Poppy nods, looking slowly around the restaurant.
"Correct. I was never one for that kind of... entertainment. All I ever needed was Whomper, a piece of metal and the heat of the forge. I am a simple person like that."
She then turns her head back to Titus, her expression not changing as usual.
"But...but...but there's got to be more than fighting, diplomacy, and blacksmithing. I mean...well...you hang out with the other 9 yordle champions. Don't you have fun with them?"
Titus face is a bit worried. She might be as boring as a brown dwarf.

"Hang out with them? I wish. I'm an ambassador, my schedule does not allow me to have much free time, let alone find time to meet with others of my kind. Only other yordles I really meet are those who work at the Embassy."
Poppy shakes her head, sighing.
"I've sacrificed a lot to bring our kind and Demacia together. My father died delivering a helm to Demacia... my personal life has become nearly non-existant, I rarely get to leave Demacia due to my position... all to make sure that Bandle City and Demacia are close allies."
The waiter comes back with water and apple juice in the tray. He places the water near to Poppy and the apple juice next to Titus. He hands out the menu to the two before leaving.
"Bandle City and Demacia are allies. No one is going to sabotage that. Poppy, I know you have a great responsibility but you can't place your life to anyone. Have you ever considered asking the Mayor more vacation time?"

"Have you considered that I enjoy my work? That I like doing it? Yes it is taxing and offers little free time... but I do not think I would know what to do if I had an extended period of free time. The only reason I didn't get absolutely bored during my last visit to Bandle City, was because I had commissions to work on."
Poppy starts looking through menu slowly.
"I rarely take vacations, or ask for them. I am one for work more than staying and relaxing somewhere for an extended period of time. Some call it boring, but it is how my life is."
Titus skims through the menu, then stops at the seafood section. Then he looks up to Poppy again.
"Take for me as an example. I have to lead an entire navy but I always have ways to have fun in my spare time. My life isn't always about commanding or astronomy or whatnot. And yours, in my opinion, shouldn't as well. Point is to be lively! And...yea you enjoy your work, which I respect, but show off more of your light. Like a star, be luminous!"

As Titus points out that he feels her style of life is boring, Poppy narrows her eyes.
"I believe how I live my life is MY choice, not YOURS. Choose how you act carefully if you want this to be anywhere near the length of a proper date."
If there was something that annoyed the determined yordle woman, it was someone telling that she should life her life differently.
"And what if I find my current life as lively as I want? Hmm? I live my life how I want, not how others want me to. What is worth a life, if you live it as others want you to instead of how you want it to be? It is like slavery, your opinions, your wishes, they don't matter. What matters is how others want you to live. I am known for being determined, doing things MY way.
This life is MY life, not anyone elses. Understood?"

"I'm an Ambassador, a political envoy. What do you expect one in my position would do? Paperwork, meetings with Demacian officials, handling Bandle City business within Demacia. Making sure our kind does not cause trouble within Demacian borders and settling any possible legal issues regarding a yordle. That is how my days go mostly."
Poppy keeps looking through the menu, not really thinking one way or the other about any of the dishes.
A waiter approaches the table and drops off a basket full of breadsticks and butter before leaving. The band and people are still swinging in the center of the restaurant.
"And I'm guessing the rest of your day must be sleep then. Hahaha!"

"Afraid? Why is that? As long as you do not break their laws, Demacians are a very pleasant people to be around."
Poppy keeps looking through the menu until she finds a dish that is quite familiar to her... a traditional Demacian dish that has found it's way to Bandle Cit's restaurants.
