((Another story about Shyvana's past, this one a bit more recent that the first.))
The night was silent, the only sound that reached Shyvana's ears was the flowing stream nearby. It had been a good day to go out and hunt, the sun had been shining and the air had blown in a southern direction calmly, just barely enough to move the leafs on the tree's around her. The Half-Dragon had managed to track down and killed a rather large buck. The hunting trip had two purposes, the first one was to prevent her hunting skills from disappearing too much and the second reason was to get out of Demacia for a while.
Shyvana had brought only what was necessary with her, not wanting to make it too easy. Her Dragon tooth knife, a bedroll, a journal and some food was all that accompanied her out of Demacia. When Shyvana walked out of the western gates of Demacia, she had began to walk north into a forest that was about thirty minutes away from the gate. Following the road into the forest she soon walked off it and into a more serene part of it.
After sitting between the trees and the animals Shyvana had seen the buck walking through the forest. Luckily for her the wind blew towards her so her scent remained concealed. The animal soon left the area and Shyvana followed slowly behind it, taking cautious steps to not scare it away. The Half-Dragon followed it for a couple of hours, losing it once or twice but managing to track it down again. Soon Shyvana found an opportunity to jump at it, she took it and cut it's throat with her knife.
The darkness came slowly as Shyvana backtracked to where she had left most of her equipment, she had skinned the animal. Bringing it's hide and antlers as well as most of it's meat. The rest she left for the nature to take care off. On her way back to her stuff she walked past a meadow, thinking that it would be a nice spot for a temporary camp she made a mental note to return there. The Half-Dragon soon found her bedroll and bag with supplies and returned to the meadow.
Setting up a fire was no problem for the Half-Dragon, she found some wood and built a nice little fireplace before lighting them on fire. A few hours later the fire was about to die and Shyvana was laying on top of her bedroll, looking up at the stars above. Sighing she looked at the different stars and remembered the stories her father used to tell her. Stories about her mother as well as different humans that he thought it was important that Shyvana knew of. To this day, Shyvana have yet to meet one of those people in the stories. Maybe that's what they were? Only stories, or perhaps they are long gone. Like him.
Shyvana wondered how things would have been if her father was still alive, maybe they'd still be on the run? Or maybe they would have killed the dragon. Her thoughts wandered towards the glowing city not too far away from her, it was teeming with life and happiness. The crackling of the fire calmed her, it was a sound she had longed to hear. After sleeping inside she had began to miss sleeping in the wild under the star filled skies.
Sitting up and looking around her the Half-Dragon could see large tree's and bushes, the homes to various wildlife. The dying fire cast it's light upon the trees closest to it and colored them orange in it's glow. It was a warm glow, a glow that she liked. Laying back down Shyvana saw the moon coming into view between the trees around them.
Today has been a good day, maybe it was time for it to end. She still had to return to Demacia in the morning, so maybe it was time for her to sleep.
"Good night, father." Was the only words Shyvana said before pulling blanket over herself and falling asleep.
