Eli stood just behind Krutis, adjusting his gauntlets a bit. He looked up at the manor, not his kind of place. He had heard of what was going on, apparently Vergil had a weakness for the ladies. He found this all a bit pointless, he knew what the Blood Brides were famous for, and personally thought them to be too flashy. Besides, he disliked the use of slaves. People shouldn't be forced into fighting. "I don't see why you want t' hire one of these girls, you could probably hire several good men for the same amount as you'll have t' pay for one of these 'Brides.'"
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Titus stood fully armored, helmet donned a little off to the side behind Krutis. His stone expression remained even under his helmet, but inside he had a bad feeling about this place. His shield was strapped to his arm as per usual, he almost never took it off. Titus' eyes flicked across the area, assessing threats, finding cover and mentally preparing for if there was any sort of conflict. Titus was a cautious man, he'd rather get things done quick, clean and without any complications.
The door man welcomed the gathered mercenaries inside, guiding them to the Viewing Balcony. To the side was a tea set and several cups, and the servants poured them and the Noblewoman Sylvia some imported Ionian blue tea, a rare beverage that Noxus could no longer plunder Ionia for, as well as serving sweet chocolate and butter biscuits to accompany the beverage.
Meanwhile...
"Vermilion. Stand." Caerys snapped to attention at Decima's voice, the bandaged senior trainer of the Brides speaking in a calm tone. Any command from her could have been followed by the crack of the whip, and Caerys stood up and looked at the arrived company on the balcony- the several men and few women who comprised the Seven.
With adequate energy, she begins a light spar with her fellow Brides. She was unarmored, while her opponents wore studded leather, as well as metal shoulder and shin guards. She demonstrated technique and skill with a training spear, fighting off two enemies at once with the wooden weapon. At first the skilled Brides used their number advantage, flanking Caerys to catch her exposed- but the canny warrior was quick to find a corner to fend them off. When the flail user had her weapon caught on a nearby post Caerys stood in front of, She off balanced with the hook of her spear her first attacker, while striking a light blow to the exposed side of the flail wielder... she taps the head of the one with sword and shield before that one could regain her footing. It all happened very quickly.
Caerys bowed to her audience standing above. Sylvia leaned on the balcony and applauded. The demonstration was usually adequate for nobility, but these mercenaries... The matron spoke to them. "Well... will this be sufficient, or would you like to see more of her ability yourself?"

Sara looks over to Eli, huffing and shaking her head.
"Quantity means little if those men can't fight. Noxus thrives on strength, not numbers. 'Good men' can be good, yet no match for a highly-trained woman. Katarina Du Couteau is an example of that."
She seems wary of her surroundings, her hand sitting on the hilt of her hunting knife.

Vergil turned to the others behind him to discuss Caerys performance. "do you guys feel satisfied with her?" He seemed to be a little dissatisfied with the performance himself for some reason it went by to quick and was a little too simple.

Eli had watched the spar, he shook his head. Sure, she was good, but she was still too expensive. You could probably hire two men or women that together could probably match or exceed her damage output and definitely surpass her in durability. "I still say we just hire some less expensive people. It'll keep the group more well rounded."
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Sylvia noted the rather crestfallen and unmoved reactions of the mercenaries. This is the gladiator school, after all, not the arena itself. She could tell they were not quite impressed with her product. "A shame you think that way. Vergil here was present during her most glorious arena match so far; I do not have opponents on hand that can match the danger of a Rift Drake." Sylvia said, a bit aloof then emphasizing the creature she had conquered. While it was news indeed, it was mostly of interest to those that watched and followed the arena battles.
"May I suggest one of you test her yourself? Perhaps a spar with your comely leader? Or perhaps the female. Or the armored one. Or the snarky one." She looked to each of the mercenaries, judging each to be quite capable.
"Or perhaps you'd like to test her against some of the creatures that lurk in the forgotten alleys and crypts of lower Noxus. A hunt to demonstrate her field aptitude, not merely her ability to fight."
Titus grumbled, he shook his head slightly and looked over to Vergil. He banged his chest with a fist at him, showing he was willing to fight the woman, "I wish to test her." He said simply and roughly. He was quite bored, he wanted something to fight it had been too long since the last time he had fought a true battle. Vergil could deny him, it wouldn't bother Titus other than a little disappointment.
"My. A bloodthirsty one, aren't we. Eager to fight, even if it is an unarmored woman. Are there any objections? No? Go ahead then, unless the others mind." She gestured to the access stairs that was deployed onto the training grounds below.
Caerys looked up at the future company she'd be with, seeing that the heavily armored one seemed eager for a confrontation. She went to the grounds' flail rack and picked up the non-spiked long flail. She tested its weight... the 8 pound head should be adequate. She wraps most of the chain around her one hand, grasping the handle, begins swinging the flail head and awaited Titus.
The mercenaries would thus see that the woman picked her weapons wisely, choosing an armament that countered heavy armor, rather than stick to a single weapon. Bludgeoning weapons were the obvious trauma of armored warriors who think themselves safe inside plate mail.
"I like to know the person who could end up having my back can handle themselves." He growled, obviously unamused by the bloodthirsty comment, "If that makes me bloodthirsty than so be it."
Titus pulled his sword from it's scabbard, the thick blade ringing slightly as it was drawn. He offered the hilt to Eli, "Don't drop it." he grumbled before moving forward, assuming Eli had taken the blade. He kept his shield firmly strapped to his arm, it would be helpful against the blunt weapon. The metal clanked slightly as he clenched his now open hand into a fist, "An unarmored woman is unarmored because she can hold her own."

Eli took Titus's sword and gave him a small nod. He had wanted to fight Caerys, but Titus was faster to volunteer. "Have fun. Hopefully she'll be worth what Vergil wants to pay for 'er."
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Caerys looked at her opponent, and weighed his possible abilities. Heavily armored, so half-hearted blows weren't going to cut it- she'd have to make him feel her attacks.
She addressed him with questions, just as she entered a fighting stance with her flail. "Are you the leader of this group? I would like to know about the opponents we'll be fighting. Also, you can begin whenever you want..."
Titus remained silent, he did not talk in battle, it was nothing but a distraction. He slowly marched towards Caerys, cautious and watchful in his approach. His hand clenched and unclenched, his shield held up to chest height he knocked on the shield lightly, signaling her to attack.
Caerys responded Titus's silence with kind. She walked around a bit, and only attacked once she had taken a few steps to the left- because she wanted to be in the light of the afternoon sun and have Titus facing the light. Helmet or no, a split-second of blindness was all she needed to launch the heavy flail head at him.
Despite the heavy armor and shield, Caerys had enough experience with armored foes- a heavy bludgeoning object travelling at high speed was usually the answer, as she spun the flail head around and brought it to strike at his face level, on the side opposite where his shield was.
He couldn't duck, the armor made sure of that, Titus seemed destined to take the hit. In a split second his arm shot up at an angle towards the ball coming at him. He had been blinded but he had been prepared, he had picked up on the sun trick almost immediately as she had begun walking towards it. The chain swung around and wrapped a slight bit around Titus' forearm. Normally a ball and chain as such would break a man's forearm, but Titus' armor had been reinforced, it did not crumple, it held it's shape as if it hadn't been struck. The blow still hurt at his arm absorbed the impact but he had taken worse. In reply Titus swing his shield arm around in a slicing motion.
