Vi came back shortly, a barrage of officers not far behind her. Coming to a halt near Caitlyn, she gave another wry smile. "Anything change while I was out? Or can I get started on closing off the area?"

"Nothing changed. Have the cameraman set up where you are, hand me my pad and paper, then begin to close the area off." Caitlyn did not bother looking at Vi, she simply stretched her arm backward and held her hand out greedily. She was still analyzing the scene before them and not paying full attention to Vi or the other officers.

Vi grabbed a pen and pad of note paper from a nearby officer, tossed it into Caitlyn's hands, and waved for the cameramen to come over. As soon as they were nearby and taking pictures of the crime scene, Vi leaped away, taping up every entrance to the alleyway with crime scene tape. When she ran out, she merely took up a spot near the last entrance, giving anyone who tried to come near a deadly glare. Needless to say, there were no trespassers.

Pictures were taken, chalk was used, Caitlyn scribbled down notes and looked about the scene. The moment they drew the chalk outline and took the appropriate pictures and sketches of the corpse and the scene, she shooed everyone away from her. Their foot steps now contaminated the scene, making her groan inwardly. They had to be more careful. With the other officers gone, she turned the body over, staring at the corpse's face.
"Absolute fear. He was terrified of what killed him."
She reached over and delicately took the hand of the broken arm and pulled the edge of the sleeve up. "Protruding bone. Strong assailant. But..." She turned the arm about, and saw the imprints of five tiny finger tips. "...A...woman's? No, a girl's? That doesn't make a lot of sense..."
Caitlyn looked around the scene, her eyes narrowing. "Need fingerprints to be done. The autopsy needs to be done, but...no evidence. No blood splatter." She sighed and bowed her head, "I really wish it was as telling as Udyr, or Olaf. It'd be a simple case. But not...this man was absolutely terrified. His clothing doesn't even denote him of someone who wants to have a fight. So why..."
Caitlyn motioned to some of the police officers in her line of view to come over. "Prepare to move the body. Have someone tell Vi to meet me at headquarters, I need to speak with her about some matters."
The sheriff got up from her position and walked away, not sure what to make of the scene yet.

Vi climbed up on top of a building in Piltover, looking out over some of the dingier streets. Hanging her legs over the side of the roof, she just sat there, keeping her eyes out for trouble. Who knows? The murderer may strike again, and she might just catch them. Or it. Or whatever the hell it was.
