The Master Tactician's gaze remained impassive until Warwick's mention of the Pridestalker. A fire blazed behind his mask of polished poise. "Rengar? Is he still in the city?" Upon the desk, Beatrice craned her neck in echo of her master's sudden interest.
He scowled in thought. "I may have another project to add to your queue."

Swain's sudden interest surprised Warwick. He had never really see Swain show any emotion other than cold and calculating brutality.
"He should still be here. I was just with him after coming here."
The mention of another project set the animal in his head on fire. If Swain was willing to push this plan up because of Rengar's presence, than this mission could only be one thing in his mind.
A hunt, a REAL hunt. Not chasing so terrified peon and his lackies. A real dangerous hunt, with a real challenge.
"General, as long as I get to kill and get a little compensation for it, add all the projects you want."

A gnarled finger came to his shroud in contemplation. The Grand General briefly wondered if Rengar would be able to stay his hand in the presence of his sworn enemy--but even if he could not do so of his own accord The Blood Hunter still had enough wits about him to wait, and to encourage his partner to do the same. Swain would be sure to entreat Singed to administer an extra-potent dose of Warwick's stabilizing serum before his departure.
The Master Tactician's blazing eyes flickered with the flame of grim purpose as he focused them upon his mercenary. "I want you to work alongside Rengar. Bring him to me. You both will be compensated handsomely if you can succeed..." Swain set his jaw behind his shroud. His withered features grew sharp with unspoken determination; this mission was of grave importance--and the two best trackers in the world had just been presented for his use. "In capturing the Voidreaver."
Withered fingers drummed over the arm of his chair as he continued. "I need him alive, initially, a specimen. I want him delivered to Singed in one piece. Do you understand?" His brows lifted in punctuation of this detail's significance. "After the Chemist has utilized his subject completely, then--and only then--is it to be slaughtered."

The Voidreaver? Swain wanted him to hunt one of the deadliest creatures on Valoran? This truly was worth moving up. He could feel the excitement of hunting something truly worthy.
And Singed was involved too. How far did this alliance go?
"This is a assignment I shall truly enjoy. I will..try to restrain myself from killing the beast, but the Pridestalker? He will require a lot of coercing to not kill his prize. I will go and present him with your offer."
"First an elemental and now a voidling. It seems your intent on using our enemies own kind against them."

"But you can best him should he threaten our interests, I presume," the Grand General issued a veiled chide. "He will have Kha'Zix's head after the Chemist has conducted his business. And you will both be paid well for your service."
Swain raised one brow over the other in response to the Blood Hunter's assertion. "No asset left untapped, Warwick. No stone left unturned. Everything with purpose." His expression darkened with grim intent. "Now go. Bring Rengar to me within the hour that I might provide you both with more detailed instructions." A jerk of his head indicated the door and Warwick's dismissal.

Warwick left Swains room after his swift dismissal. He certainly didn't waste time. He would go and collect Rengar, but first we should wash the blood off himself. He didn't want to smell bad after all.

Rengar's heavy steps filled the hallway as he was making his way to Swain's office by invitation. The Grand General had him summoned for something involving his arch nemesis as mention by the Blood Hunter who had been sent to collect him.
He stopped outside the Grand Generals office and clenched his fists. "what is so important that you had to interrupt my meal for?" He demanded, his stomach not nearly as full as he hoped it would be.

The Grand General quirked a brow at the hunter's coarse address. A sly smirk spread over his withered features as he extended a hand towards the platter of deli cuts and cheeses that sat upon the coffee table. "I interrupted your meal? How rude of me. Please, help yourselfl." He did not rise to greet his guest, but remained seated in the swiveled chair, folding his hands together after his somatic invitation.
"I have a proposition for you, Pridestalker. Something of great importance to us both. A hunt. For your nemesis." Crimson eyes flared in the dim office, reflecting the light of the single candle. "Not only will I give you the tools, the information and the collaborator to aid in your self-proclaimed mission--but I will reward you monetarily as well."
Gnarled fingers drummed over the general's breastplate. "I am a very generous employer, you'll come to find." He narrowed his eyes, pursed his lips behind his shroud. "But there is one exceedingly delicate part of this mission. Have I gained your interest?"

The Pridestalker stomped himself over to the food on the table and engorged himself on the small snack in his opinion. The word nemesis rung through his ears like a terrible plague, last he checked only himself and the league were interested in his future trophy. He listened to the rest of the proposition before stating his case. "What do you have that I don't that will help me claim this trophy?" He argued, he didn't need anything either then his own equipment. The sound of 'delicate' made him a little more suspicious of this whole idea. "What is this delicate part you speak of? A hunt is a hunt there is the hunter and the prey, what is so delicate about that?" He requested another answer.

Swain chuckled. "If you require no aid, Pridestalker," his expression became sinister, challenging, though still the lines on his face crinkled in amusement. "Why have you not yet laid claim to your prize?"
"Warwick bested you in a competition of skill, hm? Or am I mistaken." He leaned forward in his chair, crimson eyes ablaze. "Think upon what Valoran's two most skilled trackers could achieve."

Warwick gleefully watched as Swain began to cast his net of words over Rengar. He had used reward, offering him great prizes. After that he began to play off of the hunters pride, bringing his failures to light.
Swain was always a good speaker. He might lack natural charisma, but he had a way with people. He had attained great power, despite his weaknesses. He was dangerously brilliant. And he could plan what you would do before you could do it. Something Warwick could respect. Jericho Swain might not be nice man or a kind mind, but he sure was a respected man.
Warwick knew Swain would make good arguments to gain Rengar's aid, it was just a matter if the Rengars desire to win would beat out his pride. And if things got out of hand, he would get a front row view to what happens when a predator becomes prey.

"A city is not the jungle and that district stunk of Zaunite chemical, not to mention the Blood Hunter using trickery to win the challenge." Rengar bellowed at the insult that Swain had crafted, using a game to make him look like a failure. "That creature is stronger then most it takes time to prepare yourself both mind and body for such a opposition" He continued to make sure the Swain understood that Kha'Zix was both not a easy foe and that Rengar was getting ready for the day he will take the bugs head. Rengar dismissed the part about Valoran's best trackers, he didn't want to add room for insult.

Warwick had to step in after Rengar's accusation.
"Trickery? You revealed yourself in an attempt to try to aid me. You took your eyes off the prey when you did that. I didn't. That is why you lost. Don't let your pride try to hide your mistakes Pridestalker."

The Master Tactician's crimson eyes narrowed. "Quiet," he commanded, bearing no patience for the impending comparison of skills. "Indeed, it is strong. Worthy prey, one might say." In quick staccato, punctuating his purposeful speech, his fingers drummed again upon the armrest of his chair. At his shoulder, Beatrice watched as the two trackers vehemently defended their own worth and decisions, her red eyes gleaming in echo of her master's.
"So really," the Grand General continued, "in my benevolence, I am presenting you an opportunity. Either you will aid me in Kha'Zix's capture--or I will contract another partner for Warwick, who has proven himself capable--and the hunt for which you've waited will take place without you." His expression became dark, purposeful. "We couldn't have that, could we, Pridestalker?" Luminous eyes burned with purpose.
"I need the Voidreaver. I need him brought to Zaun alive. Achieve this for me and earn my gratitude, your glory and more gold than you can likely count." His gaze remained purposely affixed to Rengar's duo-chromatic stare. "And after it has served its purpose to Singed, the reaver will be yours to do with as you please."
