It was a special rarity that, as of late, wasn't so rare anymore. Timidly but with purpose, Naiyu trotted her way through the Institute halls, pushing her way to the outside through swarms of busy summoners and others with business there. The little silver haired girl had gone from leaving her room once every two weeks to at least three times a week.
She wondered briefly if she had gone mad.
Sanity aside, she had her little mission for the day to complete. Making her way down a flight of stairs and into a beautifully grassy area, pale hands reached up to shield her golden hues from the sunlight as she peered around. Large and gloriously tall trees of all variety spread as far as the eye could see, glistening green bunches of leaves swaying peacefully in the air. Among them a row of Peach Trees, bursting with ripe and luscious fruit from nearly every branch. Though...to the far right...one seemed suspiciously devoid of a lot of peaches...
That must be the one.
Scurrying up and around the the giant tree, Naiyu peered upwards and into it's folds, a small shy smile settling across her face. Thankfully there laid the one she was looking for, The Monkey King, Wukong. Though now that she'd found him, it seemed like it was nap time...
"...h...hello?...W...Monkey...King?..." Her head tilted as she tried to rouse the sleeping simian. Gingerly her hand reached out, slender fingers prodding lightly into the hanging tail she could just barely reach. "...P...Please wake u-up...u-uhm..." After a few more seconds of poking and tickling, she sighed, braced herself, and gave a tug to the fur covered body part. "F-Forgive me!"
As she tried to rouse the monkey king from his sleep, an audible snort and snore would quickly follow. What was he doing sleeping this late anyway? He was almost always awake and lively by this time! Collecting peaches, handing them out, eating them himself. At the poking and prodding, the monkey stirred only slightly, curling up along the branch before grumbling in his sleep, muttering something about fighting fierce sea dragons and the like. Clearly even his dreams were filled with battles!
The tail would swing slightly, batting gently at the prodding woman before he'd suddenly feel a grip and the sensation of gravity -
That is until Naiyu felt arms wrap around her from behind, and the sleeping monkey poofing away before her very eyes, "Hiya!" He said quickly, releasing his arms from around her to excitedly hop in front of her. He'd gaze down upon the petite summoner with a growing, cheeky grin, "Ready?" He questioned.

"K-KYUAAA-mph!!!" A strange noise like a startled bird escaped the girl, her hands quickly reaching up to cover her mouth as shivering pools of gold staring up at the taller champion. Of course, even in slumber the Monkey King was well able to escape and even counter surprise her. She should have expected it, and yet...
Well. It was a little fun...
"A-Ahn..." Finally came her reply, her expression settling into a gentle smile. A tap of her hand at a small but sizable pack about her waist came, and she gave a timid bow towards Wukong. "Th...thank you, again...f-for coming with me...I-I know you must be busy, j-just that...uhm..." Her voice faded lightly near the end, and her cheeks flared her signature red. "...Ionlyfeltcomfortablewithyouso..."
Wukong perked his brow at the strange noise she made, and chuckled a bit helplessly at how cute it was. Humans were so neat! He summoned up his infamous nimbus cloud and hopped on happily, extending his hand out for her. Another laugh followed at what she said at the end, "No problem!" He responded happily, "Master Yi will be our first stop in Ionia. Be ready, though! We'll stop a couple of places along the way so you can rest and do whatever you need to." He wasn't sure if Naiyu had intended to sleep under the stars, or if she'd rather rest in a hotel. He was for sure more content sleeping beneath the sky then the strange buildings humans built. He always thought they were a bit odd.
"It may get cold! Hope you packed for stormy weather!" He said cheekily. He didn't mind it. But she might. The sea was unpredictable, and so were some areas they'd be flying over.

Naiyu took only a moment to look at the cloud, a little concern in her eyes as she timidly placed her small hand into Wukong's. The strange, tingly sensation around her skin, where it did show, made her have to try to hold back small giggles trying to escape her. Trying to make herself small against his side, she settled into the cloud, glancing up at him.
"Master...Yi?...The...The Wuju B-Bladesman?..." now that she remembered, Master Yi was the one that taught Wukong Wuju. She suddenly flushed a dark red, brushing her hands over her clothes. Was she dressed appropriately? Should she have worn something more formal?...
At the mention of being in less warm areas, Naiyu scratched her cheek. She was...pretty sure she was ready for it...pretty sure. "...I-I'll be alright...I'll...t-try not to be a hindrance to you...!" She chirped, giving her best smile to the Monkey King. She'd only really need to find a place to shower occasionally...but this was an adventure! She planned to "rough it" as much as possible in this little spur of leaving her room.
Carefully he'd guide her onto the cloud, and smiled when she'd get in tight against him. The cloud was quite soft, with gentle spurts of color here and there flowing out from within it. It was surely quite magical! When she was situated, he'd wrap an arm around her to make sure she'd be held in and kept warm for the trip knowing the winds could cause quite a chill for those without fur like him.
"Yep he sure is!" Replied the monkey, "I visit him every time I go to Ionia! Just like I visit my friends in the plague jungles! Maybe we can go there after Ionia." He offered with a chuckle. "You have to be real strong to survive those jungles.. Don't worry, Naiyu, I'll keep you safe if we go."
He gave a small nod to her reassurance, "No hindrance at all!" He replied, "Just hang tight!" Before she could peep another word, the cloud would start up into the air gaining speed as it gained elevation. He'd be all smiles right now. His arm clinging around Naiyu's small frame to ensure she wouldn't suddenly fly off if any gusts of wind hit he pair.

