Ethan had remained buried in the cabinets, combing for any missed files for a few moments. It was only when his companion had stopped looking through the files he'd already retrieved, that he took note. He glanced over at her with a small noise of confusion, directing his gaze over her shoulder to the small file. The first read revealed nothing, but a quick second scan tightened his jaw and made him draw closer, carefully reaching around Vera's side to tap the two names upon the sheet.
"What would these two have that Noxus wants, especially coming from Ionia? I've never known them to work together before. Everything I know of Rengar suggests it would take some doing to persuade him to hunt for someone else's benefit, especially if the creature was alive in transit." Ethan mumbled, thinking aloud for the most part, though lost in his thoughts he had drawn near enough to be peering almost completely over the smaller summoner's shoulder.
He continued unknowing of the closeness."The Blood Hunter had something to do with it as well, though he is more like to take live victims. Neither of them seem overly likely to work together." He paused from his verbal rumination and took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a moment. "This is worrisome..."
He returned to normal as his eyes reopened, deciding to play mentor for a moment. "What is it you think we should do with this information, Vera? It doesn't quite pertain to the task at hand, but it seems significant."
Try though he might to lie to himself, he couldn't help but wonder what the Ionian would suggest, eager to gauge her, simply to know her own thoughts on the matter. She had proven to be a very refreshing change to the usual loneliness of the record stacks, as well as Ethan's daily grind, and her actions in Freljord spoke of a strong woman, despite how reserved she seemed to be around him in conversation. He caught the warm smile that snuck up on him too slow as his contemplation ground to a halt, noticing too late that he was getting off track internally.
