"I see." Astrid stopped just a few paces away from the other woman. Her eyes gazing up and down the famous mercenary. Quickly, she twirled the poleax around and held it in a battle stance, taking a quick step toward Sivir she began to swing the weapon toward her... then halted. Her lips turned into a smile as she let the weapon fall to her side.
"Sorry about that. I just wanted to see the legendary Sivir in action." She grinned. "I was following you because of that." The blade of the poleax nudged against the carcass at Sivir's feet. "I could smell it on the wind, and thought it was something... vile. My name is Astrid De Rosier of Noxus... and Freljord. It's a pleasure to meet you finally."
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Instantly, Sivir jumped back and flung her cross blade at the woman.. only to have it whiz by her head and circle around to return to it's owner, her own lips quirking a little in a smirk "Be careful what you wish for" Sivir simply said, catching her blade and letting it fall to her side.
Sivir's eyes then looked down at what Astrid was poking and nodded "Yes, I killed it just a few miles back.. seemed to be good meat" Sivir looked at the woman up and down again, stabbing her blade in the ground and folding her arms "You're no mere citizen, that much is clear" she said, looking at the poleaxe, Sivir then nodded to Astrid "And it is a pleasure to meet a fellow warrior as well"

"No mere citizen...?" She blinked her eyes. "Well, I would hope not."
The poleaxe flourished once more until she rested it upon her shoulders once more. "Why don't you join me at Riven's camp...? She's asleep so I'm sure she wouldn't mind." She thought for a moment. "Or maybe she would, I don't know... but I'm sure it'd be better then freezing in the cold out here." The woman said, tilting her head to the side as the joints popped slightly.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Sivir shook her head "Riven would not be very.. fond of my presence." Sivir replied resting her eyes on Astrid "She doesn't view me in a good light, if you will" Sivir rolled her shoulders forward, her joints popping as well "Besides, the woman would probably be upset with you for bringing me there"

Astrid shook her head. "Perhaps, or perhaps not, Riven wouldn't leave someone out here to freeze... At least, that is what she told me when I approached." She said. "And besides... you could offer her some of your kill for the use of her fire. Trade for resources... it's how it's done in freljord." The warrioress offered.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Sivir looked at the dead beast then back to Astrid, thinking for a moment "Okay.. fine" Sivir replied, picking up the wolf again "I doubt Riven would attack me unprovoked.. however, I do not truly know the woman, so we'll see what happens." Sivir added, walking towards the camp sight

"No, she wouldn't. In fact... I think you two may be more alike when you may realize." She smirked, turning back toward Riven's camp and followed behind Sivir. "So Sivir... have you any tales about your merc going on's...?" She asked, interested in any stories from the woman herself.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Shaco was leaving Noxus, when he noticed a scent of a campfire. Shaco followed the scent to the campsite. Noticing Riven, Sivir, and Astrid, Shaco swiftly ducked under a dried up log to avoid detection. Shaco stopped for a moment, then slowly slunk away. He had more important matters to attend to in Zaun. Shaco considered coming back to the campsite after he finished business at The Reserve, but for now, he couldn't become sidetracked with trivial matters such as these.
"Tales?" Sivir smirked "Yeah, I suppose I do.. one time, I was out on my travels, just like this, when a group of Noxian assassins jumped on me.. poor fools." Sivir smirked again "Anyways.. it was three to one, and not looking that good for me.. but I didn't plan on dying that day. I charged them with my corss blade head on, taking one of their heads clean off, turning to block the attack from another while last swung at my back.. however, I ducked and he ended up cutting his friend.. just I rose up and split him in two.. however, I did not leave unscathed."
Sivir pulled up the back of her shirt, showing off a rather nasty scar that ran across her side. "The last one got me good, but I got him better" Sivir went on. "From there.. it was hard to remember what happened. I began to walk to a nearby city.. but eventually collapsed from the loss of blood.. honestly, I thought I was going to die, just before I lost consciousness. However, I awoke a few hours later somewhere in the woods.. with my wound stitched and cleaned. To this day, I do not know who saved my life, or why, but it happened."

Astrid listened on to Sivir's story and almost laughed at the ending. "Good think who ever they were came along when they did though." She had recalled a similar story some time, though from the other point of view. A friend of hers came across a dark haired warrior who was bleeding out. Though that had to have been after... or before Sivir's happened.
"You were lucky." She added in. "I'd share one of my own but... I don't think you'd be interested in my stories." She said, smirking.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
"I was.. I'll admit that" Sivir replied, continuing to walk. Sivir then smirked a little herself "If the stories are any good, it would be a shame not to tell them"
Riven stirred as she heard voices. Immediately her hand flung to her blade, and she was on her feet, glancing around for signs of trouble. Her heartbeat slowed, however, as she spied the woman named Astrid, and another familiar face. One that she had not seen in a very long time...
"Battle Mistress..." Riven placed her blade at her side, still in hand, but not openly threatening. "It's been a long time..."
Sivir gave a soft laugh as she saw the Exile jump up, blade in hand. Sivir continued to walk, only to stop a few feet from the snow haired woman "I am mildly surprised that you did not attack me on sight" Sivir replied, her hand also gripped on her cross blade, though it remained at her side.
"It has been a while, Riven." Sivir then added "I honestly thought you perished in the Ionian campaign.. that is, until your entrance of the League" Sivir paused "However, I did not bother to find the time to seek you out.. the sight of me is not a pleasant one in your eyes, that much is clear"
The raven haired warrior let the wolf carcass fall rather unceremoniously on the ground. Her flickered to Riven's broken blade for a split second "Be that as it may.. I am not here to draw blood"

