Name: Rose Sonder
Alias: None, as of yet.
Class: Rogue.
Race: Human, white, Noxian.
Age: 20.
Occupation: Student, thief.
Residence: An apartment building in downtown Noxus.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.
Abilities:
Physical fighting
If confronted, Rose will defend herself violently. She's not combat-trained, but she carries a four-inch knife in her coat pocket, which she knows how to use, in an amateur way. She habitually wears a corset under her clothing, which would likely stop most knives.
Magical ability
Rose has not been formally taught any magic, but she was taught some privately by her mother, and does study in her spare time. She has a great untapped power that she hopes to refine- as it is, it's difficult to control, so she hopes to learn more control over time. If she had a very strict teacher, despite her rule-breaking nature, she'd learn quickly enough.
Miscellaneous
If a purse strap is out in the open, and needs cutting, or a wallet needs lifting, you can bet Rose will be there. The person who can notice her hand (if she doesn't want them to notice) is fairly rare, though one wouldn't have to be a professional. In possession of a smooth alto voice, Rose can sing if she's asked- it's clear that she's no professional, but it's pleasant to hear. Due to her tendency to fidget, she has some skill with rope- she can get herself out of a decent number of bindings within three minutes, if she needs to. If her hands are immobilized apart from each other, however, she'll have a much more difficult time, and the attempts would be a lot more obvious than if her hands were together and behind her back.
QWER format and stats
Non-combat passive: Rose's body temperature is much higher than most, reading at a constant 38°C.
Passive: Running Hot - Rose receives an Ability Power buff of 10% for spending more than 300 mana in three seconds.
Q
A shower of sparks emanates from Rose's hands and wrists, dealing 25/40/55/75/90 damage, plus 50% of her AP on hit. They heat whatever they touch to about 500°C before fading away, usually after lasting 0.5 seconds. This has a 3-second cooldown, and costs 100/90/80/70/60 mana.
((For the sake of RP, this skill is on its fourth level.))
W
Rose summons a flame in one or both of her hands, which she can direct to a target. They deal 50/55/60/70/75 damage at a base per second, plus 65% of her AP on hit, and burn at 1300°C. This has a 10-second cooldown, and costs 80/70/60/50/40 mana per second to sustain. The flames will go out if she gets more than 300 range from her target.
((5th level))
E
Rose rips a stream of fire into the air, which bursts in front of her, and passes through non-object targets for 400 range. This costs 250/220/190/150/100 mana, and does 100 damage, plus 75% of her AP.
((1st level))
Ultimate
Rose brings up a ring of fire around herself, which damages enemies within melee range at a rate of 100/200/300 per second, plus 45% of her AP. It costs 100/75/50 mana to activate, and 50 mana per second to sustain, which increases in mana cost each second, up to 100 mana per second after ten seconds.
((Sonder has not learned this skill yet.))
Health – 440 (+70 per level) (Currently at level 10, taking into account her abilities' levels, meaning her health is 1540. This is less relevant to combat RP, but I feel it should be noted.)
Mana – 560 (+30 per level) (My thoughts for this is that her mana reserves are larger because of her untapped base of power- but because she hasn't been well-trained, she probably uses more mana than she should on her abilities, to balance this.)
(Currently at level 10, meaning 860 mana- I'll primarily be using this to ensure that she can't cast spells forever in a combat RP.)
Armor – 0 (With corset, 25- a bit more than Cloth Armor, and a bit less than Chain Vest. Her corset is armored by a thin, fairly flexible metal sewn between the fabric.)
Physical damage – 58 (+3 per level) (Currently at 88, though, again, this is far less relevant to combat RP than her mana pool.)
Relationships:
Rose is pansexual. Given the example of her parents, she's also polyamorous, and any attempts to force or persuade her into monogamy will be met with direct refusal.
Champions
Riven - After her speech, and before siding with the General, Rose had an idealistic appreciation for Riven's ideas- but she has realized now that applying the concepts of honor and justice to Noxus is a foolish thought, and so she holds little respect for the Exile.
Talon - The Blade's Shadow was the catalyst to Rose stepping onto the stage during Riven's speech- his childhood as a thief would make him somewhat relatable, and she'd likely want to help him understand more about emotion if she knew how little he did understand. She knows nothing about him other than who he is and what he said in the speech, but does admire him, and would trust him more readily than most men. Now that she's gone from the side of the rebellion to the side of the General, she'll not reveal her admiration of him to anyone.
Swain - Rose has admired the General since his sudden rise to power, and this admiration persists now. While she fears retribution for her brief phase in the rebellion, she hopes to prove her worth to him, and to show him that she's a loyal citizen.
Draaaaaven - As with most women, Draven flirts freely with Rose, and owes her a small favor due to her willingness to spread information about the Butchering. She called it in once, but it wasn't something he'd be able to fill the way that he interpreted it.
Other Characters
Vergil - Sonder doesn't like Vergil much. They started out on a note of distrust, which had started to fade when he made a very badly-thought-out joke about outclassing her.
