Zed took his seat and listened carefully to Swain before speaking himself. "Yes, I wish you to release her into my custody so that she may become part of my order, as flawed as she is she has natural talent." Stated Zed. "I know she's been trained in the way of secrecy and assassination but I know I can improve upon her technique."
Zed brought a hand up and slowing ran it along his mask, thinking. "Grand General, I think I may have a proposition that will very much intrigue you. As much as I would like to take this girl without a hassle it appears I cannot."
Zed flicked an arm-blade open, but then sheathed it, he repeated this two more times. "Oh pardon me, bad habit, tends to happen when I'm thinking." He apologized. "Grand General, the strong survive, so I propose we make both of our groups stronger." Zed paused for effect. "Together."
Zed's blood red eyes did not waver, the sight of the two men, with eyes that seemed almost ablaze would be quite unnerving.

Secrecy. Assassination. Crimson eyes narrowed to slits, the mind behind them rapidly sorting through the potential boons and liabilities of the inferred affiliation. "Go on," he growled, lifting his chin to inspect the second intruder. Zed sat upon his stool, partially enshrouded by shadows. His glowing red eyes mirrored the general's, both in hue and purposeful intent.
At her master's shoulder, the hellish familiar spread her wings to their full span--broader than the general's withered breadth--and let out a caw of her own intrigue. "I give you the girl and you give me..." he trailed off, inclined his head, raised his brows expectantly.

Zed put his hands together in a slight clap, pulling back some of his fingers to point at Swain. "The orginal plan was that I would get the girl and you would receive a favor to be carried out by myself." Stated Zed. "However, I was thinking of a much bigger deal than just for the girl. You understand that at the moment I have toppled the Kinkou and they currently do not pose a great threat to my organization. This is good, we are steadily beginning to control more and more of Ionia, and I'm not going to lie to you Swain, after how far I've come, I think I'm willing to... "fully convert" the state." Zed's eyes were cold and calculating as he picked through the words to convince the Grand General.
"Unfortunately Ionians are harder to persuade then most, stubborn with their traditions and ancient rules. This means that I need more than a band of ninjas to proceed with my plans. I am offering you a way into Ionia and the service of my order." Zed leaned back a slight bit on the stool. "In return, I would receive the girl and my order is... supported by Noxus, I would have the same access to Noxian military strength as you would to my ninja's expertise." Zed awaited the generals answer, the man would make a formidable ally, both Noxus and the Order of Shadows would profit from this arrangement.

A sinister smile raised the general's sunken cheeks. He lifted his chin, his visitor's unprecedented insight seeming to suit him. Rare was the man who spoke as directly and deliberately as he. Pacing a few steps forward, he brought his withered hand to his shroud in contemplation. He spoke after a few silent moments, his voice barely more than a whispered rumble in the dark: "I am interested."
Then came the gruff command to the mage-assassins. "Insulate her." He indicated the shackled form of Skylark. Immediately, practiced hands set to work. The four moved and chanted in unison, forming a dome of purple light around their prisoner. When it connected with the wall and floor, Sky would feel the heaviness of magical silence settle upon her. No sound escaped the luminous bubble--and no outside sound penetrated it.
Swain cast a piercing gaze at the girl, now enshrouded by purple light, then looked back to her would-be master. "Allow me to correct a few of your terms, however." He paced unevenly as he spoke--step, step, cane--the click of his walking stick upon stone echoing through the cellar. His wilted features grim with purpose. "Your organization grows in power, which means that it will begin to garner increased attention and, inevitably, opposition. Noxus will back you because we are fiercely committed to the protection our allies, not because we officially support The Order's continued expansion. Such 'plans' as you have will need to be executed particularly delicately, and not without my authorization." He punctuated certain meticulously chosen words, implying the unsaid.
Blazing eyes flared again like beacons in the dark, the machinations behind them intensifying their incandescence. "Listen to me closely. Should you accept my conditions, in precisely four weeks' time, your base of operations will come under attack by an opposing sect. You'll be certain no one of particular value to you helms the defenses on that night. There will be casualties. But, when the smoke has cleared, Noxus will officially offer her aid to your province. A military base will be erected. Peaceful occupation will follow. And as an official ally, you will have clearance to call upon my country's aid."
The general cleared his throat with a bronchial cough. His cane-hand trembled slightly as he shifted his weight, but he finished with authority, "If you prove to be a dependable ally, I will set you up over Ionia. But all this must progress precisely according to plan. One misstep could compromise us; one indiscretion could alert Ionia to your grander intentions."
He set his jaw with a grim, "Do you understand?" eyes locked upon the ninja.