"I have no ill will toward you, Battle Mistress." Riven set her blade aside. "In fact, I was hoping I would be able to run into you at some point." She crossed her arms and looked the the raven-haired Noxian woman. She looked as strong and as capable as ever, however, Riven wasn't sure if now was the right time to discuss what she wanted. The chance meeting, however, was too good to pass up.
"You walked away from Noxus after they invaded Ionia. You thought the invasion poorly planned and executed... You saw the carnage and death on both sides before it happened." She sighed. "Unlike me, you didn't have to lose everything you ever loved and held dear before your eyes were opened...and you realized that Noxus as it was, as it is, is flawed..."
Riven crossed her arms, looking the warrioress in the eye as strongly and seriously as she could. "I know you crave material wealth more than moral rightness, but even you have to know that the path the Grand General walks is flawed, and dangerous for Valoran. Noxus has fallen from the path of true strength, and honor." Riven glanced to Astrid momentarily before turning her attention back to Sivir. This was as much important for her to hear as it was to the mercenary.
"Our homeland seeks to ally with Zaun and use its terrible weapons to kill friend and foe alike to achieve victory. Our Grand General uses trickery and deceit to gain power in underhanded and manipulative ways. That isn't strength. Those are the actions of a coward." She placed a hand on her chest and continued.
"I want a stronger, more honorable Noxus, and I am willing to fight, and die, for that goal alone if I must, but there is no need to suffer this burden alone if others can truly see the strength, honor, and wisdom in my views. After all, Noxus must be saved by Noxian hands." She looked to Sivir again, her face strong and stern. "So, I ask you, Battle Mistress, will you help me fight for a stronger, more honorable Noxus? One where our homeland's name can be spoken with reverence for our strength and determination, instead of uttered with contempt and disgust by the rest of Valoran, and those that know how corrupt and black it truly is?"
Riven would stand there, awaiting Sivir's reply in silence, the last of the words spoken between them drifting into the ether of memory. Despite what the Noxian propoganda would have claimed, Riven still loved Noxus. That was where her heart would always belong, but it pained her greatly to see her home so plagued by corruption and deceit. There were few Noxian champions that would think the same as Riven did, felt as she did. If not Sivir, then few of them would be convinced to help her achieve the stronger, more honorable Noxus in which she believed with every fiber of her being. Too many had died in pointless conflict, and needless death in Ionia...in Freljord... The dead deserved more for their sacrifice than the corrupted Noxus that currently existed. They deserved peace, and that peace could only come about if the current Noxian regime was dismantled, and the people's eyes opened to the true strength that she had discovered when she had nothing else...
Sivir paused as she listened to her fellow warrior speak. She did not believe Noxus as a whole was an honorableness hole.. but the Exile's words did catch her attention, and so she spared them a thought. Sivir did not invade Ionia.. for two main reasons. One, it was foolish, as she predicted, and two.. there was no honor in slaughtering innocence.. and no challenge. Now Sivir did not restrict herself to moralities as much as Riven did, but the Battlemistress carried herself with honor.
She left Noxus, for she to saw it as honor less.. or, at least she saw the Darkwills as honor less. However, being with the Grand General.. a sickening feeling twisted her stomach. He was no different.. maybe more wise.. but he did not claim his place through strength.. the way Noxus would have him, no, he claimed it through trickery and lies. Sivir let her own cross blade fall to the ground.
The fact that she did.. work for such a corrupt country.. sickened her. Sure, Jericho was a powerful man.. an honorable one? Sivir could not say. And with his decision to withdraw Noxus from the League.. Sivir saw that as a very.. unwise choice.. How could that be best for Noxus? How could potentially creating another rune war be best for anything? Sivir shook her head for a moment. She was already under the banner of Noxus once more, but why? Why did Sivir return to a country who had sent countless assassins after her when she left? Sivir asked herself this, because she thought she had returned for the work.. when in reality, she loved Noxus, and wanted to restore it.. thinking the Grand General could do it. Even she succumbs to mistakes..
Sivir shook her head a little.. and paused after the Exile had stopped speaking. No doubt Swain would pay her handsomely for her service.. but what worth was gold when it came from such a hollow solution..? Sivir looked to the snow haired woman, Sivir was always told that she betrayed Noxus.. and that she hated the country, but anyone.. anyone who could speak these kinds of words for their city state did not hate it. Riven did not betray Noxus, Noxus betrayed Riven.. that much was always clear to Sivir.
"I am already under the banner of Noxus once more" Sivir admitted, pausing for a moment, her eyes locked with Riven's "But you have given me a new purpose to fight, and for once, it's not for coins." Sivir then extended a hand towards her fellow warrior "I will help, in any way I can"
