. Blacksmiths had no need for such things... This room was for another purpose entirely.
With the sudden realization and the weight he felt in his gut, Balmung transported himself to the nearest dark corner away from the most intense of the soft light, and waited.
