The door to the lowest hall was ajar when Warwick found it, bursting in before halting to take in a long drought of the air. Blood and fear were still rife here, and it set his senses ablaze. His hair was still raised in a menacing manner, the strange unnatural feeling of dread that accompanied Nocturne's every movement lingered for a while. Even the brutes felt it, they were able to hide it from the eyes of people, but never from Warwick's nose. Edging down the corridor at a slower pace, he came to the crime scene.
A single summoner was already down here, a woman staring at the scene with wide eyes, probably in shock. The Blood Hunter shoved her out of the way roughly and ordered her to leave before inspecting the bodies, hunching down next to them and sifting through the bloodied robes. They'd all died from lacerations, quick precise cuts, no fools work. He leaned in on one such cut and inhaled deeply, at which point the still watching summoner fainted and slumped against the wall. The blood was still fresh, but he didn't get much information from that.
Leaving the bodies by the door, he walked into the chamber to find another, different from the previous ones. There were no visible wounds on the body, but the horrible contortion of her face left only one guess as to how she died. He pulled the corpse in and filled his nose with the stench of fear still emanating from her. There it was, the small mistake he was looking for. Satisfied, he dropped the body and left the dark chamber, waiting for Swain and his lapdog to arrive.
Darius stepped into the room, eying the wolf as though he were oblivious to the carnage around him; he drew in a sharp breathe through his nose, and let out an incognizable growl.
Warwick had his back to Darius, looking down at the body as if he was still examining it. The wolf's normally savage expression was gone, and replaced by one of quiet contemplation. "Shouldn't have done that, boy..." he said under his breath, before turning to Darius. "Watch your step" he motioned to the stone floor, still slick with splatters of blood. "You might slip and crush something." He suppressed a wry smile, he always loved how easy Darius was to stir up.

Shortly thereafter, the uneven footfalls of the grand general echoed off the walls of the lowest hallway. He shuffled past many a darkened door before he came to the one that lay open, the room beyond drenched in carnage. He paused, red eyes flitting from corpse to corpse, from the Werewolf to the Executioner. Then he stepped inside, over the nearest body.
"Well?" he growled, folding his hands over his cane. "What is it?"
Warwick looked at the Grand General and crossed his arms. "Talon was here" he said, sure of his judgement. "The three outside dropped easily, but he left his scent on this one." He glanced down at the last corpse, the smallest hint of disappointment in his voice.
It would be a genuine pain in the ass if word got out that a Noxian champion - no matter how loosely affiliated - was responsible for setting the Nightmare loose. It could potentially land them the blame for Cho'Gath's release as well, and that would not slide easily with the other city-states. Warwick was a Zaunite by nature, and cared little for the state of Noxus's reputation, but if this effected his employability then he would not hesitate to offer his services. After all, this wasn't a dire situation to him, it was a business opportunity.
He looked to Swain, tail lightly flicking from side to side in anticipation.

Swain's expression darkened upon mention of the Blade's Shadow. For a few moments he stood still, apparently lost in thought. Then he shook his head, grunted as he came to his decision and uttered, "Find him," lips taut with anger behind his mask.
Darius lip curled, "just like the coward..." he looked down at the various lacerations on the nearest body "cut and run." His eyes shifted to Swain, "why Jericho... what are his intentions for this."
Warwick nodded in affirmation and his eyes appeared to grow an even more intense shade of red as he walked past the two, stalking back down the hall. Hunting the assassin would be an interesting task for him, considering the Blood Hunter hadn't had worthy prey in weeks, much less one as skilled at hiding as Talon. The wolf quite enjoyed his take on 'cloak and dagger' tactics, and was in the mood for a challenge.
Yes, it would feel quite glorious to actually gut someone for a change, watch the writhing body crawl away from him in pain. Stand and drink in the sheer terror that escaped their lips as he - Warwick paused, cutting the train of thought short. He brought his bloodstained paws up and examined the claws on each, longer than when he had last properly checked. He was similarly surprised to find he was salivating, roughly wiping it away from the edges of his mouth with an arm.
With an inward growl he got back to work and sleuthed up the halls, each padded step now soft in contrast to the earlier scrambling and haste. Warwick had a job to do, but in the back of his mind he deliberated whether or not it was time to see Singed again for a... check-up, as he called them.
Darius barked down the hallway, "just chase him up a tree and we'll do the rest!" He tilted his head to Swain, "can't we just let the nice little doggie tear him limb from limb and spare me the trouble?"

The general spoke quietly as he trudged around the room, the train of his robe brushing over splattered blood. "Information is the currency of power, Darius, and the boy has some that I want. If he is anything like his mentor, this emancipation was not exacted on an arbitrary whim." He finished his surveillance of the room and headed for the door, adding, "After my questions have been answered, I will flay him, flesh from bone. Personally."
