A different waiter, expertly carrying all the trio's meals, would return to the table, "Here are your meals." He set out all the steaks in front of each individual with great dexterity. He then set out a three glasses and poured water in each of them from a nearby pitcher. "I hope you enjoy your meals. The chef wishes you all well."
The waiter turned away, but just as he did he snapped his fingers as if he remembered something important. "By the Miss Vi and Miss Caitlyn. An odd man wearing hat and with an odd accent was here earlier. I noticed he had a deck of cards on him, and he just left out the back when you two arrived. However, he told me to give you theses." The waiter handed a red rose to Caitlyn and a white rose to Vi. Then he handed Caitlyn a card that had, "Catch me if ya' can, cheri's." It was an old throwback to the very first card the illusive Cardmaster had given Caitlyn. Surely they would not miss this chance, after all he couldn't have gotten far!

Vi took one quick glance at the note and rose, and then turned on her steak. "Hmph. Sure, he's wanted for pretty much every crime short of murder, but..." she licked her lips at the juicy steak. "You know, he does have that teleport thing he can do...there's a pretty good chance he's on the other side of Valoran by now. I don't mind going after him, Cait, but...damn, this steak looks good." She fingered the knife that came with it hungrily, ready to dig in at a moment's notice, but waiting for Caitlyn's approval first.

Caitlyn looked over at the waiter, looking over at the waiter. "Thank you, I appreciate it. I assume you are talking about Twisted Fate, yes?"
She took the rose, nodding. "Th-" she cut herself off as she took the card, and looked down at it, then where he was, grinding her teeth. "Damn it, Fate, always the clever one and one for show..."
Caitlyn would look over at Vi. "Indeed he could be, plus I can't really chase people in this..." She points to her dress, and nods at Vi. "It does look pretty good..." She would grab a knife and fork, and began to cut up the steak, putting pieces of it in her mouth at a time.

The waiter merely nodded, "I just thought it was in my duty to inform you two that he left a earlier. I hope you enjoy your meal." The waiter said before bowing and returning to the back of the restaurant, most likely to prepare another table's food.
However, it was rather ironic of how Caitlyn happened to mention Twisted Fate's showy personality. It was the best way to mess with authorities. He appear so near, only to escape by the skin of one's teeth. That very skill is what has made Twisted Fate such an infamous criminal. Perhaps his bounty was so high due to the police's frustrations with failing to catch him multiple times. Or some mobster who used his influence over the law enforcement to raise the bounty that high, but that is another story about the gypsy for another time.
However, from the other side of the glass the trio of champions would hear a tapping. The first thing they might see is one of the widest smirks, and a rather familiar one at that. On the other side of the glass stood the infamous master of cards and escapes. The gypsy stepped back from the glass tipped his hat to the ladies and stuck a tongue out a Jayce before walking away. Since they did not rush out of the restaurant when the waiter informed them that he was near, they clearly were not in the mood to fool with him. Perhaps he would go and con a local noble out of some of her wealth! After all he clearly didn't have to worry about the police since it seems the dynamic duo were passing up on this case.

Jayce was appalled at Fate's actions, but he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He rose from the table, and walked over to where Fate was sitting, only to find that he had already disappeared without a trace. He scratched his head, tilting it to the side, before walking back to sit down at the table once again. The knife beside the plate had already been stuck into the meat, and Jayce pulled it out to cut the steak, looking at the two ladies the whole time.
He should be apologizing for the trouble he caused, but he wasn't sure if he should.
Hmm... If it weren't for me, you would have been able to catch Fate, yeah? I'm sorry for the trouble.[/color]

Vi shrugged. "It's no problem. Not much more than a workout normally." She continued eating her steak, polishing her plate in an incredibly short amount of time. With that, she leaned back in her chair. "So, how's life treatin' you, Jayce?" She gave a contented sigh and slouched slightly, enjoying the comfortable environment.
