Blood and tears ran aloof on the ever raging battlefield, the land which their origins grew and took firm roots within the community and the surrounding villages. The land that is no longer their own.
The ninja clad in blue dashed and maneuvered through the never ending sea of trees, Shen moved out of the temple a matter of minutes after Zen paved his way, which he only needed to follow.
Growing numbers within their rank was not at all halting, but there are those that needs to lead and those that will have to lead, forced by circumstances and circumstances dictate that the ones that remain are the ones that bear the responsibility, the ones that maintains the balance and keeps the pendulum ever swinging.
Very soon he arrived at the Hadoi village, one of the many village that they have made connections and contacts in the past, air of silence drenched the atmosphere and little activity occurred. The village is mostly empty, clearly identifiable town layout with a bird's eye view.
With the wind came a disturbance, sound of a blade being thrust into human flesh. Shen darted closer to investigate, closing off distance and trailing alongside the walls. A young woman's throat being slit by the blade of a ninjato, the flower withered and died as the shadow walkers backed away from the cold and deceased corpses.
Judging from his previous observations, these three ninjas are alone and by themselves, possibly a recon team of three that are simply responsible for scouting missions. the town displayed no major scale of warfare nor was it ravaged, but the absence of the town's population majority gives him a bad feeling.
A presence felt familiar nearby, but before he had to make a move, it exposed itself willingly, it was none other then Zen. Shen gestured for him to stay low and gave him his words:
"Suppress your curiosity, our first priority is to dispose of those ninjas."
Zen opened his mouth briefly, but before he uttered any words, Shen halted him.
"There is only the three of them, not a single villager in their home, except the young and those of the female gender. My survey does not show any other hostile activity in the area, tracks are still fresh, we should be able to track down the remaining villagers if we dispose of them quickly."
Zen was about to move when he heard something from behind. He grabbed his blade and turned his head to see Shen. He let out a silent sigh of relief at the sight of his fellow comrade, as he reminded to stay low and out of sight. He raised a brow at his orders. These scouts could hold valuable information, why would he went to chip in his ideas, but was quickly interrupted by his words. He paused for a moment. He was right, now realizing the flaws of his ideas. They would need to get as many shadow ninja out of the way so that they could find the villagers before they could have done something to inflict imbalance or get themselves get killed. He pulled out his throwing knives, ready to provide attack from a distance while to balance out their range of attack.

Bodies fell. Lives were lost. The ninety seven slowly but surely died down. Surprised by the renewed vigor of the enemy, they fell one by one. They were scared, these men just didn't seem to die, they fought and fought even after having limbs removed. The ninjas fought with their lives, dedicated to the order, they would not flee, they would fight to the last man.
A thunderous boom seemed to shake the earth, clouds enveloped all light and blotted it out. Rain now poured down onto the battlefield, making pools of blood and water. Bodies from both sides of the battle were strewn across the temple grounds, their faces twisted in horror. Others lay, slowly bleeding to death, watching their last moments fade. The village was winning without a doubt, mostly due to Vladimir's interference and their numbers.
The shadows watched, they listened, they felt, they sent all this information to Zed himself. The Master of Shadows currently sat on an even plane in the realm of shadows, linked with the world itself. He watched as all went according to plan. Noxus and the Order of Shadows would be joined, and with the Noxian might backing him, Zed could finally remove the balance completely.
The battle raged for a good time, but the Hadoi villagers would not "die". Now only a group of six ninjas remained, spaced out slightly, they fought. Normally these would be taken as prisoners, but they were destined for death. Zed watched with a slight pain, he did not enjoy their deaths, but it was necessary.
Shadow people follow him everywhere he goes. Looking over his shoulder, the paranoia flows.

The three ninja in the village looked about at the villagers surrounding them. They readied their blades, waiting for one of them to make the first move. The Ionian woman's ears twitched. She disappeared, though her "corpse" remained.
She sensed Shen had come. And...someone else? Odd. It did not matter.
The Order of Shadows ninjas suddenly darted forward. One aimed to impale a young girl, another aimed to slash at the belly of a pregnant woman, the third was readying a horizontal slash at a young boy who shakily held a weapon.
She was curious, to say the very least, to observe if what Shen said was true: That ninjas were faster than light.

Vladimir sat when he work was done, though he wasn't amused, not as much as he thought he would be. The indirect bloodshed wasn't enough for him, he wanted to be out on the battlefield slicing through people, feeling their world life essence splash on to him. Any and all the men he controlled would then drop dead on the floor. The streams of blood all seemed to lead down from the battle field into the nearby treeline. If anyone inspected the area, they would see the blood had seemingly disappeared, though the rain would make it hard for anyone to see. Vladimir would be reconsidering the deal he made with Swain. When he was positive the ninety ninjas were slain, his form would slowly dissolve into a thick red mist as he took his leave. He would await at a secret destination for LeBlanc to finish whatever mission she was given.

