Jadefellow hums quietly, scratching his chin lightly in thought. This new occurrence may be a bad sign, but he has no clue what to make of it. That troubles him greatly. And yet there were still some things he felt that the mechanic may know.
"And who told Teemo about the purpose of the lens? Perhaps this person will know more about what the purple hue means. If not, then we will have to bring this issue to the Institute. Another impending Void threat could be drastic for the entirety of Runeterra, and the Institute of War is possibly the best communication and knowledge center we know of."

"Well..."
Rumble wrinkled his nose and frowned. Ezreal was the person who told Teemo the lens' function, but the mechanic wasn't very fond of Piltover and Piltoverians. Despite this, he knew that he had little knowledge of Icathia, and that sending the lens back to Ezreal or the Institute of War would probably be the best course of action.
"Teemo took the lens to Ezreal, and Ezreal told him its function. He's the weird-looking explorer guy, right?" Rumble shrugged and let out a loose sigh. "Whatever. You know more about what goes on outside of this city, so I leave it to you to decide where to send the lens."

The mayor nods thoughtfully, neatening his stack of papers and turning over to a nearby drawer to sift through its contents. "Very well. Seeing as this is a matter of great importance, and we're pressed for time, I'm giving the duty of delivering the lens to the Institute to you. You seem to have adequate experience with it, more so than any other of our troops aside from Teemo, and you are right here. Take this form down to the Mothership headquarters and request a small travel team. Traveling with an artifact like this could be dangerous, so you must be prepared for anything."
He pulls out a blue slip of paper and hands it over to the mechanic with a warm, almost carefree smile. "The fate of Runeterra could very well be resting in your hands at this moment!"

The mechanic wrinkled his nose and looked at the lens uncomfortably. The mayor certainly settled on the decision rather quickly. "Right... The Institute of War. That's really freaking far away, isn't it?" he said. Rumble frowned and glanced side to side, not exactly favoring the idea of traveling away from his machines and away from the city he was born in.
"I'm gonna miss this city, y'know. Who's gonna build the machines and the defenses while I'm gone? " the yordle asked as he took the blue slip from the mayor's hand.

Jadefellow narrows his eyes at the mechanic, and not in a good way. Rumble's words don't seem to please him, yet he maintains a calm tone in his voice. "Every bird has to leave the nest at some point. And to my understanding you already made the trip up to the Institute a few times. As for building machines, there are plenty of capable mechanics in the city that can fill in for you while you're gone. I assure you we will be just fine in your absence."

Rumble sighs in defeat, knowing that the Mayor would probably force him to travel to the Institute regardless of whether he wanted to or not. "Fine, fine, I'll go. The fate of Runeterra could be restin' on my palms, eh? Well, maybe that's true, but- Wait a minute..."
The mechanic glanced down with a bit of worry in his eyes. "My cat's gonna be left all alone in the workshop! Who's gonna babysit him? Hmm..." His voice lowered a bit as he began to mumble to himself. "I suppose I could ask Teemo to take care of Scraps, but he'll probably be busy... Damn..."

Dennison gives a firm nod, turning his chair to focus his attention back on writing. Apparently in his mind the deal is done, and there are more pressing matters to attend to. "It's not my place to send out government officials to care for someone's pets. I'm sure you'll have a friend - or fan - willing to care for the cat."

"Fan. Yeah, right," Rumble muttered. His mind temporarily flicked over to Jaslene for a moment, but he figured that Teemo would be the most trustworthy one to catsit his pet. "Well, have a nice day, sir," the mechanic waved, and he left the office and headed towards the Mothership.
Rumble approached the rocket structure and knocked on the door, hoping that Teemo would be in his office and not somewhere office. "'Ey, Tee, ya in there? I gotta ask ya for a favor!"

A stout, grey yordle opens the door to the Mothership, dressed in a long and unusually dirty lab coat and goggles. At first he appears disgruntled and hurried, but upon looking down at Rumble the scientist freezes in shock. He has to blink several times before moving any part of his body, first adjusting his goggles and then leaning closer down to the other yordle.
"Do my eyes deceive me? Rumble?! By the Mothership, how in Runeterra did you get through the gate and passed the guards? Well, nevermind that. They probably allowed you to pass without a word for being a champion. PAH. Like that means anything these days. Though I suppose Cecil is a prime example of quality work... No matter. More importantly, WHY have you come down here? Finally decided to aid us in the reconstruction of this glorious machine? No, no, that couldn't be it. They say you're just a hermit, there's no way you'd actually work with a team of other scientists. So why is it that you've come our way?"

Rumble recoiled, slightly offended by the scientist's accusation. He contemplated about firing an insult back at the grey yordle, but time was running short and the mechanic had more important things to do.
"Wait, there's supposed to be guards?" Rumble looked back, then at the scientist again, then shrugged. "Anyways, no matter! Have you seen Captain Teemo anywhere, because I need him for something really really important! And I'm not a hermit, either!"

The scientist waggles a finger in Rumble's face, pointing back to the large stone walls that surround the Mothership and nearby area, specifically to the large, wooden gate that serves as one of the only two entrances to the zone. For some reason it seems the gates were left open and guards sent away.
"Yes, guards! We can't just have any old nitwit romping around a fragile structure such as this! It is far from structurally sound, and I'm telling you that the little incident with Veigar did NOT help with that! And why in Valoran would you be looking for the captain here?! Don't tell me you're just another moronic nincompoop that thinks the 'Scouts of the Mothership' actually operate from the Mothership. Yes, I heard that the captain came through not too long ago, heading back to his headquarters. It's the large, short building over there with g- oh, it appears they've all gone inside. Well, nevermind that, just know that those scouts keep to themselves over this and do a fine job keeping troublemakers out of the site."
He extends a finger to the building, a good distance away but still within the limits of the walls. As the older yordle had stated, all of the guards seem to be missing...
Inside, Captain Teemo has already confronted the Marshall and together they called in all available units. The captain's news of the Eye of Icathia is important enough to inform the other's about the possibility of Void beings in the area, and as such all scouts are being warned to keep their eyes peeled.
