Name: Alexis Lindser
Alias: Mute
Class: Servant
Race: Human, mixed-race (black/white, white-passing), Noxian
Age: 17
Occupation: Servant/Maid
Residence: Swain Manor
Alignment: True Neutral ('I just follow my orders.')
Abilities: Alexis doesn’t have many noteworthy abilities- if she gets in a fight, she can get out of it with about as many injuries as the other guy, but she’s not a fighter with any defined skill. She’s smart, but untaught- circumstances prevented her from attending school, so she only knows how to read and write, and do very basic arithmetic.
Disability: Alexis, as her moniker would suggest, cannot speak. This is a condition which, for her, has existed from birth, for no known reason.
Relationships: Alexis works as a servant to Grand General Swain.
Father (Chris Hartwell) – Does not associate with.
Mother (Martha Lindser) – Does not associate with, but not for lack of trying.
Brother (Howard Lindser) – Missing, presumed dead.
Alexis is pansexual, but doesn’t seek any romantic or sexual relationship at this time. Her attraction to a person is more based on their strength than anything else; she’s accustomed to cruel treatment, and it would not strike her as unusual in a relationship of any kind.
Description: Mute cuts an unassuming figure at 5’4"- her dark hair is kept in a neat ponytail, and her eyes are clear, steely grey. Alexis is far from curvy- her chest is relatively flat, and she’s composed primarily of tendons and bone. Were it necessary, she could pass as male with no trouble.
High cheekbones define the contours of her face, which can be severe when she is angry- but when she smiles, it’s charming to behold. For this reason, her smiles are rare; she has no illusions about those who might take advantage of her voicelessness.
Having been mute for her entire life, Alexis has learned to speak very well with her body language and her expressions. She is very well in control of them in most circumstances; pain, surprise, or fear will not show through unless she either feels safe or cannot control her expression due to its cause.
Biography: Alexis was born to a young woman and a middle-aged man in the poorer section of Noxus. For the first few years of her life, and up until her childhood, things were happy- her mother managed to teach her how to read and write, as well as addition and subtraction. As the years dragged on, however, life between her parents became more and more tense. Her father came home at stranger hours, and one day, there was a confrontation, which Alexis does not remember well.
At the age of 15, Mute became sick of her father and his alcoholism, and ran away, taking her life into her own hands. Not knowing how to do much else besides clean (her father taught her that very well), she started to hire herself out as a maid, and, once she’d received work at quite a few noble houses, she took the risk of applying to work under Grand General Swain.
((This is a very rough bio; I’ll be writing a lot more later. "The Meeting" under the Story board is canon for her character.))