Plans and preparations came to be of no importance when changes mark destiny, as clearly evident by the changing atmosphere surrounding the village.
The three ninjas beforehand made their moves and it is evident that some strings pull behind their backs, for their actions are simultaneous and evidently patterned. Shen darted out of his cover, throwing his vorpal blade at the steel cold edge about to be embedded into the skin of child, if the ninja is capable of dodging that sword, then Zen will be able to handle him. The other two was quick to stab at the innocent women and the young girl, not impossible to protect two at the same time, but difficult. Shurikens began flying in the air, aimed at the arms, the legs and the head. To continue with their brutal assault would be forfeit in regards to their lives, but they continued with their actions, having suffered grave injury, their blades still attempted to thrust deeper, slowly, but surely.
Shen having realized the determined resolve of those ninjas, made his ultimate technique known, the silent chanting and words echoed across as the blade halted before the field of Ki. They die how they wished to kill, two katanas straight through the torso, blood poured out of their lifeless corpse as they slowly fell to the ground.
Blade cleansed with one quick swipe to the ground.
It seemed Sky wouldn't have to worry about those last two at this point. She had one left to slay before her quota was filled. As the last of the Order's Ninja went down, Sky dropped to the ground and started to sneak away from the battlefield to investigate. She didn't like any of this. It felt set up, and the controlled villagers made her wonder what kind of magic was being used to fuel this. She knew the villagers wouldn't have access to such - at least it seems like they wouldn't.
As she'd come around, she'd spot one of the villagers stabbing the corpse of one of the shadow order repeatedly. It was obvious he was already dead, but the guy just wouldn't give up. His rage was evident in the repeated motion, giving Sky the perfect opportunity to just end his misery.
The rain started to pour down, causing the scenery around her to something akin to that of where Talon had trained her. Muddy, difficult to see, and the perfect atmosphere for her to do the last of what needed be done. A thin wire would be removed as she crept up behind the man who fell silent as the rain crashed across his form. His mind too far lost in the act of murder to realize that Sky was creeping up behind her.
The wire easily would find itself wrapped around the man's throat as Sky yanked back, though he wouldn't so easily go without a fight. His hands flew up quickly as he shoot to his feet, forcing her to stagger back and lose balance. The much larger body falling backward and pinning her against the mud. His head jerked back against her face, knocking her head back against the pool of water forming beneath them forcing blood to begin dripping form her nose and a bruise to rapidly form across her eye.
The sensation of the man's elbow striking against her side caused her to gasp in pain. The wire around his neck cutting deeper the more he fought until her hands shifted to one side forcing the wire to slice deeply enough to sever the arteries. As his body started to still and the horrid sound of his gurgling reached Sky's ears, her eyes slowly closed both with pain for having to make him suffer, and relief for having survived.
She'd completed her task. Now, she'd move off to investigate further.
Sky would wiggle herself out from beneath the heavy corpse and climbed to her feet feeling the chill of the mud soaked into her clothing. The rain the only thing to relieve it as it started to wash it somewhat from her. Moving through the endless trees, she would begin to close the distance to the village. The hood pulled up again to hide her features.
Zen gasped at the ninja attempt at murdering the innocent. He leaped into the air and beyond cover. Mid-flight, he threw out a few throwing knives at the ninja who would dodge the vorpal blade, aiming for lethal areas. He landed on the ground and sent out a flurry of throwing knives at the other ninja.

Quicker than one could blink, the three ninja were on the ground, lifeless and blood leaking out of their bodies. The Ionian woman let out a light chortle, and snapped her fingers.
The ninja's robes burst into flames, charring and blackening the corpses. No amount of water would be able to put them out, and if anyone stepped too close, the fire would hungrily jump on them. To cremate a body tends to take hours upon hours. Within seconds, the three ninjas were reduced to nothing but ash.
The Ionian woman would appear next to the disguised Vladimir at their meeting spot. She curtsied to him, "So, Hamato Yoshi, has everything gone according to plan on your end? Any hiccups?"

Vladimir smirked as she appeared, still in her Ionian disguise, his eyes growing a brighter crimson then normal. "Everything went as planned, though it seemed like there was more than the designated ninety-seven. Perhaps it was a rogue ninja passing by, but three men were taken out by some one who wasn't marked to die. Their pulse seemed familiar, but i'm not sure who it was. Do you think we should investigate?"
A thirst for blood became very apparent in his eyes, true murder, not indirect killing.
Zen gasped at the ninja's sudden burst of cremation. He took a few steps back, wondering why the men of shadows bursted into flames and left nothing but ashes... This wasn't right... Something was up and he didn't like it.
He went up to one of the villagers. Putting his weaponry away. "Do you know what happened here? Where is everyone else and why are the Order of Shadows here?" The woman that he spoke with answered shakily. "The Order of Shadows were planning an attack on us. They decided to take action and go out to attack before they could. We're left here, and were attacked by those three. Then you came to save us." Zen paused for a moment. What would be the best actions? After a few minutes, the ninja decided to action of his own and help the villagers. "Go in your homes and hide. Stay away from windows and make sure all entrances to your homes our sealed tightly. Light some candles too. They come from the shadows, so keep your homes well lit." He said. The villagers began to walk into their homes for safety, as he turned back to Shen. Perhaps it was bad to just go do that without asking Shen, but he knew they wouldn't be safe out here. He knew what he had done may have been the wrong choice, as he apologetically lowered his head. "Apologies if it wasn't what you wished to do master... But it needed to be done." He reasoned.

