Anyway. I mean to say, Freljord is a new city state. They JUST united under Tryn and Ashe. They will have little coin compared to the others, most clans would not be looking for coin when they could be looking for food. Only Raiders would take gold.
Should they have coinage...probably. I just want to point out that Tryn and Ashe are likely poorer than most Demacian Nobles.

Both good suggestions. I'll put Dogmas up for Piltover if no one's opposed. Aurors reminds me of Harry Potter though.. Can we think of another way to make the same statement?
Also, Yi, If you have a better suggestion, throw it at me!
In my head Ouro sounded like Aurors so yeah... also maybe Bilgewater's monetary system should be something simple, more like just calling it simply gold, or have a gold, silver, bronze system, like something out of WoW. I mean not all of them have to be weird.

Nominating "Denarius" as noxian currency.
The Denarius is, probably, the most well known "big" coin of the roman empire. It's name literally translates to "containing ten"; similar to how gold pieces contain ten pieces of silver.
Of course, we could call it "Cenarius", since it contains one hundred bronze pieces; but then Blizzard may sue us.
I'm nominating two historical names for the Ionian currency: the tael and the ryō.
The tael as a word comes from the Portuguese through the Malay tahil (meaning weight). In ancient China, they would pronounce it as liǎng.
The ryō came from China, as an original weight. It came to Japan during the 1100's and was replaced by the yen during the Meiji era. I would rather use this one because it's really Japanese oriented. The yen was created during the Meiji times and thus (in my opinion) would make it modern.
