Ron... An OC of mine. Simply seemed more convenient than using my real name at the time. It currently sticks to many other things though when I play games, I usually take my favorite thing and add another thing to it.
In league I was Penta Reserved, cus I liked getting pentakills.
In Steam I'm known as the Cutest Sandking, because Sandking is cute and is my favorite character of Dota.
In WoW I had a character called Zahav which literally means "Gold" in my language.
In many other games I take some kind of a word which fits my character (Say, an archer so "Arrow") and add "Meter" to it. Comes out as ArrowMeter.
In RP-oriented things I usually pick a name that fits with the lore.
Those that cause crime in Piltover, beware. I shall hunt you down and end you, one way or another. You can come with me to the station, or you can have a bullet between your eyes.

My real name is Rose, and when I was a freshman in high school, I was very into the "randomness" trend of that time. A junior who was flirting with me at the time called me "Rose of Chaos," fancying himself a romantic, and it stuck. Girlstillawake is another username of mine. ...I made the account at four in the morning. I was a creative eleven-year-old.
Sonder was chosen specifically for its meaning- it's the noun form of realizing that not only are you surrounded by other human beings, they all live as complex and interconnected lives as you do. You may appear in their lives only once, as "girl with coffee", "redhead, cute jacket", and the like. They know as many people as you do, and their stories are just as complex. You aren't the protagonist for this one, they are. Since Sonder is an OC, it's a very intentional choice, and some call me by it on Skype.
Alexis, the first name of my mute character, means "without words". A-, as a prefix, means "lack of" in Latin, and -lexis (as in "lexicon") means "words" in Latin as well.
Most people call me Rose- and this might not be viable in a nickname thread, but I've always passionately hated the nickname Rosie. It's not related to some traumatic incident or some childhood antagonist, it's simply... unpleasant when applied to me. Once or twice, I've been called "Data" or "Spock", as well as "Captain Jack Harkness" in more amusing contexts. Apparently he and I introduce ourselves similarly; who knew?
My godfather calls me "Bloodberry". It's a nickname, and he gave it to me for reasons I know not. Ah well.

I wouldn't say that I have actually gotten myself stuck to any name for very long, as a result of my constant discontent with the name that I have given myself or by other people. Therefore, to say that anything stuck would be incorrect. However, considering this topic also revolves around picking the names I will speak about that instead.
I usually pick my name/IGN or anything in particular after something I am fasciniated by in the time period, which made me throw numerous references in regards to them just to see if anyone would catch on. Which brings all the joy to my heart should it happen. Some were more blatant then others, imagine using Melodious Nocturne as your steam name for months and not getting a single comment about it. (Yes Kingdom Heart and Yes Demyx)
Well they can also revolve around people I roleplay, such as the IGN Corrupted Sniper which I've used for a while on League of Legend, while I was roleplaying Varus on the offical forums. Before I changed it to Crimson Macabre which was due to my somewhat refound interest of Vladimir at the time, which is still used to this day.
But maybe one day I'll find a user name which I wil use for a very long time, or something people resort to calling me by, who knows, maybe one day...

My two gaming nicknames are two that have both been used for a very long time. Halokiller originated from my childhood, when I played Halo CE a lot. I was trying to think of something clever, but slightly sinister sounding. Eventually, I thought up the name because of my adoration of the game, and a lack of other inspirations. My other one, Murlaco, came about when I was creating my first Xbox account. My parents had gone to Blizzcon some months earlier, and I remember that my mom had a shirt advertising for "Murlaco's Fish Tacos". I thought it was something funny (if you understood the reference) and original, so II began using that in numerous accounts. Both of these were taken when I made my league account, so in frustration I entered a random combination of words and some numbers, m which resulted in Stormstrike 116. What? I never said I was good at making names.

Well the main name I use is Sunlead and that came from a loooooong time ago when I was making an account for Westwood to play Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun. This was when internet was hard to come by, so when I got the chance to play online on my uncle's computer it was a good day, and like 4 games? EITHER WAY
So when deciding the name if I remember correctly I was literally just looking around trying to find something to use for a name. Of note I was like 10 maybe 11? Anyway the closest thing was the instruction manual. So I got Sun from Tiberian Sun, and was going to add leader, because you know... Command & Conquer. It seemed creative enough at the time but it didn't fit, the name was too long. So I had to take off the "er" from "Sunleader" and make it "Sunlead."
For all intents after that fateful day of playing online for the first time that name should have never resurfaced. Buried forever and forgotten. But later on Red Alert 2 came out and I wanted to play online, by then internet was better so I was able to do this at home. Either way I went to make the account but the email I used was already taken, which was odd. So I recovered the username and password and bam. It had been created back then and I had COMPLETELY forgotten about it. So I decided to just use the name, and of course as I got into different things like Gamespy Arcade and later on Xfire. I kept using the name of course because coming up with usernames is a pain in the ass, and who the hell would ever use "Sunlead" as a name... OH WAIT SOME FAGGOT ON LEAGUE APPARENTLY SO I HAD TO ADD 190 TO IT. FUCK THAT GUY.
The only other name I used was m1a1 on Warcraft 3, not sure why. I just know that I got it because of the M1A1 Abrams tanks.

My summoner name, GreenEarthGuy, is fairly simple. If anyone's ever heard of the Turn Based Strategy game Advance Wars, Green Earth is a nation in that game. So I just tacked a Guy to the end of it, and here we are. Most people think it's because I'm Eco friendly. While I won't deny that, it's not the original origin of my name.
As for Gillam, it really just sounded like a good knight/Demacian name. As well as the last name too, Dunwall also fit, and I really am glad I chose to use that name
"No matter the era, I am Demacian, through and through."