It was done, finally, Noxus would soon officially ally itself with the Order of Shadows. Zed let out a long sigh, still sitting the the realm of shadows. The darkness lapped at his legs, almost like a sea of shadows. One more thing to do and then he could just... The shadows had one final bit of information for him. A piece of information that was quite dire to his apprentice.
Shen was in the village, where his apprentice was heading now. A slight twitch of his head was enough to send a distorted barrage of shadows into the distance. A rush of emotions shot into his mind, anger, sadness, and jealousy. His long standing enemy... the one who made his life what it is, dared to be this close to the temple? The nerve, the arrogance, the foolishness, he would pay for this, this was shadow territory, not his. He would die!...
Zed composed himself, wondering where his sudden animosity had come from. He gazed about as if he were an entirely different person, unaware of where he was. His eyes narrowed as the shadows again relayed the information, Shen was close, too close. Now was not the time however, he needed to inform his apprentice and leave Shen to his business unless it truly threatened the Order.
The shadows whispered to Kuromei, the sound of Zed's voice echoing through them, "Avoid the village, Shen is there and he will kill you if given the chance..." With that the voice disappeared, a simple message, nothing else. Another message drifted to the village this one threatening, and loud. It boomed across the village, with authority and power, echoing through the area, "Shen! Leave this place! Take your group and leave! This will be your one and only warning!" Then it too, faded.
Shadow people follow him everywhere he goes. Looking over his shoulder, the paranoia flows.
Sky climbed into a tree, oddly where she preferred to be over being stuck on the ground. Probably the sky pirate in her. She'd jump across to another tree and climb her way a bit higher trying to gain a vantage point. As the shadows whispered, her expression twisted into one of mild anger. "Why the fuck would he kill me? He doesn't even know I'm your little kill-slave." She was furious that she was forced to kill those five people.
She would continue towards the village which by this point was only a few feet from where she was, stopping as she reached the outskirts using the trees to keep herself well hidden. Her small frame allowed her to move across thinner branches without too much hindrance or fear of them breaking under her weight. She'd fall quiet and linger there, listening. A lone home with candles burning brightly drew her attention, frowning slightly at the fact it made the place a beacon in the more dimly lit cluster of homes. Why would they do that? Everything was odd tonight. She'd be ready to book it if any sign of danger showed up.
Muttering to the shadows to relay a message to Zed, she kept her voice extremely low, "Already here anyway. I want to know why they attacked us. They were just common people.. They were afraid. It makes no sense for them to do this."

Shen was not unaware of Zen's moral standing on the issue and finds no particular issue with the solving of this problem with his own particular method, through in doing so, he is attracting attention to the village once more and forcing them to play their cards accordingly.
"Your methods are not unrecommended, through we have lost all traces, where they are headed is our old temple, if we make haste, then we should be able to comprehend the current situation... That would of been a first option, if not for the possible problems we are causing ourselves with dimly light candles in the middle of the dark night."
It is then did that familiar menacing voice was once again heard, a warning, a message sent by a traitor within their own ranks. Like a snake hissing in the darkness, it retracted it's poison tip and crawled back into the shadows and the quiet and peaceful atmosphere once again reasserted itself in the village.
Venturing deep within enemy territory was never a good idea, despite it being a land which they have involved themselves with, Shen is considering the choices, whether to retreat, or to pursuit. But firstly...
Shen vanished from plain sight, traced his footstep carefully and efficiently, he has located someone spying upon their presence. A female, aura of darkness lingers. Shen appeared very suddenly behind her, blade upon her throat.
The branch that Sky had been settled on would creak and strain when a larger mass was added onto it. She froze up, cursing herself for not listening to Zed like she should have. For once, he was right. "Ah-haha.." she laughed nervously, "How 'bout you just.. lower your weapon, and I'll tell you what you want to know?" She would sneak a quick glance back at Shen as her legs slowly straightened beneath her to a standing position on the branch. Eyes flicking about for a quick escape, knowing the limit of the branch she occupied.
As it started to buckle under the weight, and snapped, Sky would take this opportunity to move away from Shen, leaping for a nearby branch to try to escape. Her movements were well trained, suggesting she at least knew how to run the hell away!
This left Shen with two choices. He could leap after her and hope he could parkour his way through the trees, or he could try not to fall and hurt himself too much since the branch broke beneath their weight.
Sky didn't notice it initially, but a thin line of blood dripped from a shallow cut in her neck where Shen had placed his blade. It wouldn't be enough to slow her down, but it would be a reminder that she's not always as clever as she thinks she is.
