Jaslene looks at Ron with a wide smile of her face, starting to chuckle.
You're so cute when you get all flustered Ron.
She yawns, re-adjusting the bags she's carrying a bit before continuing.
Test subject? What're you talkin' about Ron?
She glances over her shoulder, trying to see if she could see anything in Ron's expression, but the fluster from her earlier remark was still obvious on his face as she turns back forward and continues onward.
Ron's face immediately flushed with red again after Jaslene's reactions. He even made a mental note to slap himself when they reach Piltover. 'Perhaps the worse pickup line ever', Ron thought.
"I-I didn't really mean a t-test subject y-you know..." He tried to explain, looking at his feet now and wondering what to do. "I a-actually meant i-if you happen to come b-by and h-help me studying..." Ron said, extremely nervous. He readjusted his coat and he felt like burning from heat.
Depends on what kind of stuff you'll be studyin', I don't know much about math and such after all.
Jaslene looks forward towards the city, whistling to herself for a moment before turning back to Ron, smiling still.
But if it's something I can figure out, it would be fun to hang out. It's not like we'll be seeing each other much, you being all the way in Piltover while I'll be back at the shop in Bandle.
Ron sighed. He was apparently saved. The flush of red on his face slowly started to fade. But the thought that he won't see his friends and family for a long while now slowly crept into his mind. He didn't want to stay alone in the big, Piltover. He wanted to be back in his home of Bandle City. But still, to do all he wanted to do, he would have to stay in Piltover. If nothing else, maybe he'll have a better chance later.
"Y'know... I'll really miss you- And all our other friends and the family of course." Ron blurted without thought. Again red slowly flushed to his cheeks. What was wrong with him today, he thought. "B-but we'll meet again! L-like... You'll come v-visiting right? A-and I'm sure I can find s-something you can help me w-with."
I'm sure all your usual customers at the bar will miss your special drinks after a long day as well. Myself included. Working with dad's nice and all, but his memory is so bad, you sometimes need a drink.
Jaslene laughs, looking towards their destination again. They were getting quite close by now, wouldn't take long anymore.
So, what're you planning to be studying Ron? Chemistry or something?
Ron's ears perked back up when Jaslene asked him about what he plans to study. While his original wish was to study just Alchemy, he also had to completely study chemistry and magic theory and while at it, he also decided to study medicine. That was a pretty big list. In any case, just the thought of his studies immediately replaced any other thought Ron may had. Well... My main studies are Alchemy but to study that I'd have to... Well... Study both Chemistry and Magical Theory completely. I've also wanted to study medicine a lot so... That too..." He said. He noticed that they were really close to Piltover now. A sigh of relief was follow by slight haste in the walking pace.
Well, have fun with that then. I've never been a real "school" type of girl. Always knee-deep in dust and broken pieces of machinery. That what I get for growing up with a mechanic I guess.
Jaslene glances back towards Ron to see how he was doing.
How're you doing back there? You think you'll make it, or do you want to take a break?
Ron managed to catch up to Jaslene at last. "N-no I'm fine... We're almost there too, just a bit more. Don't worry, there's a hotel room waiting for us with actual beds and showers." He said, going on. He wasn't about to take a break just outside of the city. All they have to do is to rise the elevator to the city itself and then they just need to take a Hexcab to uptown.
As you say Ron. Let me know if you're feeling faint though, I'd rather not carry your ass the rest of the way. Got enough stuff to carry as it is.
Jaslene keeps on walking at the same pace, laughing a bit to herself. It was more about the uncomfortable shape of the stuff she was carrying rather than the weight, but the joke was good to her anyway.
Maybe I should focus on making a 'bot back in Bandle that carries tired or lazy people around. Might be popular.