Nevin - After a one-night stand, Rose left a note in lipstick on Nevin's bathroom mirror, telling him where she could be found again. The night they met, she'd had a couple of drinks, and revealed a little more information about herself than she'd planned to. While they haven't met again since then, she'd like the chance to- he seemed pleasant enough to warrant a second night, at least. ((Main relationship at the moment- he has become an NPC due to leaving the forums, so he'll be an established background character.))
Daichi Hamamoto - Rose pickpocketed this Ionian one day, and he took her to lunch and told her that, perhaps, the rebellion could be bad for her health. She keeps an eye and an ear out in Noxus for him.
Aliac Opocamimor - Rose's half-sister, though she has no idea Aliac exists as such.
Description:
Physical appearance
Rose stands at 5'9" without her steel-toed boots (and 5'11" with them), and her posture is unusually straight- primarily because of the lightly armored corset she wears most of the time. Her hair is cut short- it's light brown in color, with streaks of white on the right side. A light moss-green, her eyes tend to express how she feels more accurately than her facial expressions, which is why she paints them over so frequently with cosmetics.
Depending on how much attention Rose wants, she varies her style of dress and her makeup. Her legs are solid and strong, as are her arms, and her chest is larger than she would really like it to be- it's ludicrously inconvenient. Rose's face is well-proportioned; her eyebrows point very slightly at the curve, lending to her an appearance of wickedness. She has five ear piercings: three on the left side, two on the other, and the earrings vary based on the occasion she's wearing them to.
A thin, raised line scars the top of her left wrist, and the top of her right ear is ragged, as though from teeth or a boot. A two-inch scar hides under her bangs on the right side of her forehead, and on her right forearm is an inch-and-a-half burn scar. On both hands, she has slight knuckle scarring, from incidents of anger during puberty.
Behavior
Rose tends to be shy about people she doesn't know, especially champions- but once she warms up to people, she's much more open. With friends, she tends to be somewhat brash and outgoing, though she'll become much more reserved around their parents and assorted family.
If she's nervous or thinking, she fidgets, a lot- and she tends to think a lot, as well. Her most typical fidgeting habits are playing with rope or shuffling cards, and she habitually carries a five-foot length of soft, strong rope. Because bundling it and carrying it in her pocket is usually inconvenient, she'll often wear it as a woven bracer on her arm.
When small annoyances pile up onto each other, Sonder may sometimes explode into a brief fit of childish rage- having spent her life as an only child, she hasn't had much of a chance to develop patience. This can be contained easily enough by force of will (depending on how many minor bothersome incidents there were), but it's very apparent when it occurs, and can cause problems.
Biography:
Rose grew up in a normal household in Noxus for most of her childhood- her fathers were both summoners, and her mother was a fairly powerful fire mage. Her school life was fairly normal, until the other students found out about her parental situation- for quite some time, this led to serious bullying, until Rose came to school with a knife. None of the other students were harmed, but she could not go to that school anymore, so her mother taught her the academics she needed at home. After she learned to read, write, and do quite a lot of algebra, her mother tried to teach her a few spells, which is how Rose learned about her power.
Her mother hoped that Rose would follow in her footsteps, with regards to magic, and so she showed Rose how to light a candle. The candle exploded in a massive ball of flame and wax, spattering her mother's hand and face, and leaving scars- not majorly disfiguring ones, but scars, nonetheless. Given the control over fire that her mother held, it's a testament to Rose's power that the flames got through to her in the first place, but Rose sees it as a failure on her part- she was unable to control her magic.
Rose spent much of her puberty seeking out relationships. With the example her parents had given her, she wanted to find something similar- their relationships had been solid and loving, which appealed to the young woman. She had few friends, but those she did have didn't have the best home lives, so she also developed a view of monogamy as something rather toxic to love, and tries to avoid it.
Rose's idea of Noxian strength has always been related to the physical- her mother's fibromyalgia meant that she needed to take care of a lot of things around the house, for which flexibility and strength were useful. The days of her magical training were interspersed with her mother's bad pain days, and so a lot of Rose's potential talent was put aside in favor of caring for her mother. Since moving out, Rose realized how much more useful her magic might prove in seeking work- and as a result of this, her physical strength has deteriorated. This has caused something of a crisis in her self-image, but she's working to improve everything she can.
Significant Events
When she was fourteen, Rose discovered a method for getting a hold of things she liked- small pieces of jewelry, too-expensive snacks, and the like. One day, a vendor downtown saw her take hold of a bread roll- a small thing, worth maybe a copper, but he was very well-known for his cruelty by people out on the street. Since she was living a nice life at home, with two summoner parents and lots of money coming in from their work, Rose didn't know about his mean streak.
Uncertain how to respond when he caught her, Rose offered him sex- she'd learned about it from the kids at school, and knew that sometimes you could get out of things if you offered to give it in return for leniency. The vendor agreed- but as soon as she'd given the roll back, he grabbed her tiny wrist, and brought his cleaver down on it. The next thing she knew, he was smoking on the ground, and the cleaver had stuck two inches past her skin. She wrenched it free, and ran home. Thankfully, one of her fathers was skilled enough in healing to close the wound before she bled out. A scar- a simple, raised line- remains on the top of her left wrist to this day, and she tends to cover it with a sleeve, a rope bracer, or a bracelet of some sort.
