Few places in Valoran are busier than the Bilgewater Harbors at midday. The cacophony of ringing bells signals the arrival and departure of various cargoships. Dockworkers busy themselves loading and unloading these grand vessels. The air is thick with the cries of seagulls, and with the nautical tunes of a motley dockband.
Drunkards dance on the boardwalk. A fishmonger hangs the morning's catch over his vendor stall. A fist fight breaks out between two rival captains. There's plenty to do in Bilgewater, landlubbers! Plenty of trouble to be had!
Hot, stinging sunlight and the smell of the sea greeted the immense figure lying on her back in some small wooden container. Sheva Visari awoke with a headache, and a realization that she was out of her armor. It took no more than a minute for her to realize the immense, life altering event that had come over her.
“You are awake, Captain.” It was a raspy, female voice, greying hair and a scar upon the face. Sheva peered up at an older woman, but incredibly fit, in a tank top and military pants. On her arm was a tattoo of an Iron Mask. All within this wooden cage had it. Dietrich Roth, Veteran Sergeant, and mentor and surrogate mother figure to Sheva.
“We... I... we survived...” Sheva said, murmuring, as another woman came over to give her a wooden cup of water. Sheva sat up and drank deeply her throat incredibly parched.
“Indeed we did, captain. Better to live to fight again, I would say.” A younger woman took the cup back, drinking the remaining water. She was young girl, just entered adulthood, a much leaner body but still quite tall. Kharlene, a blonde half-zaunite, the newest addition to the unit, nodded at Sheva. She too, was out of her suit of armor, and missing her signature firearm.
“I... honestly thought we were going to die fighting.” Sheva wiped the exhaustion from her eyes, looking down to see her body covered in bandages. She looked around, and saw the third soldier, the one with dark raven hair and the perpetual silence surrounding her. Erika Jurgen, the... specialist of the group. The expressionless Erika turned and nodded to Sheva, then began making gestures with her hand.
“Escaped with pirates. Cut a deal. You must survive. Captain.” Sheva took a few moments to decipher the mute swordswoman’s gestures, and looked up, with an understanding that came from long experience.
“...The deal did not go well?” Sheva asked. They were in a hold, on a large boat, as prisoners. Above, footsteps and haggling indicated that indeed, they were now to be sold off as slaves in Bilgewater. It was such an Ironic fate, for a group of hardened Noxian warriors.
“It was, until they decided they wanted to... inspect the goods.” the dry witted retort came from the Veteran sergeant, who grinned as she said so. No mere pirate would dare to lay a bare hand on any of them.
“Our gear?” Sheva asked briefly, noting their lack of arms or armament. She studied their confinement, and though indeed they could break out, they were unarmed- foolish to face pirates with their flintlocks and cannons.
“Being auctioned separately. I say we join the bidding for it.” Kharlene said, picking up on her mentor’s sense of humor. Kharlene sat beside their captain. Sheva was never truly strict, and now that they were very likely listed as Killed in Action, rank was now irrelevant.
"You have. plan of escape. Captain?" Erika asked with her gestures, Sheva taking a moment to make a response.
"No... not yet." Sheva simply sat there and waited. Their fate was out of their hands for now.
“Step right up! Step right up one and all! Fine stock and fresh meat for you today! A limited offer, only today! Four! I say four mighty warriors from Noxus! And not just any warriors, but warrior women, from the esteemed Iron Maidens! Come now and make your best offer! Great discounts for buying the whole set!” The auction crier repeated his message upon the deck of his ship at the docks of Bilgewater.
Árnyék was pissed, after nearly being mugged twice, kicking thier asses of course, and getting kicked out of a pub, for beating up a guy who was known to cheat in cards, not Twisted Fate, no, not even Árnyék would screw with him, some pirates were outside another pup trying to sell some female slaves. This I will not stand for. Locating a weak spot on the platform, he kicked out a leg of the platform, causing it to tip, then he fell backwards into the Shadow Realm. He could see signs of pandemonium breaking out, and tried to figure out what to do.
