Working together and relying upon another. With the amount of summoners that he would be participating with, defeat was inevitability. It would not be like his conquest off the field but to think that even he could not be defeated was foolish. He would have to be a show of force and make as much of a mark as he could. He would be measuring himself against the strongest Runeterra had to offer, including others within Noxus.
“Correct.” He answered. It was his known title, an honorific bestowed upon him that he carried with pride. “So those statistics will eventually be relevant to me. What do they regard if you don’t mind me asking?” It was curiosity, nothing more or less.

Tybresa raised her gaze from the papers, a trace of puzzlement showing itself on her features for a moment before she blinked her eyes at him and smiled. "Oh - the statistics?" She shuffled a few papers back and forth. "Usually the ones we receive at the very beginning is mostly about a champion's potential, split in four main categories - Strength, Defense, Magic and Difficulty. In your case, your strength and defensive statistics are quite high, with your magic being precisely null ... And difficulty is at a grade four out of seven. The latter concerns mostly the freshly-fledged summoners who are still unsure on their capabilities."
"But, I digress." She continued as she began shuffling a couple of papers once more before she stacked several over one another, arranged them neatly ... and then passed them on to Darius. "Feel free to read these for yourself - it holds a brief summary of your life as well as the personal information you have submitted to us, like your family name, citizenship and miscellaneous other things. I prefer if I had your approval over them first before they will be filed in your folder and be at the perusal of the summoners ..." As soon as he would take them out of her hands, Tybresa would pick up a pen and another paper. "And then I will need to discuss with you about the necessary accommodations for your suite here, at the Institute of War."

These statistics and what of this difficulty? This is not what the Hand of Noxus pictured in the slightest. He understood the need to acquaint summoners who would be unfamiliar with him but the way these things were phrased. “I sound like a play thing.” He grumbled as he took the stack and over-viewed it. His citizenship, his military record but he starred at the spot where his family name was. Something lost to time. He barely remembered his father and mother. His judgment reminded him of the grim fact that his upbringing and childhood had been harsh.
“The bare minimum. I will not be using it much. My duty is to Noxus. I will not be staying on these grounds unless I am required to. How often will I be required to be here?” His eyes drifted back to the paper. He knew there would likely maybe be a week out of the month he may be forced to stay, maybe less than that but maybe what he had heard was wrong.

"Ah ..." Tybresa found herself sheepishly grimacing as she averted her gaze, lightly biting her lower lip - how was she supposed to explain that as smoothly as possible? She had an idea. "I suppose it ... appears like that at first glance, but I assure you, on the Fields of Justice, we are all equal. The summoner is nothing without the champion and vice versa. It requires a strong bond between the two and the distinct cooperation of both of them to have things work smoothly and satisfyingly. Though I suppose you will hear people come forth with such ... derogate comparatives quite often - the cause, I cannot tell you for certain. It could be jealousy, or disdain ... but nevertheless, it would be far from the truth."
She let out a small sigh, showing that the matter was done and quickly moved on to the next topic at hand, if only to hold Darius from thinking it through. "You are free to stay at the Institute as much as you like as well as take advantage of the resources offered at hand - the Training Grounds, the Artificers, the Library and even the Stewards. Whenever you are summoned for a match, however, you are expected to arrive with two days prior and stay for two days after - as protocol dictates. Though you can always show up earlier than that should you feel like it, or if you wish to prepare for the battle to come. As for frequency ... whenever you are expected to be summoned for a match, I fear. I cannot tell you how often that can happen, but expect it to be a once or twice a month, give or take. That is all I can tell you, for now - I suppose the both of us will find out concretely after you pass your first month as a champion. As your assigned Steward, I will always let you know when you are summoned for a match." Tybresa allowed herself to smile softly. "I suppose I should tell you now that the hummingbirds are my representatives. It will make it easier for you to distinguish which missives are from me."
However, she quirked an eyebrow as she heard him confirm the records are accurate, which she found ... curious. Of course she knew the contents of the file - after all, it was she who either wrote or transcribed the information ... and she was aware of the few blanks settled in the record. She did not see the General move to take a pen and fill in, neither did he seem to voice it out. "Are you certain?" She questioned softly, careful not to offend. "In that case, simply sign your name at the bottom of the first page there ... and then I will need you to sign this, for your rooms." She was quick to offer him a pen at hand, followed by the smaller stack of papers, indubitably the terms and conditions of the abode.

Darius took the pen in hand; the difference in size between them was easy enough to see as his gauntlet grasped the writing utensil and signed neatly his first name. No last name followed. “I am certain.” He signed the second page. Yes, there were blanks but they were blank for a reason. Darius wanted to protest this equality. Everyone was not equal and it was foolish to pretend otherwise. Fixing the competition for the illusion of balance went again a key principle but he was here and now part of this place for his City-State. The fact she moved so quickly only confirmed she didn’t want to argue. Nothing would come of it.
“It sounds like a routine that I will learn as I proceed. It’s simple enough.” At least it sounded as such. It was also convenient she would be the one to inform him of when he would be needed. At least he had the luxury of working with one summoner rather than multiple. But humminbirds? Odd. Was it some type of familiar? “Why hummingbirds?”
