"W-what?! I-it's b-because..."
Rumble pauses for a moment. He really hates admitting his crush on Tristana, so Rumble makes up a lie right on the spot. Rumble changes his expression and tries his best to put on his angry face.
"It's because people like you always asks me this question just because I named my machine Tristy and I keep hearing about it every day and it's getting really annoying and I'd just wish everyone would STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!"
By the time Rumble yells out the last word, he's gripping his moehawk and headfur with both of his hands. Rumble rarely ever yells on this magnitude. He's looking down and he's panting rather harshly. Morever, Rumble immediately feels terrible for yelling like that to Teemo, who has been nice to him for the entire day. Rumble continues gripping his hair and panting deeply, clearly in despair.
The mayor was waiting patiently outside of the Town Hall when he sees Poppy arrive. He waves to her and walks down the steps to greet her. "Poppy, my dear, it's nice to see you again! I do hope you enjoy yourself these next few days, because you've sure earned a well-deserved break! Come, come inside so we can discuss something real quick, I have something I'd like to ask you!" Before he gives the Ambassador the chance to speak, he takes her by the hand and leads her up the steps into the building.
Poppy pulls her hand away from the mayor, preferring to walk herself rather than be led somewhere.
"So, what is this about mayor? What did you need to talk about?"
Her expression was as serious and stern as usual. She looks around the Town Hall as they walk, as if checking if anything has changed since she last was here.

Teemo stares at Rumble, backing up in his chair while the mechanic ranted. The last scream was loud enough for the scout to wince and turn away. He doesn't realize it, but he'd actually started shivering a little. After a moment of silence Teemo calms himself and turns to the table, putting on his gloves and picking up his helmet.
"Okay, I know what you're getting at... I shouldn't have asked. Sorry... So I think I'll just... go, and let you get back to your work you love so much. Just forget I was here. I won't bother you anymore..."
He sighs, moving for the door and appearing very crestfallen.

"Why, I need to with you about your upcoming anniversary! We celebrate it every year, after all. Or, at least we try to. Last year's mistake is something we're going to try avoiding from happening again! So I must ask, is there anything in particular you'd like to do on that day? Come home, or go somewhere on vacation, or maybe throw a party in your name? I'll let you decide, because after all, it is your special day! Well, aside from your birthday that is."
The mayor stops them outside of an office door, where he opens it and offers Poppy to go first.

A party... great. Sometimes the cheerful spirit of her people was a bit much for the serious, work-oriented Poppy. She walks into the office and sits down in a chair and looks at the mayor.
"I've not exactly thought of such matters. And... I have never understood the need for this anniversary. To me, it only reminds me that another year has passed since those assassins took my father from me. I know it is a celebration of my position... it just doesn't exactly feel like such to me."
She sighs, shaking her head.
"I'd rather just stay here in Bandle City and visit my old home... light up the old forge of my father, Blomgrun, and keep his memory alive. Especially after that... certain incident that was in the Journal of Justice. I trust you know what I speak of. I have so rarely time to visit home, that just being here feels like a vacation in itself."

Rumble raises his head and looks at Teemo. His hair is an absolute mess and his hands are shaking. Rumble's expression isn't that of anger, but rather, it looks like despair. The bottom of his eyes are drooping, and he's panting rather heavily. With a tired voice, he says one word.
"...Wait."
Rumble isn't exactly sure why he said that. He isn't thinking clearly, but the word just kinda came out of his mouth like that. Rumble looks at Teemo for a little bit, then glances down and continues to pant heavily.

The word was enough to make Teemo stop, feeling as though every action of his body had decided to come to a halt at that moment. After a second of waiting the tension leaves his body and he turns, halfway facing Rumble so he can see the mechanic out of the corner of his eye, though most of the time his gaze is off downward. He doesn't say anything, expecting and yet not expecting anything more to be said.

Rumble slightly raises his hand and looks at Teemo with his tired eyes. The hand stays in the air for a little bit, but then it drops. Rumble lets out a sigh and glances away.
"N-never mind, I don't know what I was going to say, anyways. Just... I'll just get back to working on my machines, now."
He hops off the stool and walks over to a nearby table. Rumble pulls out a blueprint and starts examining it, but he does shoot Teemo one short glance before going back to work.

Teemo nods, walking to the door to the workshop. He stops in the doorway, not wanting to leave. For a while he stands there until he looks over his shoulder to Rumble. Again he stands there silently for a while, before he speaks again, softly.
"I had fun today. Hope that... maybe we can hang out again some time..."
And with that he waddles out into the junkyard, ears drooping.