The lead guard carried something on his waist, a key of some sorts. He grabbed it, fell out of the shadow realm and walked up too the cage. He opened it and bowed, "Much obliged m'ladies, but you must get going, thier are some choice hiding spots I have throughout town if you must. I trust that you all are not exactly the kind of folk who are pampered a lot, judging by your predicament."
Sheva and her three companions were all on their feet and alert when a commotion rang out above, the auctioneer’s platform suddenly giving way... which arguably, did not cause panic. The deckhands and dozen or so armed pirates simply laughed as the auctioneer fell on his bottom, wig fallen off.
The gaoler, also laughing, having had his keys taken in a very unsubtle manner, was unable to react to his keys taken. Instead, he began shouting. “To arms! To arms! Jailbreak in progress! Some landlubber is tryin’ to spring the pris’ners!” At which point a dozen pirates on deck drew their weapons and awaited at the entrance, while more of them were heading below deck.
Sheva looked at their rather unsubtle savior. While she remained cool, the youngest of the quartet looked at Arnyek with stern disapproval. “Are you mad or simply stupid? Have you never mounted a rescue before?”
The elder one though, simply grinned. “What’s the matter, Kendral? Don’t want to leave?”
Kharlene rolled her eyes, uncrossing her arms. “Not before we have a word with them, sergeant.”
Sheva simply looked at Arnyek. “Gratitude for the rescue, stranger. But is it too much to ask you buy us time? And I’ll be taking this as well.” Their leader, perhaps indicated simply by her titanic proportions, simply takes the key out of the shadow walker’s hand, and heads to the far cage where their equipment was stored.
The other cages held captured ‘indentured servants’, who were rescued on the high seas by the pirates. They all stood up and pleaded with Sheva to be freed, but she didn’t quite listen. She began sifting through keys to open the storage room, while two of her three companions- the elder and the quiet one- were fending off pirates with their bare hands.
The two younger girls resorted to old fashioned fisticuffs and pugilism, while the elder lady of war demonstrated more esoteric manners of twisting a weapon out of a man’s hand, then twisting that man’s arm into uncomfortable angles, before striking another foe with the pommel of the obtained weapon.
“Trying to strike a lady. Your mother must be proud of you.” Were the words uttered by Dietrich to the men she incapacitated, with a most cheeky grin... though the women were quick to take cover once the bullets were flying.

Tekun had been going from place to place, he finally had some down time from the constant strife that had enveloped him as of late. Now if only he could remember why he had ended up in Bildgewater.
As he expected he came across a brawl, there was always a fight in Bildgewater somewhere. However, this one was especially large and lethal. It looked like a slave auction had been interrupted by someone. Who ever did this certainly had a set, Tekun approved in silence and promptly drew the Zweihander he carried upon his back.
"...May as well." With little thought of repercussion, The Immortal Soldier joined the fray and immediately began forcing his way through the crowd to the source of the fighting.
Árnyék dreaded the decision he made that day. He saw a big bottle of rum on a nearby deck. A quick trip to the shadow realm enabled him nearby it, he grabbed a knife and popped the top, he threw the rum over the side of the ship, lit a match, and threw it straight into the rum. Screams broke out among the crowd.
"That a good distraction." Árnyék hiccuped, then realized that he was getting close to sober... 'Shit'
“Any time now, Captain!” the old lady-sergeant said, holding a pirate body up- the poor soul would’ve survived, if his fellows did not deign to shoot him in the back.
Sheva kept calm and inserted the next key. “It’s fine, we’re almost in and-” Alas, it was not the right key. The tall warrior finally lost her cool and simply kicked the door in, breaking the actually flimsy lock. She quickly went in and began handing the others their weapons. As it was the middle of battle, there was no time for the maidens to suit up- but Sheva’s suit was designed especially to be worn in the heat of a battle.
Dietrich grinned, her enchanted battleaxe now crackling with energy as it was returned to its rightful owner. She Emerged from cover and took the gunfire with her shield, the big target too irresistible not to shoot. A pirate even calls his fellows out on it. “Stop shooting the shield!”