A toothy grin ran across Zed's face underneath his mask, he now had a very strong ally at his side. He didn't give the insulation a second look, realizing what it's purpose was. He listened to the general's speech carefully, picking up on the emphasis of certain words, he nodded thoughtfully as the man spoke.
Zed let out a sigh at the mention of the attack, it took a long time and great dedication to train a shadow ninja. His organization was growing but he still needed almost all his ninja's accounted for. Zed figured he would search for a few new recruits and have them stationed that day, lives that haven't consumed the time of his elite students, who now aided in teaching the arts of shadow.
"Swain, I have yet to see my ninja's fail me on a important manner, and I know they will not fail you either. They are highly trained, we need not fear of being compromised by them." Zed spoke while standing, his voice showed confidence in his order and himself.
His eyes locked in on Swain's the red glow intensifying as he spoke. "I understand very well Grand General, as much as you have put your trust in me, I put mine in you." With those words Zed reached to his right arm and undid some straps and removed the arm brace portion with the blade attached. He extended his now unburdened arm, his hand open. "I look forward to our... association Grand General."

Shrewd eyes surveyed the offered hand for a moment of silence before Swain took it in his own: a brief grasp, as firm as their newly forged political bond. "I expect no less than your best. And you'll receive mine." He broke the clasp of their hands and motioned towards Sky. "And as for the girl." With a precise somatic motion, he drew back the enclosure of light, its purple energies retracting into his fingertips in an instant.
Noise returned to Sky's pointed ears, accompanied by an overwhelming feeling of vertigo. Dizziness would briefly overcome her before the Grand General's foreboding growl rang out in the cellar. "I grant you your pupil as a token of our alliance--on these conditions: if her loyalty wanes, if she attempts to flee, you will kill her. If she fails in her training, you will kill her. And if you do not kill her, Shadowmaster," Red eyes flashed over the girl's shackled form, burning searchlights in the dark. "I will."
Swain's gaze lingered pointedly upon her slender face. He laid his hand over his robe pocket, a subtle reminder of its magical contents, of the power he now exercised over her. His attention snapped back to Zed. "If you've no more business with me tonight..." One of the mage-assassins drew out a key for the shackles, but did not unlock them, waiting for clearance to release Zed his prisoner.

Zed nodded as Swain shook his hand, from the mans grip he could tell the General doubted him, if only a little. As Swain drew back the sound barrier over Sky Zed turned to look at her, his arms crossed, his gaze intense.
"Hear him girl, for those are the rules that will be followed, should you disobey me or fail, your life is forfeit." Zed's spoke with authority and purpose. "I will have no mercy should you disappoint me or the grand general." He finished while replacing his arm blade, testing it quickly.
Finally he turned to face the wall, flicking his arms in quick moments, making well practiced motions. Runes appeared on the wall, burning a deep blood red, and as Zed finished a circle of them a dark void opened in the middle. "Your first test is now young one." He declared while turning to face her, he nodded for the mage to release her.
"Stand, your first test is that of successfully passing through this portal... unharmed." The portal lead not very far in fact, just outside the manor's main entrance. "Do not show fear of the shadows or they will destroy you, and I will tell you now, I am much more merciful than they are." Zed commented, he would wait for Skylark to stand up, his intense gaze drilling into her.

Sky rested there, enshroud in silence by the light that kept her from not only reading what of their lips she might see, but hearing them even in the slightest. This meant she knew nothing, save for what she had learned before the barrier was placed around her.
As it fell, it was as if there was a pop within her inner eardrums, causing the world to spin and unevenly sway. Her head moved slightly as her fingers curled, trying to grip at the chains to still the uncomfortable motion. Thankfully she had a very strong stomach, and would not succumb to the nausea that mildly effected her.
Swain's words broke the stillness, causing violet eyes to lift hatefully upon him. Sky never hated people before she was originally captured. And each time she has been imprisoned, or trained, that darkness in her was slowly growing. She scowled towards the old bird, and glared with a murderous intent gleaming in those orbs. Unhindered by any sense of fear she may have had before.
As she went to speak, she was stopped by Zed's words next. The feeling of the shackles unlocked from her wrists and ankles exposing the deepened bruises from her fighting against them. She'd yank her limbs away as soon as they were freed, and turned that hateful gaze upon Zed instead. She would say nothing. The venom in those eyes spoke far more loudly then any words she might have said. Her fear suppressed by the rage, and the knowing Swain still held clear advantage over her should he discover her changed again.
She flicked her eye to the pocket the stone had been stored away, then turned to look at the portal Zed had opened with his blood-red runes. Her eyes locking upon it - knowing that most likely this would not be the worst she was going to face. She stepped forward, and would disappear into the darkness.

"Have a good night Grand General." With that Zed made a deep bow and looked into the portal, a slight laugh escaped him, amused at what his new apprentice was going through at this very moment. Shadow portals for him were almost instant at this point, leading him from one portal to another nearby in a moment. He knew the shadows paths and routes, Skylark did not, and now she would be in a world of horror. He himself now stepped in and was soon just outside of Swain's manor, Sky however, was not.
Sky's first test was at hand, and it was going to be a hard one, the void in front of her was almost pitch black, only an outline of a path was visible. If she were to step off the path she would fall into the darkness, lost forever. Seemingly from no source a red liquid dropped from above, landing in the center of the path. A growl would sound from above, two large glowing red eyes were glaring down at Sky.
Zed's voice rang through the air, it echoed through the vast darkness, "Stay to the path, or be lost forever, follow it, and you will find me waiting at the end. Please avoid death, it would be a shame to have to find your body in this realm." With that his voice disappeared, the growl however became more prominent, a creature not unlike that of Kha'zix fell to the path, red oozing from holes along it's body, giving a slight illumination, it glared at Skylark, yet it made no sound.
It was a good thing she had learned some things from Lee Sin, or she may have been in a lot more danger here then she was. As the liquid pooled across the path, it gave her some insight as to where the path was. Violet eyes took it in, and what of it she couldn't see she would extend her senses out to try to read. Her hand lifted upon the arrival of the beast as it stood in front of her, sliding it within a gap in the clasps that kept her coat closed.
As she stepped back, she'd throw the dragon origami towards the beast. It looked like normal paper, nothing special, until it would near the beast and be set off. An inferno of flames would explode to life, pushing the shadows back and aiming to consume the beast in the relentless fire that would engulf the area it stood.

