Blanketed in rich green, cascading across the landscape lay a canvas thick with life. The scent of the summer having taken over, revitalizing the death that winter had set in to give nourishment to the spring. It was an endless cycle, and one that many Ionian's embraced. The heart of the world was whispered among tails to be in Ionia.. At least, that's what her Mother told her long ago. Once known as Mai, had become Sky, and lost her way through the brutal teachings of life.
The one she wanted to protect, she set free. She couldn't bare to think of what might happen had he remained close to her. Not after what had happened to Sky not long ago. Her heart had frozen over, and humanity had become a disease in her eyes. A weakness to the predator within her, lurking still beneath the human exterior that she retained.
Within the trees she rushed along, using the clawed gauntlet that Zed had given to her, to more readily sweep around branches and dash across to new trees. The same cheongsam she often wore would be on her today, with both sleeves pulled back to reveal scars on one arm, and bandaging on her other. The shoots of bamboo reached towards the sky, bending as she shifted her weight to bring them nearer to one another, jumping across before using the claw to latch and carry her higher up the shoots. She would stop as her nimble frame balanced nearer to the top, gazing out across the rich green that coated the scenery.
A tiny origami crane would flutter about her head, landing atop it and bob its head as if talking to her. The faintest of smiles would rest on her lips, before she'd start back towards the trees and move deeper unknowingly into the territory belonging to Udyr.
The sun was low in the sky. Evening was settling in. Shadows grew longer as time went on.

There was no sign of the beast man as far as the eye could see. No signs of where he may have stopped to rest, stopped to eat, the forest seemed undisturbed for all intents and purposes. The moment Sky rested, she would hear a loud grunt from below her. The beast man had been following her on foot, as silent as death.
He looked upwards and stared at her. His brow was furrowed, his eyes narrowed, he was waiting for her to make the first move. Talk, fight, flight, anything, Udyr would respond accordingly.
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.
Sky blinked and looked down upon the beast-man beneath her, staring for a moment. She knelt, a bit more curious then a afraid as he stared up at her. "Uh... hi." Tilting her head, the (ex?) Sky Pirate slumped back against the trunk of the tree, tugging a piece of dried fish from a pouch before taking a bite. She'd continue to stare down at him, before holding it out, "You want some?" She asked, shrugging a little as she dug into the pouch for another larger strip to toss down at Udyr.
Sky just didn't care enough to be bothered otherwise. She'd sweep her flask of sake out and took a long swig of it as she watched Udyr beneath her regardless if he took the offered, dried fish or let it hit the ground.

Udyr allowed the fish to hit the ground, not caring for it, and continued to stare at her. "Your purpose. State it," he demanded curtly.

At the wasted food, Sky frowned a bit. "Not much for manners, are ya?" She said, laughing a little, "Can't say I blame you. Manners are for Demacians and stuck up Ionians with too much on their tables for one person." Pausing, she'd look back down at him, taking a bite of the dried fish still in her hand, "Getting away from psycho shadow-puppeteer.. Problem with that?"
She remembered him from the incident back in March with Lee, Warwick, and the odd void thing that they all chased. A small smirk rested on her lips as she tilted her head again, "You're Lee's buddy right?"

Udyr continued to stare at the woman, his demeanor did not change. "We are friends to no one. We know Lee, yes. Why are you in these woods? Why not elsewhere?"

"Because this is where the wind took me." She said, feeling a sense of sorrow touch her. How she yearned to know the embrace of the wind, high in the sky flying wherever it might take her. Snapping back to the now, Sky frowned and laid along the branch with the piece of fish jerky clenched between her teeth.

"The wind?" The beast man stroked his beard and let out another grunt. "Interesting answer. You have our attention, for now. What then do you seek, if the wind carried you here, but you stopped your journey?"

"My journey never stops." She replied, laying on her stomach like a cat with her ankles hooked across one another at the trunk of the tree, "I don't know what I seek." Shrugging, "I guess--" Falling quiet, she frowned noticeably, "..I seek freedom. The wind carried me all over the world until my wings were torn away.." Looking angry briefly. She meant it metaphorically and literally. A slight grumble follows before settling down again, "Who are 'we'?" She questioned, not understanding what he meant.

Udyr crossed his arms, his eyes narrowed once more. "Hrn. Who are we?"
The loud, piercing shriek of an eagle would erupt in Sky's ears. A burst of light lit up the evening as fire roared to life from him and created a wingspan from the body of beast man. The shriek of the eagle was intermixed with the bellow of a bear, Udyr's muscles suddenly becoming engorged. The roar of a tiger mixed with these other two in perfect unison, and as quickly as it happened, they disappeared. If one looked closely, one could almost swear that a turtle shell had enveloped Udyr for a moment, successfully encasing the fire before it could spread out and do any true damage.
"We are Udyr."
The beast man tilted his head, still looking at Sky. "Freedom? You seek freedom? Have you been sent here against your will?"

Sky's eyes went wide with fascination, "Whoa.." Watching him go through the series of spirits containing his body. She had to admit that was pretty cool. The small Ionian watched Udyr a moment before before frowning at his question, "Not here.. Further North.. The lands occupied by the Shadow users." She scoffed angrily, "I hate every last one of them."
Udyr? The name didn't ring a bell. She wasn't exactly following Champions though. She knew TF, Lee, Zed and a hand full others but she didn't know a large chunk of them still. It never concerned her. Wasn't her problem. Sky swallowed the last of the fish jerky and sighed, knowing she couldn't tell him much without risking having her life put even more in danger.
"I want what I had before." She said, "Being able to explore the world and just be myself, and be free again.. Not forced to do the bidding of a fucking mad man." She didn't know why she was telling him this. He didn't seem like the type to help.. but he did socialize with Lee so maybe he wasn't all bad.
"I'm S-- Mai.." She said, giving him her original name, "...they call me Sky now, but.. my real name is Mai."

"Does this mean you are here by his bidding?" the beast man grunted. "We believe you said you are here of your own accord."

Sky looked at him confused, "No? I said I'm further north against my will.. " She wondered if he'd smoked a bit too much of Ionia's happy grass or something. Was she not clear? "As in.. Oh forget it.. It doesn't matter." Slumping lazily along the branch, "I didn't come to this place by anyone's bidding.. Fuck those pricks. I shouldn't have to be a puppet."

Udyr continued to glare at the woman. "So...if you have come here, by your own choice, by your own will, does that not mean you are free?"

She didn't seem to care much about the glare, "..freedom is being able to do whatever, whenever, wherever you want. I've got blood on my hands against my choice.. Do or die.. Now it's just... surviving.." She shot a glare back briefly, "What's all this questioning about anyway?"
