The summoner cleared her throat. "All right," she breathed, "We'll begin." But her eyes wandered the room, perturbed by the empty chairs, by the conspicuously absent Demacian court. She began preparing her notes.

The general lifted his chin as she entered, leaned over to return her whisper, "A few tawdry peacocks comparing their plumes, matron. Nothing more."

The summoner stood in silence before the diverse crowd, her slender hands shaking. When she finally spoke, her voice was weak, trembling. "The Council of Summoners has asked you all here to confirm..." she paused. "That there has been a serious breach of security at the Institute of War."

The summoner swallowed hard, eyes darting about the room. "The Terror of the Void, the monster known as Cho'Gath..." She bit her lip. "Has been released."
"What's more, the magics used to free him from his prison are not native to Runeterra..."

The door at the entrance opens and Xin Zhao steps through. He strides into the room, slowly scanning everyone before nodding at the summoner. He steps past the different groups his face straight and sits down at an open seat.
(( I would make this longer but it appears I've missed a bit, I was also hoping J4 would get in on time and I'd come in after but eh.))
Darius was just about to nod off, when The Seneschai entered - immediately his eyes flashed, and he had to grit his teeth to bar himself from barking obscenities at the high ranking Demacian.

Vera bit her lip. Her eyes darted momentarily to Xin Zhao, glad that at his entrance many heads had turned around the table, affording her a split second to gather her wits. "The Rift Walker has not been seen in Valoran for over a fortnight," she addressed the Eye of Twilight. "Summoners have tried to contact him. He eludes us."
"Our fear, and the reason we urge you all to be on alert in your respective lands, is that the void...." The woman paused, still trembling. She nearly whispered the final word. "Encroaches."

The general raised his brows, interlaced his fingers on the table. "Ah, the shortcomings of the League of Legends. How very unexpected." His sarcasm was subtle, but detectable by the familiar champions upon his left and right.
