Rumble hops back onto his stool and grabs a rubber band to repeatedly stretch. "Speaking of Trist, how is she? I haven't had the time to fol- I mean, talk to her lately."
Rumble repeatedly stretches the rubber band faster now. He glances down and is really hoping that Teemo didn't catch his slip up.

"Oh, Trist? She's doing alright. I think she'll be pretty excited to hear that Poppy might be getting a break one of these days to come visit again. She always did like getting to hang out with the ambassador... uh, heh, must be a girl thing."
Teemo shrugs and picks up the gear Rumble had set down, pretending to be interested in it while giving Rumble a few quick, nervous glances.

If Rumble was observing Teemo, he would have noticed his nervous glances. Rumble has a very keen eye from working on machines his entire life. However, Rumble was relaxing in his break, so he didn't pay much attention to Teemo.
Rumble throws the rubber band back onto the table and looks at Teemo. "Poppy, huh? Now that's a busy yordle, heheh. She's got even more work than I do, which is quite a feat to pull, hahah."

"Yeah... she deserves a break. And I think it would be good for her if she got one. It's not often she gets to come by and see T- er, the town."
He places the gear back on the table a crosses his arms, shifting his feet slightly. It was still oblivious to him that he had yet to sit or even as for a seat.
"I just don't know how she does it. Her work seems so... boring. I should ask what her secret is next time she visits..."

"Heh, I'm busy too, but I keep on doing work 'cause I like it. Buildling machines is my thing, and I ain't ever gonna stop." Rumble pauses and glances around before continuing. "Poppy probably keeps on working 'cause she enjoys it like I do... Wait, all she does is fill out paperwork, doesn't she? Huh... Can't imagine someone who'd like doing that. Maybe I'll pay her a visit sometime."
Rumble is about to hop off the stool until he looks at Teemo and notices him shifting around nervously. Rumble eyes him curiously and speaks. "...You okay, man? Something on your mind?"

Teemo freezes and turns his head to look Rumble in the eye, a look of terror on his face for a brief moment before be laughs nervously and waves a hand in dismissal.
"What? Something on my mind? Why would something be on my mind? I've been too busy on solo missions to think about things outside of work and worry about things like... uh... having things to think about."

Rumble raises an eyebrow and looks at Teemo curiously. Normally, he'd pursue the issue further, but Teemo has been nice to him for the entire day, so Rumble decides to drop the issue... for now, at least.
"...Sure. Things to think about... Alright, I'll roll with that, heheh." Rumble lets loose a slight chuckle before glancing to his right. "What else is up with your life, bud?"

Teemo attempts to recollect himself, nervously scratching his head with one hand and scratching the back of his neck with the other.
"What else? Oh, um... well, nothing really. Like I said, there haven't been many dangers to look for lately. Things are getting a bit boring, since I don't really spend time with anyone in particular while I'm home. Which seems like more and more time each day..."

"Ha! You spending time alone? I thought you were one of those types that always socialized with the other!" Rumble chuckles a bit then continues. "Heh, you're becoming more like me by the day, bud!"
Rumble pauses for a moment before speaking again. "Well, if ya do find some danger soon, let me know. I'd hate to miss out on a fight!"

"Heh, me? Socialize? Sure I'll say hello when I can, but I'm usually too busy to. I have taken time off before to stop in at the Branded Rogue before... but most of the time I'm just there alone, being confronted by some 'adoring fans' trying to, uh... 'get with me'. Or sometimes trying to get me with Tristana. Sure, I think she's great and all but... uh... she's, er, not my type. And I always thought that you- ...uh, nevermind. What were we talking about again?"
Teemo scratches his cheek again, starting to turn a little rosy under his fur and hoping to change the subject.

Reaching the gates of Bandle City, Poppy takes a moment to look at the city from a distance. This was the first time in ages she was able to return to it.
"Just like I remembered it... "
She then walk through the gates and heads for the Town Hall, as the mayor had asked her to meet him as soon as she entered the city.

Rumble's expression dampens a bit as Teemo talks. His smile slowly bends into a frown and he starts to eye Teemo curiously.
"...I don't recall," Rumble lies. He knew something is up in Teemo's mind and Rumble's curiosity is starting to get the better of him. "All I just remember is you talking about your fans, then talking about Trist. You were gonna say something about me... weren't you, buddy."

Teemo visibly flinches at the accusation, knowing he wouldn't be able to talk his way out of this one.
"I was going to say that... I always thought you liked her more than me. Not that that makes you a bad guy or anything, I mean, I never thought you were a bad guy. But that's... well, old news. You said so yourself you don't like her like that, and... I should have believed you."

The mayor was waiting patiently outside of the Town Hall when he sees Poppy arrive. He waves to her and walks down the steps to greet her. "Poppy, my dear, it's nice to see you again! I do hope you enjoy yourself these next few days, because you've sure earned a well-deserved break! Come, come inside so we can discuss something real quick, I have something I'd like to ask you!" Before he gives the Ambassador the chance to speak, he takes her by the hand and leads her up the steps into the building.

Rumble immediately flinches and blushes a little under his fur. He draws back a little and glances down, hoping that Teemo wouldn't see his blush. Normally, Rumble would immediately retaliate back with insults and rants, but he wasn't looking for another argument with Teemo.
"H-heh heh, yeah! Those are old news! I l-like her as a friend, but not, well, LIKE like her! I kinda always thought you were the one going after her, too!"
Rumble does his best to compose himself and tries to look as calm as possible. He makes a reminder in his mind to practice a response whenever someone asks him about Tristana.