A bullet whizzed into the man’s leg, and another into his fellow’s shoulder. Crouched in the corner, Kharlene now had her carbine repeater, and was returning fire, forcing the pirates to take cover. “Move around! Don’t let the one with the shield get close!” A couple of pirates moved around to take the other hallway, but were promptly met by the third maiden- the silent blade, Erika. Without a word she ran one pirate through, and punched out the other, having taken them completely by surprise.
Sheva’s armor was slowly powering up and closing around her. She would soon join the battle.
Meanwhile on deck, the pirates were thrown into chaos over a fire on the ship’s side. The unnamed captain shot his pistol in the air, making a few pirates near him calm down and get back in order. They quickly bought into place a grapeshot cannon at the entrance to the lower decks, loaded it with shot, and ready to trigger the cannon should any scalewag that dared to come up.

Chaos ensued and it seemed that the auction had quickly taken a turn for the worse for the slavers. From the looks of things, huh, wait a second. Tekun thought he recognized that armor... Seems this was going to be very worthwhile after all. With the well placed swing of a sword, Tekun over powered the incoming swing of a cutlass and plowed through into the man himself. He went down with ease.
Tekun forced his way through to the Iron Maidens, only killing three men who swung at him in the process.
"Now this is interesting!" Tekun turned his attention to another pirate who was swinging at him, this one was much larger than the last he exchanged blows with the pirate, locking blades before shoving the warrior away. "Sorry if it seems like I'm making light of this. I hope someone doesn't mind filling me in later on why the Iron Maidens were being sold on auction."
Further relief for the maidens arrived in the form of an extra sword arm who engaged the pirates. Despite wearing nothing but their pants and rags, they fought fiercely against greater numbers like it was a mundane matter. The pirates had scattered as Tekun made his way down below, but only started reforming again since he ignored the grapeshot cannon.
“Well, well wasn’t expecting help, but it is welcome... Tekun Valos isn’t it?” Dietrich said, having seen the man a few times before when she was a raw recruit herself.
They remained cool and confident, moving out of the doorway to the storage area. A colossal armoured figure appeared, seven foot tall and fully adorned in Noxian Menace, wielding a massive sledgehammer that crackled with hextech energy. Kharlene whistled. “Well, this is quite the relief. Permission to get dressed, captain?”
Sheva simply nodded, as the women went inside to equip their armor. Though, the battle was going to be over now. The Noxian Juggernaut with zaunite enhancement looked at Tekun. “Your assistance is appreciated, stranger. Please liberate these other prisoners so they can help us take the ship, whilst I disable their main gun.” She handed Tekun the keys.
“Give up! We’ve got grapeshot here, and we’re not afraid to use it!” The pirates said, as Sheva’s terrifying grey appearance came into view below them. She paused a moment, and slowly ascended the stairs, heedless of the weapon.
“Stupid... Fire!” The cannon was fired, and unleashed a torrent of heavy lead shot; as the bullets punched through the ship around Sheva, the force of the impact caused Sheva to pause for a moment, but the projectiles barely dented her suit. Grapeshot was for eliminating large clumps of light infantry. Sheva was anything but light infantry.
They came face to face with the Juggernaut, and attacked with their swords and hammers, to no effect. Sheva simply swung her hammer horizontally, clearing the cannon out of her way, destroying it utterly and sending the debris flying. She shouldered her hammer, not even dignifying their attacks with a response, and walked up to the captain above deck. He shot at Sheva with his six flintlock pistols, not even able to punch through the lens of her helmet. He struck out with a cutlass, but Sheva didn’t have any time for that- she simply plucked the weapon from his hand and dented the blade.
“Parley?” He knelt down before her and surrendered.
“Find another ship. This one’s mine.” Sheva spoke, her voice masked by her armor’s speakers. The nameless Pirate Captain readily complied, tossing himself into the water. His crew followed suit... some of them, anyway.
Meanwhile, once the Iron Maidens were now in their armor, they rejoined their leader, while looking for the other stranger who helped them.
