The interior of the zeppelin was bathed in near darkness, the only light coming from the moon and stars shining through the windows around them.
Cassiopeia felt shivers of anticipation rush up her spine as Singed brushed his hand against her cheek. Obviously the chemist knew she had her suspicions about what it was he was really after, and they had very little to do with romance. There was no change in her expression as she mused over it but then suddenly his lips were against hers, hot breath warming her skin.
There was no denying the raw strength of his arms as he took charge and pulled her serpentine form around at the hip, making sure she could feel his body; all of his body. Any questions that still lingered in her mind about his motives seemed to melt away at his unspoken confession.
Cassiopeia was well aware that she was supposed to be quite the experienced snake; after all, the rumors were mostly her doing in the first place. Truth told, the real key to her talents lay in being an expert at eluding such situations, at knowing how to make the implied promise so enticing that they couldn't possibly refuse. To actually have her desires laid bare was a dangerous thing; it could spell an early end to everything she had been working for. Cassiopeia took such risks for one reason and one reason only, because she wanted to.
In this case, she did.
Sharp claws danced up his biceps as he kissed her a second time. Singed was strong yes, powerful and influential but it was not any of those things that made her want him; it was that mind of his. Brilliant, impossibly devious and endlessly complex; he was the one of the few puzzles she hadn't been able to figure out. To her surprise she discovered that she no longer wanted to. Why would she when it was so very entertaining to play with the pieces?
When they parted she couldn't help but taunt him a little bit. "Do you always get what you wish for?" His nod was all that she needed. Cassiopeia let the captivating smirk she held back for so long show through and then she issued the Chemist a challenge.

“Prove it.”
