Gillam munches on the snacks provided as best he can while holding the cat. "That is a shame...it must be a stray then..." Gillam studied the animal once more, while stroking its fur. "We'll, what do you suppose we do with it?"

Emuishere sniffed the air when she notices the tray. FOOD! Scrambling from Gillam's hold, she'd dart quickly towards the tray with the fish on it. Delicately she'd hop up, and quickly start eating the dried fish as if she were starving horribly! She disregarded everything else, of course. This smelled far too good to pass up.
Jarvan was disgusted at seeing the cat jump onto the tray of fish. "No, bad cat!" He quickly got out of his seat and lifted the cat off of the tray. He then puts the cat on the ground. "Cat, that is very bad manners." The prince realizes though that he is trying to reason with a cat. He picks up the fish tray and sets it on the ground. "There, but only because you got your cat spit all over it."
The prince then re-takes his seat. "I suppose I will keep it here in the palace. Maybe the servants will like having a pet." He shakes his head. He couldn't believe he was getting pushed around by a simple house cat.

Gillam backed away as the pet leaped up not the tray, clearly surprised. He laughed. "My, this cat is very energetic..." Gillam took a bite of the fish. It was rather tasty, despite some of the cat hairs scattered on the piece of meat.
As he continued munching, a question popped into Gillam's head that he had wanted to ask for quite some time. "Pardon me, your highness, but are you aware of what happened at the Deserter's Skirmish? What was the outcome of that battle?"

When Emuishere was lifted, she would protest a bit with a couple chunks of fish hanging from her maw. Oh how hungry she was and for fish! FISH! How could he take her away from it?
When he tried to scold her for it, the cat looked up at him wide eyed before quickly diving into the plate as it was set down. She could hardly contain herself, eating like she hasn't eaten in some time.
Jarvan shook his head at Gillam. "Hrm the deserter's Skirmish." He takes a moment to contemplate this before answering. "Well I heard of it, but not the outcome of it. Why do you ask?"
He sighs when he sees the cat's eating etiquette. "Cat, if you are going to stay in the palace, you are going to be trained."

"I was just wondering...whether or not my desertion that day affected the outcome. To this day, that is the biggest regret that I have had. However, if we won, that feeling of regret might be a bit easier to deal with..."
