"I'm not sure. I don't know its exact location. But I know where it is told to be." Riven took a bit of her rabbit meat. It tasted delicious. "It's on the other side of the Great barrier, meaning we'll have to cross the mountains. From there, it lies buried somewhere in the sands of a desert." She took another few bites of her dinner as Astrid asked her question.
"If we're going to be traveling together, we'll be sharing all of our food and water. No one gets any more, or less, than the other unless one is injured." She turned her amber gaze to meet the eyes of the woman across from her. "That is how I ran things with..." Riven halted. Thoughts of Ionia and her failing Fury Company flooded her mind with those words. The last time she had traveled with anyone like this was back then, and it was unpleasant to relive the memories, especially in front of company. She looked away and busied herself with her meal.
"Nevermind... Enjoy your meal. Consider it a gift to solidify our bond of companionship for the moment..."

Astrid raised a hand toward Riven and nodded. "Say no more, I understand." She said, noting the other woman's hesitation to mention others form her past. "I can understand what you were going to say, and let me say... that I am honored you will consider me such a companion now."
Her head bowed just a small bit, truly showing her respect. "Then I shall accept this fish from you, Riven, as a gift for our... companionship."
Grabbing at the fish, Astrid raised it to her mouth quickly and took a bite out of it, ripping back and chewing quickly. She reached up and grabbed at a bone which was in her mouth and pulled it out, tossing it into the flames. "Apologies...." She said, realizing in her furor to feed, she threw away her manners.
Tossing another bone into the fire, she swallowed the fish meat and began to slowly rip apart the gifted food.
"I look forward to our journey... but not so much as to the destination." She had to admit.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
"Battle is something I no longer cherish or look forward to either." Riven nodded, content to eat her food. "I've seen far too much of it, and far too much death to be eager to witness it again." She admitted.
She watched the other woman bow and thought over her words. An honor to travel with someone that had allowed her entire company, the closest thing she had to a family, die? She couldn't understand the woman's words, but she was not going to call her out on them. As much as Riven didn't like the possibility of reliving her past, she also saw this as an opportunity to change, and have a second chance. She shook herself out of her somber thoughts by watching Astrid eat. She couldn't help but chuckle.
"I assure you I've seen and shared meals with far worse eaters. There's no need to stand on ceremony out here." She allowed a very faint smile. "Please, eat. Don't worry about it."

Astrid shook her head and laughed, "Very well. We will be spending a lot of time with another from now on, I suppose. No need to be on best manners?" She said. It had been a long while since she acted so open with another.
"I will not ask about your past, as I know some from stories... but I would like to hear from you, the truth of it all... some day, if you allow me to accompany you that long." The warrioress spoke, shrugging her shoulders back and taking another mouthful of fish to chew upon.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Riven nodded. She had spent much of her life among soldiers, warriors of all kinds. She didn't particularly obsess over eating manners and the like. That was not her way. "We'll see how long this lasts. I'm not used to having a companion during my wanderings, so...we'll see." Riven spoke simply. She wasn't going to make any kinds of promises to the woman if she knew she wasn't going to keep them.
"As for my past, let's simply leave it in the past for now and focus on eating our respective meals, hmm?" Riven turned her attention back to her rabbit, and took a swig from her waterskin to wash it down.

"As you say." Astrid dropped both conversations completely and focused upon eating the fish Riven gave to her. It was not exactly how she would have liked it cooked, but none the less, it was delicious and generously given to her.
She had finished the rest of the meal in peace and quiet, decided it was the proper course of action. Placing the fish bones down upon the rock Riven had originally offered to her, Astrid gave her thanks.
"The fish was good, I thank you Riven. I wish I could offer you something in turn though."
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Riven finished her meal after some time as well, and was quiet as she contemplated the flames. She glanced up to the woman as she spoke. "Genuine generosity is a rare thing in Noxus, but I assure you, you've no need to repay me for the fish." She shrugged.
"In any case, I've had a long day, so I believe I'll be turning in soon." She pointed toward Astrid's belongings. "I suggest you set your bedroll up behind the rock there to block most of the cool wind, and keep the heat from the fire close." That said, Riven tossed the remains of her dinner into the fire and set to work preparing her bedroll.