Before even the thought of answering back came, Naiyu found herself jerked into the air, lips pressed tightly and eyes wide as the land below gradually and quickly disappeared from view. The further they flew from the floor, the more aware she was of just how small the cloud she was on was. Nervously she wrapped her hands around the Monkey King's arm, trying to focus more on the sight than the height.
"...aah..." Her eyes trailed along the skyline, misty clouds and strong, tall mountains ever visible in the distance. Colors straight out of a beautiful painting, this was her world, the world she locked away from herself everyday. Was this what Wukong saw, every time he flew?...
"...It's....r-really pretty up here...!!...you must...l-like flying a lot..." She muttered, trying to aim her voice towards his ear, the wind threatening to take what little voice she did have away.
As he felt her cling to his arm, he'd just smile a bit wider. He had no concern about her safety as long as she was with him on his nimbus cloud. His tail curled about her just to give her that extra bit of reassurance that she was indeed okay on the colorful cloud.
He loved the things he could see up here. As close as he could ever come to touching the sky - so far. Even his staff has taken him close! But it was always just out of reach. How odd! Maybe someday he would be able to reach it! For now, he was content to show off the world to her. The distant oceans were too far to be seen at the moment, but with the speed and the height at which they would travel, the time would be cut down on how long it'd be before Naiyu could witness it. They'd be heading in the direction of Noxus given its location right between Ionia and the Institute.
"I like it! I just can't seem to reach the sky!" He admitted, speaking carefully so she might hear him clearly through the heavy winds at their height. A huge gust would hit them, rocking the cloud about before Wu would stabilize it, laughing excitedly at the sudden turbulence.

The small summoner listened intently as the Monkey King spoke, a light grin on her face with his words. Touching the sky? Sure, to a logical person it was impossible, but...something about the way he said it...it wasn't so hard to believe.
The sky might just be his limit, and if she remembered anything about him from his League of Legends lore, it was that he aimed to pass those limits. For him...that might just be a possibility. It suited him a lot more than anyone she knew. "...I'm sure...you'll get there..."
At the sudden jet of air, Naiyu rocked backwards and let out a loud squeak, moving her arms to cling tightly around his chest and shutting her eyes. "S-Scary, it's s-scary!!!! W-What was that?!?!" She cried out, moving one hand to clear the tendrils of silver billowing around her face, peering out just beyond the cloud. "D-D-Does that happen o-often?!"
"Just the wind!" Exclaimed the Monkey King with a cheery smile. He'd tighten his arm around her small body to make sure she was in fact alright atop his cloud. A laugh followed him somewhat helplessly at her little squeak of fear, "What's wrong, Naiyu?" Asked the monkey, "Look around! The world is too amazing to be scary from up here!"
He'd glance down, letting his sparkling green eyes shimmer with a hint of mischief, suddenly dropping them rapidly towards the ground as if they might crash. He was sure she'd either hate him for the experience, or learn something in the humor of it. What could possibly go wrong? As the cloud descended rapidly towards the ground, his smile only grew with his hair flattening back and the long braid straight back in the air.
Just as they might crash, the cloud would sweep through a group of travelers, scattering them before quickly ascending back towards the sky. He'd glance back and offer a wave to the flustered crowd, watching them wave their fists in protest at his scare.

