(( Okay, so, after discussing some things with Zed, they have decided they do not wish to participate in this RP any further. That being the case they have opted for me to write a basic summary of events as they would have happened to remove their responsibilities pertaining to this thread. I am sorry if this inconveniences anyone or lessens the enjoyment of these events in any way. Specifics will be discussed with Akali's temp RPer tomorrow, and a summary will be written at that time. If possible, I will try to move things to a point where character development can still happen to some degree for Riven, Akali, and Kahn, without requiring Zed's RPer to partake of activities within the thread. For now, it is late and I am very tired. Expect a summary within the next few days. ))

Riven's words finally upset the Master of Shadows enough to cause him to strike at her with his blade. The Exile's shielding Valor is strong enough to hold off much of the would-be-lethal blow, but the ninja's shadow clone manages to deliver a wound to her back, damaging her ribs and puncturing a lung.
Just as things look bleak, explosions rock the compound, and a thick cloud of smoke from a Twilight Shroud hides Riven from view of Zed as Akali, the Fist of Shadow, arrives to assist the Kinkou ally. Riven, seeing the chance, unleashes her Ki Burst, stunning Zed, as she races through the smoke to her gear, recovering it and immediately making her way toward the gates of the temple.
Akali shares a brief discussion with Zed, where the Shadow Master attempts to appeal to the so called "Fist of Shadow" and asks her why she continues to side with the Kinkou. Akali, however, will not give the ninja the answer he desires, and soon, he is forced to order his men to deal with the collapsing temple grounds.
Meanwhile, Kahn Hisan continues to lead Zed's men on a wild goose chase through the temple, allowing Akali and Riven to get into the courtyard in relative safety, until a guard posted on the walls spots them, and sounds the alarm.
Akali and Riven are forced to fight their way out of the burning temple as ninja that are not occupied with damage control turn to attempting to kill the intruders. Luckily for the Order, most wounds are not immediately fatal, and treatment will see a recovery for most men battled by the two champions. A few, though, are not so fortunate.
Finally, after several battles, Akali and Riven make their way out of the temple grounds, and into the forest surrounding the compound. While they are not out of the woods just yet, literally and figuratively, Zed's Shadow Warriors turn their efforts toward recouping from their losses, allowing the Exile and the Fist of Shadow to speak to one another as they continue their retreat.
But what of Kahn? Did he escape as well in the fire and chaos? What do the two champions talk about? Find out in the next episode of "Stoking the Coals!"
