The flames subsided, Udyr shrugged his shoulders in response to her. "Now what?" The beast man cricked his neck and motioned to her to take a seat in front of him. "How did you expect to defeat us outside of the Fields? Why did you expect you could defeat us? Because we are human?"
Udyr rested his chin on his knuckles, staring at the half-dragon. "Explain. Why do you think you could defeat us, half-dragon, when not even your Prince, nor the Might of Demacia, could fathom of defeating us? You are all the same."
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.
Shyvana simply wondered over and sat down in front of Udyr, growling in pain a little. "..." She was silent as the beast man addressed her... her golden eyes searching over the dirt. "Humans continue to surprise me.." She simply said, shaking her head.

"Why should tehy?" Udyr pointed at her. "You are human, and you are a dragon. You are one, and the other, not quite both, but not neither." He pointed at himself. "We are Udyr. We may have the body of a human, but we are also that of the Tiger, of the Turtle, of the Bear, of the Phoenix, and even of the Monkey. We are still Udyr, and you challenged him, not a human."
The beast man growled, "So who are you, half-dragon? Are you a human? Are you a dragon? Are you both? Or are you Shyvana? Do you deserve to call yourself such a name? We just bested you. We could have killed you. You would have die the death of the weak, crushed under our fist. Tell us, why did you think you could defeat Udyr?"

Shyvana sat there for a moment, staring at the man before her. Narrowing her eyes slightly. "I thought myself stronger... simply because I am what I am... apparently that was not the case." Shyvana replied, her eyes seeming to look off to the side a little. Shyvana shook her head. "I see now that brute strength alone will not be enough to defeat some foes..." As much as she hated to admit it, it was true.

"And you are what?" Udyr grunted. "Is that what identifies you? A half dragon? Tch. Stupid."
The beast man shuffled off his destroyed clothing, then sat on the ground. He cricked one hand, than the other. "Strength comes in many forms. Your anger blinded you to several opportunities, and you tried to punch our arm in order to free yourself. That is stupid. You are a child, rolling around and throwing a tantrum, trying to show how strong you are, when you do not know what strength is."
Udyr pointed about the scorched landscape as he said,"Your anger is reflected in your fire: potent but uncontrolled. It has no singular target or focus. Would you be able to shift into your draconic form now? No. Your anger has subsided. If we provoke you now though, you will attempt to attack us, and we will skin you."
He pointed downwards at where he had previously stood. His footprints could be seen embedded in the blackened ground. He reached over and jabbed his finger into it. He lifted from it...glass. Though rough, it was a chunk of glass. "You are the raging rapids attempting to break a tidal wave. What then can you do?"

Shyvana narrowed her eyes at the beast man. She shook her head and looked at the landscape, then looked at the glass Udyr had pulled out. "I was never taught to focus my anger." She replied bluntly... she was also beginning to wonder if it was a hindrance more than it helped.

"That is why you will fail and die," Udyr replied. He crushed the glass in his grip and threw the shards onto the ground. "Why do you fight?"

"Lie," Udyr growled. "Do not lie. You would not have anger if that is why you fought. We ask again, why do you fight?"
The beast man cracked his knuckles and stared at the half-dragon, his face expressing his displeasure. "If you lie again, we will break your left femur and leave you to crawl back to the Institute.."

Shyvana's eyes slid to the forest floor... sighing heavily, she answered. "I fight because it is all I have, people look at me and see a monster, so I give them one... and they are right, I am nothing more than an instrument of destruction, a beast to lay waste to the lands of men, to rain fire down upon them, to rip their bones with my talons." Shyvana looked back to Udyr. "That, is why I fight."

Udyr nodded and stroked his beard. "And what is it you wish to be? What is it you wish to fight for?" His arms tensed, making the muscles bulge. He pointed at her, asking, "What is your desire?"

"To... become stronger..." Shyvana replied, looking at the ground once more... clenching her fists in mild anger. She had to become stronger... for herself.

"And you aim to achieve it by smashing your fists about." The beast man let out a grunt and then walked over to her. His hand shot out and he gripped her jaw. He made her look into his eyes, analyzing her stare.
"What makes you think you are a monster? The opinions of man?" Udyr snarled, "Let them burn. Let the worms wither. In your quest for acceptance, to change yourself to suit their needs, they will watch you bleed, they will watch you be harmed, and when it is convenient for them, they will let you die. They want a martyr, someone to cry for, because it will cost you your life to gain their acceptance, if you ever gain it. Let those creatures that dare call themselves men crawl, while you soar above their heads. You are who you choose to be. You can be Shyvana, or you can be one of those mewling insects."
Udyr released her face and started to walk away from her. "You are holding your own nature back. If you wish to know more about yourself, seek us when you have recovered." The beast man rolled his shoulders and grunted, "We are going to continue our hunt. You interrupted our meal time."

Shyvana growled a little as Udyr took her jaw, but she simply sat and listened to his words... he was right to a degree, but she needed to protect the people of Demacia, despite what pain it caused her... because that's what Jarvan would do. As Udyr let her go and walked away, Shyvana would stand up and do the same. She would come back to the beast man... but after her wounds were taken care of.
