Bandits. Mere bandits? why would they requires such special mercenaries? Caerys put the thought aside a moment as she confronted Eli. She had fought enough to recognize feints, and merely kept her distance.
Elie charged in, sword held up high. Rather than attack, she steps aside, parries the downward blow with spear tip, and struck at the side of Eli's knee with her spear's blunt end in a singular move to get him off balance.

Eli bent down as she struck, so it struck against his armored leggings, he grabbed the spear just after she struck and swung at her legs with his sword, which was in his other hand
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Eli would find that grabbing an impaler was no easy task, as they would meet Caerys's sharp nails scratching hands. Even protected, her nails could slip through gaps and deliver a small but nasty cut.
She simply raised her foot to avoid the sword blow to deliver a distracting knee strike. if he was that determined to hang on, she'd step inside Eli's sword arm and step between his legs to cause him to lose footing, while delivering a head-butt. A sword followed a set range and she stepped to inside, where it would be most awkward to swing or cut.

Beneath the plates on his gauntlets was fairly thick leather, leaving Caerys's nails useless. He had gotten what he wanted, even though he didn't hit her with the sword. Now that he had a grip on his weapon, there was nothing she could do to avoid him. He dropped his sword and drove his shoulder straight into her stomach and tried to wrap his free hand around her.
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Caerys was not for engaging in grapples. This man spoke of 'in the field' and yet was engaging in a prolonged struggle.
She didn't resist the shoulder to the gut- really, how many times are people hitting her in her most developed body part. She exhaled and took the blow, painful but minimized. She fell backward to bring the struggle to the sand, using the momentum to roll around and come out on top. Her counter move was simple- she'd grasp Eli by the head and began applying pressure with her thumbs to his eyes, not letting go until he relented.

Eli was blinded by Caerys, and in pain, but still able to use one of his favorite tricks. Even in the field, a grapple would not last long for him, he brought the hand not wrapped around Caerys between them and was forcing it upward toward her throat. With a sound of metal sliding along metal and a small click, Caerys would find two sharp blades barely an inch under her throat, they had extended from his gauntlet, he could easily have stabbed her in the throat. He loosened his grip on Caerys, and tried to pull away, but keeping the blades under her throat.

"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
Blinded as he was, Eli's attack wouldn't connect as expected. Caerys thought Eli grabbed some sand to retaliate with; blinded as he was he wouldn't notice that Caerys was slighty off the mark. Treachery was expected. The blade however, was not.
Attempting to defend herself, she got herself nicked in the side of her abdomen, thus drawing blood. She was about to switch to an arm lock, but she winced at the cut, and calls it. "First blood. your win."
She got up, helping Eli up as well. Sylvia was disappointed, but Caerys offered a hand to shake while holding the cut in her exposed side. "Well, that was definitely unusual... Good to see not everyone is like that first opponent. I'd be happy to fight with you, assuming you have me."
CAerys's arm was now bruised from the fight with Titus, and her side had a cut from mishandling Eli's arm blade. She applies a cauterizing agent and a bandage, looking up at the mercenaries.

Eli's armblade retracted, then he shook her hand, she had put up a good fight, most people wouldn't use the tactics he did, had he not resorted to grappling, she probably could have beaten him using the spear. He shook her hand gladly. "Same here, I had my doubts, bu' you seem like you'd be worth th' money. Most people don't grapple in battle like that." He held up his hand. "If you want I can help a bit with the healing, it's not much, works better on myself, but it dulls the pain at least."
"You might think you've won, but like a cornered animal, I don't give up!"
"I appreciate the offer, but until payment is finalized there is a strict no touching policy with the Brides." She said, with a sly smirk.
"Is there any other who shall fight me? Or have I proven my value?" she asked again, though at this point fighting an injured Bride would likely come off as unfair. Especially with her tricks already exposed.
Balcony...
Meanwhile, an old, bald grey-bearded man came to the balcony, dressed in simple white robes and began to repair Titus's arm with a combination of magic and mundane healing. He tells them man to brace for his shoulder's relocation.

Vergil decided that now was his turn as he started to make his way down to the training grounds he signals Eli to fall back and prepares his sword for combat before introducing himself. "My name is Vergil and I am the leader of this contingent." The lard blade of his sword extended a good length and the fact that it was two handed would mean he had much more leverage with each strike though it severely hampered his speed, however he had a few dirty tricks with his blade that would send shocks through Caerys weapon every time she would attempt to block, this gave him a hidden advantage.

Krutis was held onto Titus's arm as the healer patched his wounds, clearly she was starting to take a liking to him and this broke in the concern when he was fighting. She was still trying to keep her eyes off the training arena she didn't want to witness anymore of her friends getting hurt.
Caerys sighed, and prepared to test herself against Vergil, Thus far he had the advantage of seeing what she was capable of doing, while she was clueless about him.
"Well... then I suppose you can give me a proper briefing about our enemies then, so I can be better prepared." She saw his heavy, two handed sword and felt the Impaler to be an adequate weapon. She assumed a stance, waiting for him to make the first move.

Eli chuckled in response to Caerys "Well, hopefully you're no' one for much longer. Sorry about th't trick, a bit of a dick move maybe, bu' tha's how I'm used t' figh'in. Besides, I like t' win." He picked up his sword and sheathed it. He raised an eyebrow at Virgil. "No' really a fair figh' anymore, boss, she's a bi' hur' righ' now." He shrugged and went back to the balcony. He approved of Caerys, as did Titus it seemed. It would be a bit of a pointless fight.

"Our enemy is indeed bandits but more spacifically a rather large one that already killed 3 of our own and injured one more." He took a more defensive stance it seemed he and Caerys had the same idea of letting the other go first. However his blade was big enough to cover one quarter of his body meaning it doubled as a shield while at the same time working as a sword. He looked over at the balcony for long enough that Caerys could dump a quick surprise attack if she wanted.
"A large foe? hmmm. Tell me more about this large one. Heavily armored? what is his weapon? Is he their leader? How does he fight?"
Caerys slowly advanced, thrusting with the longer Impaler at Vergil to test his reactions. She attacked his hands on the sword, it was clear she was used to disabling her opponents, and that this test really was non-lethal after all.
