Udyr gave a long, stern glare to Markus. The beast man let out a low growl and cricked his knuckles. "The blood is old. That means the Jester was here hours ago, and had ample time to do whatever he could fathom with her. Since her corpse with a crude attempt at humor is not here, and the trail of blood leaving the hut are trickles compared to arterial spraying, he is taking her somewhere for his humor."
He scratched his gi, pulling the cloth back to show a peek at his chest which revealed horrific burn wounds. With a slight wince, Udyr continued. "The cat has said that he wished to bring her to meet someone. She could have been killed here and now due to her weakness, but rather than doing so she lives. Why would the Jester spare someone his brand of humor, unless there was a bigger...hrm...'Punchline', in preparation for her."
Udyr shrugged his shoulders and stated in a far too relaxed tone, "We assume she will be brought to Warwick and killed while outside of League jurisdiction and be at the mercy of the Jester and the Bloodhunter. That is the price she pays for not being willing to fight."
The beast man rumbled over to Markus and then started to make his past the man. "If you were here hours ago, you may have had a chance for your heroic rescue. Now? It is up to her if she lives or dies. If you tell the League of the Bloodhunter, the Jester will dispose of her at his own whim. If you try and pursue them, how will you find them in time? If she will not help herself, she does not deserve to live. That is life."
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.

Soraka didn't like the answer Shaco gave her. Her connection with Markus was the only thing keeping her from panicking. When he asked her where he was going she looked up to the sky. The stars were dark, silent. She couldn't find any constellations to give her any clues as to where they were headed.
"I don't know where he is taking me."
Meanwhile at The Starchild's hut, Orion is grateful for Udyr's scratches. A rumble is exerted from his chest, and he rubs his face on The Animal Spirit's arms. He becomes angered when Udyr says that Soraka doesn't deserve to live. He hisses and breaks away from the man's touch.
"NO! She is the only one who deserves to live. I've seen her save more lives that I can count. When my mother died, she saved me and gave me a home. She is my mother now, I need her. Please save my mom, bring her back."
The cruelty of one will not blind me of the suffering of many.

And out of the veil of the night that shrouded the trees and foliage, came out a dark figure from the black trees. It was no other than Irelia herself, wearing her black outfit that blended her with the darkness of the cold night. The only thing that could be noticed was her silver hair that shone under the strikes of the lights that came from the hut.
The Captain was wary of her environment, scanning the deserted perimeter with her emerald gaze, looking for any clues and suspicious traces that could have been left behind after the kidnapping. Her feet sunk in the sand with every step she took as she neared Soraka's hut. Suddenly her sword started to flail and move around in the air, pointing at the lit hut with the tip of every blade. It notified Irelia of an unknown presence inside the small house. She stood over her ground for a few seconds, the glacial wind stinging her face as her cold gaze stared in front of her.
"Markus, is that you?" Said the Captain in an icy tone.
Taking a quick breath after Udyr had finished speaking Markus refused to give up this easily, he may not be able to directly help but there had to be something he could to assist Soraka. But now wasn't the time for that, he heard Irelia call his name and had to get to business. Crossing his arms across his chest he swiftly walked by Udyr.
"Thank you for your help Udyr, but i've still got to try."
Markus was outside the hut at this point and gave a brief salute to Irelia and decided to update her on the situation.
"Captain, she's already long-gone. Udyr suggested that Warwick hired the jester to kidnap Soraka and have her killed while out of the eyes of the league, Shaco's more than likely halfway to Zaun by now with her We need to make a plan."
Using the ring to speak with Soraka telepathically once again Markus sends another message to the starcaller "Just try to stay safe. We'll figure out something, we won't let Warwick have another chance at your life."

