Jon had just finished speaking when he noticed...a cat? He was surprised Vi would even keep one; even more surprising to him, was the fact that it was not just a normal cat, but one wearing... was it gold? And a lot of it too... Jon was practically amused at this point, looking at the cat with a hint of wonder, before turning to Vi again.
"Ah, Vi... pardon me to ask, but... do you keep a cat?"

The black feline paused and started to casually lick her paw as the two spoke about her. Her long tail swaying contently as if nothing were out of the ordinary.

Vi turned and gave the cat a weird look. "You know, I'm not a big fan of cats. They're too lazy and completely useless. Also, they never listen." She got up and took a closer look. "I must admit, a bit cute, though. If you don't mind, I'll let her listen in. Not likely to be a threat to national security, right?"
She got back into her chair and leaned backwards. "But yeah, sounds like you need my help with this case, for certain. Professional bank robbers? Totally up my alley. If you get any more leads, I'll rush on over. And if you have any more evidence, share it now."

Jon nodded at her comment regarding the cat, but it didn't satisfy his curiosity. He'd never seen a cat like this before... what, and why, was it doing here? He put the thought to the back of his mind when Vi addressed him.
"Right, I'll see if I can provide any more information about these robbers. Thanks for getting onto the case."
Another thought came past his mind. "Oh, I figure you might want to know of this... we've happened to develop an expedient way to repair facial tissue at a relatively fast pace, and many of our surgeons do need real situation practice..." Saying this, with a slight twinkle in his left eye.

Vi smiled back at him. "So I'll take that as a 'we definitely need your services,' then? Glad to hear it. Now, get a move on. We have to get moving quickly if we're going to catch these people."
She ushered him out of the room quickly, turning to face the cat. "You too, little thing. Get out. Go along." She held the door open for it.
The cat slowly dropped her paw and rose back to her feet before stretching her long body out. She'd first brush herself against Jon, curling her tail around his ankle as she imprinted herself on him lightly. No, not like a male cat. She was far more discreet. After all, these humans were like children to her. Scent glands would do just fine.
Next, she would move towards Vi, a light purr echoing from her throat as she'd curl her body around Vi's leg happily, seemingly content with whatever she had come upon. When the two started to move to the door, the feline followed with her tail swaying lightly at the tip. She'd look up at Vi after Jon left, and mewed lightly before padding her small frame out the office as she was gently ushered away by the Enforcer.

A hulking figure of a well dressed man strode into the sherifs office, his long black cane his lips were pursed as his peircing grey eyes surveyed the area. His hair was long, straight shoulder length and jet black was parted down the middle evenly. His face was somewhat pale, as though he rarely saw the light of day.
His dark trenchcoat hid anything he may have had underneath, he simply took a seat and waited. He made sure his posture was immaculate before he ran a hand through his hair, a small smile curled on his lips.