Árnyék smiled has he watched the fight break out, and then an eyebrow raised when the grapeshot hit her directly, with little to no effect... Árnyék had no choice but to get out of here. The Grey Maiden's meant business, and Árnyék was meant for anything but business. Árnyék sighed, 'no human relations.' The Koyu inside of him said. 'Shut up Koya' Árnyék thought back. He went to the shadow realm and walked to Sheva's newly 'liberated' quarters and left a note, 'The Pub outside your ship is where I am. Its called the Glass Unicorn, Signed by: the Unyielding Shadow.'
Árnyék snuck into the treasure room and grabbed a small bag of jewels, 'Just a small profit.' Then he walked up the stairs and he heard a creak. Erika stood thier staring at him, with no sense of recognition. Árnyék cursed, "Damn girl, just let me leave." Erika stared at him, her eyes seemingly staring into his soul. Árnyék stepped back, surprised. Then he made a quick shadow dash under her. Erika stood looking at the same place he had just left. Árnyék continued up the stairs and walked to the pub. Hoping that they would not attack nor strike as he made his escape. At the top of the deck he looked at the water, and jumped.
He swam out and walked past all the chaos and walked into the pub.

"Correct, but let's save introductions for later. Let's route the enemy first." Tekun spoke as he focused on the the pirates that were about yet, the tide had turned easily. And not long after speaking he saw quite the side. A monstrous suit of armor obliterating a grape shot cannon. He assumed that was their leader, based off what it sounded like.
"So. Whose the Juggernaut over there? Is it right to assume she's your groups leader?" All the Iron Maiden's were women, thus the title. It didn't matter how it looked or sounded.
"Seems like we're done here..." Tekun looked about for other hostiles, just in case. It looked like there had been a surrender but at the very least. He quickly rejoined the rest on board the ship.
"I'm Tekun Valos. So, how the hell did this all come about?"
Dietrich, the veteran sergeant, kept pace with Tekun as they approached Sheva. She stops them from getting too close though, as the grey-haired senior soldier woman explained to Tekun the situation they’ve been through.
“Once again, you have our thanks, Valos. But, we would prefer to find a place to stay before we share our tale. To sum up, we had been left for dead by our homeland, and to survive we allowed ourselves the indignity of capture. We have a long story to tell, but our captain... has a great weight on her shoulders. She needs time to deal with it.”
Kharlene emerged from the hold, having helped to liberate the slaves after the battle. She did not wish to hold them long, as they’d shared the same ordeal. She did eye a pretty boy though, and wanted to keep him as a slave... Dietrich shot her a quiet look and made a few gestures towards their captain. Kharlene nodded, and stayed on deck near Sheva.
“Well, Tekun. Do you know of any place in this pirate cesspool?”
Erika cleaned out the lower decks of bodies, when her arcane senses spied Arnyek’s note. She took it, read it, and pocketed it; feeling slightly disappointed their help left so casually. She would make no mention of it to her fellows, though.
On the ship's helm, Sheva stood quietly, looking out to sea. She couldn't recall where the island was without a map... the blood of the dead stained her hands, and her soul, clouding her decisiveness. She barely acknowledged Kharlene's presence.

“…I understand. Unfortunately, I don’t have a place in Bildgewater. You caught me as I was passing through and on my way out. I welcome you and your company to join me in Zaun as I was intending on traveling there. If you’ve been gone long I can fill you in on the gaps of what has happened with Noxus and the world. Dark days are ahead…there’s a lot to be done.” Tekun commented as he looked upon their captain.
“I’m sorry you were left for dead. You’re a fine company…it’s their loss. And it disgust me greatly.”
"Pirates...yuck!" came the words in Titus' mind. He had arrived in Bilgewater to seek anything good that might interest him. He looks out to sea and finds the port usually busy that day. Pirate ships come and go as well as the drunk with little to no mind, the sober and sometimes human and yordle prostitutes that appear and disappear in the anarchistic place that is Bilgewater.
He's wearing a robe that covers his entire body and the shadow in the robe darkens his face so that no one sees. If anyone finds out that he's an admiral from Bandle City, he's in a heap of trouble. His naval fleets can't help him and the little tension between Bandle City and Bilgewater has risen a bit. It's not safe for a military officer to be in a lawless place.
He wanders around the dock, to find anything or anyone interesting.