There was no real way to describe the feeling in her chest as the ever playful Monkey King decided it would be "fun" to send the cloud careening towards the ground at rapid speed. All she knew at that moment, was that she was screaming. Her hands vice gripped and re-gripped every part of everything near her she could as the floor grew closer. Her blood ran cold and her face paled, eyes wide refusing to move nor close as the wind bit into her more and more, and then-
He rose. Up into the sky again, after dismissively waving back to the travelers they'd no doubt upset. It took her a moment to stop the noise coming from her lips, to realize that she, in fact, was not dead on the floor. At first, she was silent, and her fists balled against Wukong's chest. But after a small time, a tiny, quiet, sputter of noise came from her...it got louder...and then...
She giggled, and soon, full blown laughter. It was...strange...
She'd gained for that one moment a voice louder than she'd ever thought she had, felt a rush, a sensation she'd never felt before! The entire time the ground came rushing towards her, she was horrified, and yet, couldn't bring herself to look away! Every color gained a sharpness unknown to her, and the world slowed enough for her to hear her heart beat in a way she'd never heard before. This lingered deep inside of her? There was this potential in her? The thought of something more...she liked it! There was a way to describe this feeling...was this...having fun?
She was...having fun...outside now...?
"I-I...!!" Glittering orbs of sunset stared up towards the champion. Was this...intentional? For her to see just what she was missing out on, the beauty all around? It might not have been...but she did feel a lot more at ease now! "You...Y-You're amazing, you know..." A glow of warmth and calm radiated from her, and she hugged the Monkey King gratefully.
"...T-Thank you, for that...b-but p-please don't do it again t-too soon...I-I might cry...eheh...!!"
The initial screaming he definitely expected. It was really funny to hear, but he knew Naiyu was safe with him. However the laughter caused his eyebrow to lift, and a chuckle quickly followed after. When her laughter got louder, and louder, he joined her in that jovial moment letting the experience radiate through both of them. He was so happy she had allowed herself the chance to really unleash herself, and enjoy the moment.
He was thrilled, in fact!
When he felt her hug him, his eyebrows shot up with a hint of surprise. However the expression faded, replaced with a warm smile, squeezing his arm around her a bit more tightly in a hugging fashion. He'd glance down at the smaller woman with a cheeky grin, letting his green orbs meet her golden eyes, fascinated by the exotic color of them. With a small nod, he'd look forward towards their destination, "I think we'll stop in Piltover first." He commented, "They have a lot of neat things! Hopefully Caitlyn won't shoot me again." He laughed, finding it all rather amusing.
"Of course I'm amazing!" He boasted, "I'm the Monkey King! And don't worry Naiyu, you'll be fine as long as you stick close. Especially up here!" He motioned with the staff towards the direction of Piltover, "It's still a long journey ahead, but we should reach Piltover within a couple of days."

Naiyu nodded her head, a smile on her rosy face at his little boasting. "Ehehe, o-of course~" Anyone who could get her to relax was definitely amazing. It was miracle enough she'd found someone she could talk to somewhat normally...
"...Piltover..." She repeated after him, a finger resting upon her lips. "...I-I've been there a few times...before...w-wait?!"
Her eyes blinked rapidly, looking at the Monkey King with huge apparent concern "S-Shot?!...w-was that time...w-we met...d-did she...?!?!?!"
The memory of her summoning him, their first meeting, drifted into her mind, remembering specifically that she'd healed a rather nasty bullet wound on the exhausted King. Her question on what he'd done to warrant that injury came back to her, and she felt herself pout lightly at him.
"...y-you're not....i-in trouble with her...are you?...s-she's really scary w-when she gets to business, y-you know..."
Wukong gave a helpless shrug. He probably was in trouble, but he didn't mind! "It's a complicated situation." He admits, chuckling lightly, "She shot me because I helped Vi escape to the edge of the city. But you summoned me! And there I appeared!" He grins wide as he glances down at the smaller woman, "It'll be okay! I'm sure we can come to an understanding!"
They'd likely spend a fair chunk of the day uneventfully. However as night would fall, Wu would take them down to a cluster of trees just on the edge of the IronSpike Mountains. The journey across them would be somewhat rough given their harsher conditions, but he was confident the pair would be okay!
He'd look around for a spot against the rock face where Naiyu could rest more easily and safely, and a spot where he could keep an eye on her from up in the tree he'd be occupying for the night. "We'll settle here." He said, moving about to collect some wood for a small camp fire. "Tomorrow we should reach Piltover probably late in the evening if the weather allows us to fly." If it didn't, it would be at least a day or two climbing through the mountainous range. He didn't mind it, but he'd prefer the cloud over foot. Much faster!

Upon his "assurance" that everything would work itself out, Naiyu simply bowed her head, trying to trust in the Monkey King's words. Thought...helping Vi escape? Vi, the Piltover Enforcer of Justice?...just what on earth happened?...
The remained of the trip on the cloud, Naiyu spent spreading her gaze across the horizon, taking in the wonderful sight she could now appreciate fully. At Wukong's suggestion at calling it a night, she had no objections and quietly rubbed her eyes, forgetting in the heat of things that she'd woken herself up at near 4 in the morning just to work up the courage to go meet him. She'd all but forgotten her tiredness in the midst of all that happened.
Once on the floor and situated Naiyu began pulling small things from her pack. A comfy set of blankets on which to sleep and cover herself, and another blanket as well as...an item she specifically hid from view.
Timidly she held the extra blanket out for the Monkey King. "U-Uhm...y-you probably prefer to...sleep in the trees...but if you d-do get cold...I brought an extra, j-just in case?" Naiyu offered, giving a little sleepy smile to the champion.
