The Master Tactician listened in impassive silence as the two women made their exchange, his hands tented contemplatively before his breastplate. He could not help himself the slightest smirk as the matron extended her hand across the coffee table, graceful, flawless in all her refined beauty. In that moment, twenty years rewound and Evaine, pale and perfect, extended her hand to the Elise of their youth, sultry and suspicious. It was a moment that never could have been, yet here they were, joined again in a kinship deeper than blood, by bonds that ought not to be broken.
His hellish bird hopped up again upon her master's shoulder and craned her neck to watch the goings on. Four pairs of crimson eyes flicked over to Elise expectantly--three avian, one human--and watched her reaction to LeBlanc's extended hand. When the Spider Queen met his gaze, the Grand General nodded once, slowly, encouragingly. Elise had always been a spinner of webs, but this one had just become infinitely more tangled.
No matter. Swain broadening half-smirk lifted his sunken cheeks. The master of puppets never loses track of the strings.

Elise could only look at Le Blanc in surprise. While she had remembered her making attempts at getting her to stay she had thought them just token gestures. Nobody really wanted her there. Perhaps it her anger and despair that clouded her vision on the truth of things. She had been so upset that night. She didn't know what she could say that would change what had happened. Nothing would change the things that were said and done. She could only see to her future. "Yes...I was young and angry then. Hopefully the years have taught me a few things. I didn't mean to betray you. I simply couldn't handle the stares or whispers any longer."
She couldn't help a laugh. Of all the things that had changed in Noxus the Tea was the most important to her. She hadn't changed very much at all in the time she had been gone. She had always been good at making her feel at ease. She knew it was just one of the deceivers guises but she didn't mind it. She needed to let some of the tension go or this would never work. This was a different world then the one she had been in for 20 years. "Of coarse matron. I would like that."
Start at the bottom?! Elise's eyes widened at the thought of starting with the children. The mere thought would have made her face go red if it could anymore. It took Elise much longer then it should have to see that she was playing with her. It wasn't till after she had been laughing for some time that she realized it was a joke and she didn't really intend to make her work from the very bottom like a child. That would be to much to bear...the thought of a champion playing games like a child was just silly. She let out a visible sigh of relief when she spoke of coming back to her rank. "Y.Yes of coarse...whatever you decide."
Never be able to leave again? She had know this...but had she really given this as much thought as it deserved? She was making such a huge gamble. She had so many threads in play yet this one could bring the whole web down. but...still. She looked to Swain and knew she had to do this regardless of the issues that could arise from it. She slowly and obviously hesitantly took the matrons hand. Once she held it however she held her small soft hand in her claw, being overly careful with it. "I understand matron. I understand the honor that a second chance represents. I just hope I can adjust to the old life again."

LeBlanc smiled once more at the Spider Queen. "Now, in regards to your quarters, I assume you cannot stray from the Shadow Isles for long, but come, let us discuss where you wish to rest. Jericho, darling, you don't mind if I spend some time with Elise here, do you? It really is hard to play catch up whilst on the Fields of Justice, and I hope you don't mind if I help her select where she wishes to take residence in, do you? Of course you don't."
The Deceiver started to walk and gently tugged Elise's hand to follow her. "Come along darling, come along, let us talk, let us catch up, we can speak business in a bit. Let your worries melt away, for I am here to protect you. For now, rather than fretting about the small details, let us just celebrate the return of my daughter. Come along, no dallying. Wherever you wish to go in Noxus, my dear, just tell me, and I shall take us there."
When the two left the room, Swain knew not to leave. A minute would pass, and LeBlanc would step out from behind him yet again. The Deceiver brushed her fingers across his cheek. "Jericho, darling, I want you to know one thing with absolute certainty: You know I know that your eyes are not ones that wander. Once they see something they desire, they are forever fixated on the object of desire until it is yours."
LeBlanc slid her circlet off of her head, releasing the illusion of Emilia LeBlanc after a few seconds of waiting and revealed Evaine. Evaine's features were not drastically different from Emilia's, slightly thicker eyebrows, thinner lips but a much more calculating glimmer in her naturally violet eyes compared to the golden, regal gaze of Emilia.
"You also know that when I come to possess something, I do not discard it so easily when I care for it." Evaine wrapped her hands around his shoulders, pressed her chest onto his back and whispered in her ear, "With that said, I must make a confession to you, my darling: If Elise's mouth gets within a foot of your genitals for any reason but the most outlandish live or die reason, I will make her watch as I force feed her her own uterus, tactical advantage or not, daughter or sister, it does not matter. You are mine, now and forever, and I may act recklessly should she try to take that away from me."

The Master Tactician remained silently impassive as Elise was herded from the room--but his eyes flickered as his mistress' illusion fell. He took a steadying breath. Her beauty had never been anything less than overwhelming. Even after twenty years, to meet her violet eyes with his crimson was to be lost in the utter abandon of obsession and desire.
Her breath rushed by his ear and gave him chills. He shut his eyes as a sly half-smile crept out behind his shroud at her words of warning. "Now and forever," he echoed, placing a gnarled hand over her silken one upon his shoulder. "There is no place in this universe or next I could be taken that I would not be yours."
Crimson eyes flickered as his expression became strangely inhuman, as the air about them grew chilled and heavy.
"A thousand years I waited in the in-between, Deceiver--and still I sought you. Nothing can separate us."[/size]
"She's but another addition to the collection, my dove." He leaned his half-shorn head against her temple, "But another tool with which to tend the garden: another rake, another spade, another ho." He leant away, casting her a glance, dropping his hand from hers as he concluded, "You're being silly."

It was so odd being taken by the hand and half guided half dragged around. The last time she had been so treated had been very young and even more pained and lost then she was now. It had been this very woman as well. Some things never changed she supposed. She never would have come back before the king woke up and showed her how she had been wrong. Wrong about everything. She was still reeling from loss and confusion despite her attempts to hide it and to break out of her funk. Perhaps here she could clear her mind up and start to make sense of things ... and herself.
"I really don't know how much I can stay here. The Ruined king is quite observant and would ask questions if I were gone to long. He knows my...habits regarding prey. But at the same time I would love to see where I would be resting." The thought of having her own place off the isles. Even her cave on the isles wasn't hers anymore. The whole of the isles belonged to him and even the land seemed to remind her of that every moment she was on the island.
She looked back one last time to Swain to see his approval of leaving him. She wasn't sure why she had done it. She wasn't sure of so much lately. She didn't feel comfortable in her own skin and it made her angry and irritable as well depressed. All she could do was follow the matron and pretend she wasn't as lost and confused as when she had arrived all those years ago.
