"I would agree." Leona replied with a sigh. "I would agree.." Her hazel eyes met Riven's amber ones and she simply nodded before returning to her seat on the grass.
Riven returned to her seat as well, and ate more of her meal. She wasn't really sure what to talk about now. Though she was curious about one more thing.
"What business, exactly, did you have at the Institute, if I may ask?"

Leona flickered her eyes back to Riven. "Just some papers I have to sign for... apparently the summoners wish me to stay at least 15ft away from Diana at all times while in the institute.. for obvious reasons." Leona replied, wiping off her sword now with a rag.
"The Lunari... It makes sense I suppose." Riven sighed and took her final piece of meat. "Honestly, to see what has happened to her is tragic. In some ways, she isn't too different from me either."

"I.. I know.." Leona said with a sigh... her gaze down cast at the grass. "It's not something I wish to talk about..." Leona then said, sadness in her voice.
"I understand." Riven didn't need to say anything else than that. She wasn't going to push the issue. What she had heard of the incident was shocking, saddening, and truly tragic. It was even rumored that the Lunari and Leona herself had been good friends, perhaps more. The Solari had indeed suffered heavy losses in her life.
"Some wounds simply do not heal with time, and we carry them with us, always. Such is the way of life." Riven glanced to the stars in the night sky. "All we can do, is try to move forward, and to not let the same errors befall us again." She sighed. "It hurts, but we are better people for our pain, and our lessons..."

Leona sighed, her eyes flickering to the fire... they were dreamy, as if she was recalling a distant memory before they came back to reality. "I would agree, Riven." Leona replied, her features seeming to return to normal. She too looked up at the stars... the night always reminded her of Diana, and it hurt.
"Never forget... right?" Leona then said softly, staring at the sprinkling light in the sky
"Never forget..." Riven was silent for a time after that, her gaze shifting to the flames crackling in the pit. Time would pass without either of them saying a word, each one likely lost in their thoughts about their respective regrets and troubles. However, after Riven had felt she had pondered enough on her past, she would sight, stretch, and pull herself into a standing position.
"Well, I suppose that's dinner." She offered a faint smile to the Solari. "Your company was pleasant, I must admit."

"It was, thank you." Leona replied, standing herself. "It was nice speaking with you, Riven." Leona returned the smile and got her shield and sword. "I would like to do it again sometime." Leona then bowed to the Exile and turned, going about her own way once more
"Perhaps we will. Until then, Solari, take care of yourself." Riven would watch the Solari go, feeling better about her situation. It was just one new ally, but it truly meant something, and, she had to admit, perhaps she had made a friend in the process. Time would tell, however. She still wished to remain separated from such complexities. She didn't want to be hurt again by the loss of such a things. Yet, still, it was nice to have some company once in a great while...
As Leona left, Riven would get to tending her camp and stoking the fire. She'd need a good bed of coals to keep her warm though the night...

As much as Riven may have wished to find rest, she wouldn't. Or perhaps she would simply ignore his appearance. He didn't quite care overall, he needed to know what her little band's foolhardy plan was, to know if he had to stem the tide then and there or not. She had come with nothing and Swain had shown everyone just how pathetic it was.
"Exile, it's about time we spoke." Talon spat, stepping from the shadows and into the light of the fire, looking grim, "I can only presume you have some questions for me as well."
"Blade's Shadow..." Riven's hand was against the handle of her blade in the case he came under less-than-friendly pretenses. "I was wondering when you would show yourself." She turned to face the Noxian assassin, her eyes stern.
"You're correct. I have many questions, but before I ask them, I want to know where your loyalties lie." She paused a moment. "The fact that I don't have a blade in my back suggests you're my ally, but I want to hear it from your mouth as well."

"You are nothing to me. You're not worth my time to kill, otherwise, you would be dead." Talon explained, staring down at the fire as he continued. "I had thought it was apparent enough to everyone that my loyalties lie only with myself and the absent DuCouteau."
"Or did whatever possessed you to forget the Noxian way rob you of the ability to think as well? Has your grief and loneliness broken you just like your silly blade?" He didn't bother to look up at her, slinging insults without a hint of emotion.
"My broken blade is more than enough for the likes of you." Riven spat back. "I do not like you, Blade's Shadow. I do not like what you do. It is cowardly, low, and not at all a part of the proud and honorable vision of Noxus I wish to see brought upon the world stage." She paused.
"However, the General saw fit to trust you to protect his interests..." She sighed. "Regardless of your actions, you know things few others know." Riven glanced to Talon and spoke again. "I've met with Heywan Relivash, talked to him about Kalamanda. His trail was fragmented, his explanations riddles, but they lead me to what happened beneath Demacia."
"Only the prince, yourself, and DuCouteau know what information was down there." Riven crossed her arms and frowned. "I don't like you, Blade's Shadow, but you are the only one I can turn to for this. To that end, perhaps we can help each other achieve our goals."
"So...what happened down there? What did you learn?"

"What did I learn in the depths? I didn't learn anything of particular interest. I was securing something, something of particular interest to me and me alone. you've heard of what happened in the Ivory Ward, haven't you? Surely you can't have missed something like that." Talon explained, still not bothering to look at the Exile. "It wasn't a shock. The powers that be are not what they seem, not in the slightest. I can't speak for the League but their reputation has gone to nothing since the Kalamanda incident, as well as Noxus' departure."
"As for Noxus..." He paused and finally looked up to glare at Riven, crossing his arms as he did so. "Look to the Rose if you want your answers. They've been pulling strings longer than you know, probably longer than I do. I wouldn't be shocked to find out that they've had a hand in everything that Noxus has done since before you or I were born."
"And don't go rushing in there again like an overeager harlot. I don't want a reason to piss on your grave if I don't facilitate you being put in it."