With a quick look around, the Captain inspected their dark surroundings cautiously, trying to seek clues that might help them even more but unfortunately, there was not much to look for. The cold air of the sinister night swept across her face as it stung her cheeks with its spiky touch, irritating her soft skin. However, the Captain was too focused on the current situation to feel the effects of the unpleasant air, more important matters were lying in her hands.
The night promised to be long and painful, they had to think about a rescue plan to save The Starchild from the grasps of Warwick. Losing Soraka means that a lot of people who were waiting for her help might pass out as well and thus it will create a disaster as the numbers of illness and death increase. Irelia could not afford the loss of her friend and if that might happen, she will not be able to forgive herself for being so powerless in this situation.
Finally, as she released herself from the abysses of her thoughts, a gleam of hope sparkled in her emerald gaze as she looked into Markus' orbs. Judging by Warwick's plans, the crime would be happening outside of the League's jurisdiction, this would mean that she would have all the rights to assault him since none of the high authorities would stop him nor her. A piercing gaze took over her green eyes as she spoke in a firm and determined tone.
"Considering that the Bloodhunter will try to kill her outside of the League's jurisdiction, we might as well follow them and deal with them with our own hands. Criminals like Warwick and Shaco could only be dealt with by force, and that is my plan. Keep in touch with Soraka and we will head to Zaun in the meantime... Do you have a boat?"
Post by The Animal Spirit on May 1, 2013 11:54:12 GMT -5
"Hours, Irelia," the beast man grunted. "If this were half an hour ago, an hour ago, then perhaps you would be able to sail on a boat and catch up with them in a slow speed chase. You would dock in Zaun, and then what? You would have to make up for the lost time, and even then, how do you know the Jester will take her to Zaun? Do we know if he brought his own ship, or stole one from the docks? Too many assumptions."
Udyr looked over at Soraka's cat and meowed at it. "Mew meow, fft, mew. Fft." (She may have saved your life, but that matters not, as she is not willing to save her own. If she dies she will die, that is life.)
The beast man scratched his chest and made his way out of the hut. "If you can find out where she is being taken, find that information first. Irelia, do not take a ship. You will fail. Go back to the Placidium and request a teleportation from a Summoner to the outskirts of wherever you believe he will be if you truly want to try a half attempt of a 'rescue'."
Udyr would start walking away from the two of them. "We have business we must attend to."
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. Soraka began to panic when the name Warwick was mentioned. Her heart began to race and her breathing quickened. Markus would be able to feel her sudden onset of panic. Though to be honest, she knew this was Warwick's doing. She was trying to deny it, telling herself it was just someone stubborn who needed her help.
Warwick's intentions with Soraka were much more insidious than that. At the very least he would kill her, though he may try to make her suffer while doing so. She could easily imagine him tying her down and cutting her repetitively. She felt a chill run down her spine and she tried her best to shake it off.
"Please hurry Markus. I will help you the best I can. Once we reach land I will tell you everything I see. I'll try to slow Shaco down to give you more time."
Orion couldn't accept what Udyr told him. He grabbed the back of Udyr's clothes with his teeth and pulled as hard as he could. Then he ran in front of Udyr and blocked the door.
"Who says she isn't trying to survive? Her way of fighting is different than ours, but who says she isn't fighting? She wants to live, she is happy here in Ionia. She is a giver of life, nonjudgmental and unprejudiced. Some day you may be injured and need her help. If she dies here you won't have anyone to help you. Go with Markus and Irelia to help my mother."
The cruelty of one will not blind me of the suffering of many.