The creature shrunk back as the light blazed in front of it, a slight hiss as it burned it's very flesh. All creatures in this realm were made of shadow essence, as such light caused them great pain. However the issue with using light in such a place was the path was also made of solid shadows, it would begin to fall apart as the fire light touched it. The creature quickly retreated further down the road, a gap now in the path.
The gap would reform if Sky stopped the light, but until then the path was crumbling slowly. The portal behind Sky now closed, locking her into the realm, her only exit was at the end of the road now and the path was long. The creature, seemed to climb into the air, it's eyes glowing red as it slinked away, clearly hurt by the intense light.
Shadow people follow him everywhere he goes. Looking over his shoulder, the paranoia flows.
The inferno would only go for as long as the creature was within its area.. And any fire that lingered upon its flesh would continue to burn for as long as it had something to keep consuming. Sky felt the path start to crumble, her eyes narrowing as she started to run drawing another origami free. This one, a tiger, which she'd throw in front of her on the long path allowing it to become an actual tiger.
Sky leapt onto its back, consciously guiding it along the path as she'd use her senses to determine its place. It wasn't easy by any means, and she'd often feel the tiger lose brief footing as it'd narrowly avoid going over the edge. The light that was present, would fade off quickly allowing for the path to presumably reform and stop crumbling away.

Off in the distance a slight burst of light would appear as another hole opened up, a woman was shoved through by a black gloved hand. The same ooze Sky had seen began dripping, only there was much more this time. The women looked around frantically, got to her feet and ran as fast as she could, her screams echoing in the dark. Sky would soon find herself at an intersection, the screams drew nearer and nearer until the woman herself collapsed at the crossroads.
She had managed to lose the ooze creatures, they no longer stalked her, however, growling was still in the area. A swarm of small black balls climbed up from underneath the pass, they formed a circle around her, too many to count. They opened there mouths at exactly the same time and pounced upon the woman, her screams of pain tore through the air, all most unnaturally loud, pieces of flesh were thrown apart as the swarm devoured her alive.
"Be careful my prospect, let her be an example of what could come of you." whispered Zed's voice, almost as if he were right next to her. The swarm of creatures now rested upon the corpse, nothing but bone now, they all turned to glare at Sky, their eyes a deep red like all the others. They opened there mouths in their eternal hunger and slowly began moving towards Sky, they seemed furry, but with no visible legs, just a ball with two eyes and a large mouth with lots of teeth.
Shadow people follow him everywhere he goes. Looking over his shoulder, the paranoia flows.
Sky thought about what she knew already. Light scattered them, and made the path crumble. What else did she have? She had to think fast as she gripped the tiger's fur gently while seated upon its massive back. The tiger slowly growled, the deep rumbling of its fierceness echoing through the darkness. Sky drew another origami out - a single sparrow which she'd throw towards the little creatures.
The sparrow would come to life, and scatter as multiple songbirds diving at the little creatures relentlessly. It should be enough of a distraction as the tiger leapt over the creatures the birds were assaulting, and raced towards where that brief beam of light had come from. There was nothing she could do for the woman. She knew that the moment she had appeared within the darkness of the shadow world.
Sky showed no fear. Her survival instincts were heightened, and her determination to make it out grew ever stronger the longer she remained. She concluded that there would be obstacles set in her way, and to run from them would likely mean never finding a way out.

The creatures became completely distracted by the birds, leaping up to try to bite them. Skylark would have no trouble passing them now, they were far too distracted by the potential food.
The creatures scattered throughout the realm watched her from a distance, they were smart enough to realize this was no simple catch. They sensed her lack of fear, her will to survive, it would make her harder to kill but so much more delicious for them. A particular pair of eyes seemed distinct from the rest, they watched with calculation and cunning, they seemed almost sentient.
This pair of eyes dropped down onto the path in front of Skylark, it's form was black like the rest yet it was not threatening. It was a very thin creature, humanoid, so thin that it looked as if it was made of bones. It's eyes did not waver, examining the intruder of it's realm. This creature did something unexpected, "Hello creature of light, I suppose the master sent you here, yes?" It spoke, unusual for it's kind to speak with someone who was not already initiated into Zed's order.
"Follow me." It said, not waiting for a response it turned and marched down the path.