Astrid eyed Riven curiously then chuckled. "The cold doesn't bother me as much as you would think it would a... pure blood like you." Regardless what she said, the woman took Riven's advice and did indeed set her bedroll up by the fire.
"You sleep... I think I'm going to stay up for a bit longer." She said to her companion, pressing her back to the rock and pulling her knees up to her chest as she looked up to the sky. Her eyes seemed to glimmer as she eyed the stars above. "Their pretty..." She said to no one in particular.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Riven slipped herself into her bedroll, leaving all of her armor and clothing on. It would serve to keep her warmer for the cold night ahead. The ground was hard, but the skins and furs of her bedroll were warm, and she began to relax. At Astrid's comment, Riven glanced up to the stars as well.
There were many of them in the night sky, even more when the night air was cold and crisp like it was now. Free from the lights of the city, countless lights shined bright above her. Her gaze lingered on the stars as her thoughts wandered to various topics. What waited them in Icathia? Why was she even going there in the first place? Wasn't reforging Noxus first on her priorities?
She sighed and rolled over, staring into the flames of her fire. She reached over to the wood pile near her and placed a few more large logs on it to keep it burning for a while longer. Then, she returned her gaze to the flames, and tried to drift off to sleep.

Astrid's eyes remained locked on the stars for now. Thoughts of war filled her mind as it did most nights. War was practiclly imbued with her, being of both Noxian and Freljordian descent.
Astrid decided she would let Riven get some sleep and watch over her for the time being, in case any of the wild animals decided to come upon them in their sleep.

Sivir's feet smacked the earth as she walked, her hood was pulled over her face, her faithful cross blade gripped tightly in her hand as she walked the road of the Dead Lands. Sivir couldn't help but smirk a little, a fairly large dead wolf was slung over her left shoulder.. her cross blade dripping with fresh blood. Sivir looked up at the sky for a moment, her blue orbs narrowing in the darkness before she trudged on
It wasn't long until the smell of a campfire hit Sivir's nose, and she raised an eyebrow as the sight slowly came into view... "The Exile? What was she doing here..?" Sivir's eyes drifted over to the woman she was sitting with. "And she's actually with someone?" Sivir simply shrugged, Riven's business was none of her own, and frankly she did not care
However, Sivir made no move to address the Exile as she passed the camp.. she did not need to know the woman to know that Riven didn't at all care for the kind of person Sivir was, and from the looks of it.. she was asleep. Sivir simply walked on by, only giving a glance to the woman who was with the Exile before beginning to continue on.

Astrid's nose flared for a moment as the winds shifted once more. Her head snapped to attention and she quickly got to her knees, poleax gripped rightly in her hand as the flames reflected off it's blade. Someone was near by, and they smelled of death. Blue eyes turned to her companion who seemed to be fast asleep, and frowned.
"I'll be back." She murmured as she stood completely, leaving her things behind in the camp and set off, following the scent of whom ever it was that had past by the camp.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Sivir continued to walk on, not thinking about the camp for a second.. but then, something did cross her mind.. she got a good look of the woman, however, she was pretty far from the camp.. they could have not gotten a good look at her. Just as that thought crossed her mind, she stopped in her tracks, years of experience of being tracked by assassins kicked in as she gripped her cross blade and spun around.
Sivir dropped the wolf carcass and scanned the area with her blue eyes.. not seeing anyone.. but she knew someone was there. "Come out" Sivir's voice cut the night air.. normally she would have simply attacked.. however she did not believe this was an assassin "This is the only warning I give.. I suggest you take it.." Sivir's eyes narrowed as she began to rapidly scan the area around her, looking for the slightest hint of movement

Astrid had followed close to the darkened figure, with no source of light, she could not tell whom it truly was, but she could tell that it was at least female with how they walked and the smell coming off of them. Then she stopped, and dropped what ever it was she was carrying, and this confused the warrioress.
Shaking her head, Astrid knew that she had been caught, and walked out of the darker brush toward the other person. "Well, I didn't expect to see you here, Mistress Sivir." She said aloud. Her weapon balanced upon her shoulders as she rested her wrists on the length of it. "Where you the one I sensed earlier by Riven's camp?"
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Sivir relaxed her stance somewhat as the woman following her made herself known, Sivir pushed her hood back and scanned the woman with her eyes, her raven colored hair blowing a little in the wind. "Indeed I was" Sivir answered back "You were the woman I saw with her." Sivir let her arms fall to her side, but she still kept a firm grip on her cross blade.. the woman didn't seem to be threatening, but one could never be too sure. "Why were you following me" Sivir then asked "..And who are you?"