"She is not your mother," Udyr growled. "She is someone who spared your life. She is not your progenitor, she is not related to you by blood, she can only be associated to you because she is an animal just like the rest of us are. We have no obligations to her and her stupid way of living. If she truly valued survival she would not be so detrimental to her own health such as not hone her senses to detect a Jester with murderous intentions. Any monk worth their salt know how to read murderous intentions, yet there is the Starchild, stubborn and willing to provide help for all when they deserve nothing more than death. The price of her stupidity is the constant state of danger she places herself in compared to someone like us. No one tries to infringe on our life due to the idea of having to combat us. We nullify many more battles than we engage in simply because we exist and we are strong. Soraka is taken and played as a constant fool because of her giving nature. If this world were truly caring, a simple place, her existence would make sense."
The beast man reached over, grabbed the door frame and snapped off an entire section of the wall and door with a loud crack. "It is not simple. She is not your mother, she will be taken advantage of for her supposed 'good nature', and she will pay for it, just as we all will. If she dies because of it, such as life. If we need her aid and she is unavailable, we will deal with our wounds. If it kills us, so be it."
Udyr did not realize that he had said all of this aloud instead of in a feline tongue, meaning both Irelia and Markus could understand him word for word. "We have business to attend to now."
A question that everyone seemed to have forgotten to ask, would be why he was here in the first place. Why was he at Soraka's hut, this late in the night? Markus would remember the fierce burn wounds that Udyr had scratched at on his chest.
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.
Luckily, Shaco failed to notice Soraka's shock, and still continued to navigate through the dark waters. They were making fantastic time, and would be able to reach Zaun by sunrise. That is, if there were no roadblock or diversions involved.
Shaco addressed Soraka once more, checking again to confirm that she was still within his confines. "Soraka, dear. We should be there by sunrise. Don't worry, your questions will be answered shortly..."
"I do, it's on the shore and ready to set off by now, I'm ready to take off when you are captain."
After Udyr's brief speech on once again why Soraka deserved death for her apparent weakness something ticked in Markus getting ahead of himself that Udyr was lightyears ahead of him in strength he charged at him, instantly being sent back on the ground the moment he made contact. Agitated and angry he started shouting at Udyr, clearly the young man did not understand what he just did.
"That's her way of life! HELPING PEOPLE, not a weakness! If anything it makes her a better person than most of us! Willing to give her life simply for the sake of helping people. I'm one of the people she saved and so are you! We owe it to her to at least try and help! You came here to have her heal those burns you had i bet. But if you're so strong and she so weak why seek her out? Maybe you're just SCARED to save her. The danger in it too much for the great Udyr?"
Standing up Markus glared at Udyr with his arms crossed.
"Or is there something else? Why wont you help us, help Soraka?"
Post by The Animal Spirit on May 6, 2013 11:45:34 GMT -5
The beast man did not acknowledge Markus running into his chest. He rolled his eyes the moment the young man started to talk. Once Markus finished his speech and asked his question, Udyr's hand shot out and wrapped his fingers around his neck.
The beast man would lift Markus off the ground, tightening his grip as he growled. "What will you do against us now, by yourself, if there were no one else around to aid you? You would be dead."
Udyr pulled his arm back and then threw Markus, sending the man pinwheeling through the air. "Our burns could be healed by her, or in time. Because of her nature, her 'caring' nature, we can simply ask her to aid us. No matter what is said, no matter what is done to her, she aids all. That is why it is stupid. She lacks any sense of basic survival: If someone tries to harm you, you harm them. What does she do instead? She feels guilty. This entire scenario could have been avoided if she showed the slightest form of assertion."
The beast man cricked his knuckles, glaring at Markus. "Fear is not something meant to be abhored. Fear tells you what will most wound, if not slay you. Courage comes from facing fear without hesitation, without thought. The Jester nor the Bloodhunter elicit fear from us. You, however, will fear you will be too late to aid her. They have had a head start by at least three hours, meaning you are wasting more, and more time speaking to us instead of acting."
Udyr let out a loud snort, rotated his head and walked out the makeshift door he had made. "Stop speaking and act. You wish to save her? Go. Save her. We will not aid you to save her, because it will be a failing endeavor with your strategy in mind. Go ahead and fail. We care not. We, however, have business we wish to attend to." His eyes flicked over to Irelia, gave her a quiet nod, and the beast man moved to take his leave yet again.
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.

Irelia listened closely to what Udyr had to say on the matter, her arms crossed over her chest as her blades reflected the moonlight while they levitated about two feet from the ground next to the Ionian Captain. She stared stoically at both men as they debated about Soraka's life, whether she should stay alive or not. She knew that one could not decide of a person's life, but they can always stop the danger from falling over her and pulling her away from this world.
The Captain's focus faded away from the conversation as she sunk in her thoughts, thinking of a way to save her friend that rescued her life during the Ionian war from the Noxian's dark magic. She owed her something and now was the chance to return the favor to her beloved friend. Suddenly, she took a snap back to reality as their conversation ended.
While she disagreed with Udyr's thoughts and ideas, something seemed to be roaming in his thoughts as well as she gazed into those fearful eyes. Irelia returned the nod as she watched him walk away before looking back at Markus, her emerald gaze fixing his own eyes as she remained quiet and calm, letting the cold silence that reigned over the forest catch up to them.

Soraka furrowed her brows as Shaco spoke. Shaco telling her next to nothing made her nervous of his intentions. She though that maybe she could try and get more information out of him.
"Would I able able to wash up before we meet your master? I have blood in my hair."
She took out her hair clasps and tried to run her fingers through the now dried blood in her hair.
"I don't think your master would enjoy the company of a dirty, bloodied woman."
The cruelty of one will not blind me of the suffering of many.
Shaco turns back towards the Starchild, a look of confusion, something not seen often on the Jester's face, was present. "Blood?" Shaco's eyes glinted in the moonlight as a single eyebrow rose. "Why in the world would you have blood...in your hair of all places?" Grumbling, Shaco gave in. "Yes, you will be able to clean yourself. After all, it won't matter much before...never mind, I mustn't reveal too much! Ohohohohohoho!"
Markus said nothing more to Udyr, he wouldn't be able to convince him to help in saving Soraka so he stood and began the run to his boat, waving to Irelia to follow him. He only hoped his wasting time here hadn't cost them anything in the long run of things, it was time to get focused.