The mayor smiles and seems to calm, nodding to Poppy knowingly.
"Yes, I do remember what that was all about... and I see, just like Bandle, you haven't changed much, Ambassador. For your next anniversary, I know just what we'll do. But it's a secret! One that you'll just have to wait and find out."
He chuckles a little to himself, patting Poppy's shoulder.

Rumble doesn't look back at Teemo. He waits until he hears the door shut, then he gets up and collects his tools. Rumble places his tools and materials on the table with the blueprint. He picks up a hammer and starts slamming it on some piece of scrap metal.
"...Who am I..."
In the past, Rumble really hated to admit his crush on Tristana. However, rumors have been circulating around the entire city, and the question of what Rumble named Tristy after have come up so many times that Rumble simply didn't want to deal with the hassle anymore. He continues to hammer down on the piece of metal as he talks to himself.
"I'm the yordle who spends his time in isolation, doing what he does best..."
Rumble grabs a bunsen burner and turns it on. Using a pair of tongs, he holds the piece of scrap metal over the burner.
"I'm the menace everyone knows, the terror on the Fields of Justice!"
Rumble grabs another piece of scrap metal. Like the last piece, he hammers the scrap metal into some sort of bent-up shape. He picks up the metal and looks at it.
"Or at least, the menace on the outside... But I've always hidden my true feelings, the feelings that have tortured me from the inside..."
Rumble grabs a bucket of red paint and paints all over the two metal pieces. He then grabs a handful of tiny screws and lays them over the table.
"It's true, I've got a crush on her, and everyone always keeps asking me about it! And the questions, the rumors, they've really gotten annoying!"
Rumble grabs some electrical circuits plus a variety of other electrical materials and tools. Electricity and sparks crackles from the table as Rumble puts the electrical materials and scrap metal together.
"I wish they'd just stop, but they're not going to, I know! I've hidden my true feelings of her for far too long, but maybe it's time I right this wrong!"
Rumble practically yells out the words as he works with his materials. When he's done, he places his almost-finished product onto the table. The scrappy metal and the electrical materials he combined forms a beautiful metallic rose... except it has no stem. He grabs a flimsy looking metal rod and paints it green. Rumble grabs more electrical materials and starts inserting them into the rod.
"Maybe it's time I confess to her, maybe I'll live a better life! I could end these rumors and end these questions!"
Rumble's voice grows louder and more confident with each word. He combines the metal rod and the scrappy-looking metal to form his finished product, a metallic rose. There was a small button on the metallic green stem of the rose. Rumble pushes the button, which causes the rose to shrink into a bud. He pushes the button again, which causes the rose to blossom slowly. He stares at the rose for a while, then sighs and puts it on the table.
"...Or I could just stay silent... And live life as it is right now..."

Teemo was on his way out when he heard Rumble speaking through the open window. Of course, his overly curious nature and new-found interest in the mechanic causes him to sneak around to one of the open windows and hear more. As he listens, his ears droop again, and some of the words make him wince, but he only had a small understanding of why he acted like this. The scout pokes his head up a little to watch the mechanic build, nearly being brought to tears. It wasn't until the end did his eyes become wet, though.
He sinks in his place, putting his back to the wall and pulling out a sheet of parchment and a pen. Quickly, he jots down a note and folds it into a paper airplane, tossing it through the window, and then packing up his things to silently return to the junkyard's entrance.
The note read:
You're a yordle. A great and proud one. So go ahead and tell her.

Rumble is staring at the rose when the paper airplane hits him in the ear.
"Ow!"
He winces and grabs the paper airplane and opens it up. Rumble sighs and reads the note. As he reads the note, his eyes gradually widen. Someone heard him? How?! He looks at the open window.... oh, of course. Rumble slaps his forehead and looks out the window. He can see the figure of Teemo walking towards the junkyard entrance. Rumble takes one more good look at the note, when he notices what the strikethrough says.
"Loving pal, eh..." Rumble chuckles and looks at Teemo again. "So that's why Teemo was so nervous..." He walks back to the table and picks up the metallic rose. Rumble stares at it for a while before sighing. Looks like I have another dilemma to deal with, he thinks.
Poppy nods at the mayor before standing up again.
"I suppose so. For now, I shall visit my old home... and perhaps clean up. I believe the old forge has not been lit up in ages and the whole room it is in is covered in dust... both regular and coal."
"If it will bring peace."
