But no movement came from him. Magic has completely drained energy out of the little one. He calls on a few of his band members to carry little Teo to Yoshi's quarters and sets him down to bed, with a blanket covering him and a pillow for his weary head. Yoshi starts to take out a few books about musical magic and its theories and starts to read on it.
It would take eight hours or so for Teo to rest but Yoshi is sure that he'll wake up by then. Or at least he hopes so...
If Teo ever wakes up, he'll find himself alone in Yoshi's quarters. There's a cabinet filled with books, a desk, a rolling chair, and a closed closet.
Teo tosses and turns in his sleep after a few hours, the overuse of magic also affecting his dreaming. The negative energy created in his body gives him nightmares, enough so that he's in a cold sweat while he sleeps. Eventually the dream calms down and he stops the jerky movements, regaining control of himself. By the time he wakes up it's already in the late afternoon, his eyes opening slowly. He sits up in bed, rubbing his sore eyelids and letting out a long sigh.
Yoshi enters the room with a book in his hand. It's nearly evening and he's hungry for some dinner. He grabs the rolling chair and sets it besides Teo so that he could sit down with him. A worried Yoshi checks Teo's temperature by touching his forehead. Magic is dangerous and Yoshi has to make sure that Teo hasn't exhaust his life force.
Strength in Teo's hug shrivels away quickly, his arms now loosely attached to their positions. The news wasn't anything he'd wanted to hear, but he soon figures that he should've seen it coming. He's never had much luck in his life.
"O-oh... okay. Thank you for the offer, though..."
As if confidence left Teo, Yoshi can feel the strength of the little boy's arms withering away. Leaving a person behind to his forest with nothing to live for...will be heart wrenching...but while he leaves him tomorrow, Yoshi is determined to make sure he gets proper living.
"If you come, that will be great Teo! If you don't come, I'll find you and give you something you love. You may not see me tomorrow, but I will come back. Within about a month from now. And I'll give you the best clothes ever."
Teo blinks, pulling his knees up to his chest. The thought of traveling with the band is just too frightening for the young one. And the animals need him here! What if one of the little birds fall from their nest and can't get back up, or a fox gets its paw tangled in a root, what then?! No, he'd have to stay. He likes it in the forest anyway... right?
"O-oh, um, well, I-I'd go Yoshi, but... I... I can't. I'm needed in the forest! B-but... I... thank you for saying you'll come back..."
