Lore

Fiora, Demacia's most notorious duelist, earned her fame with her sharp blade and sharper tongue. She boasts the refinement of an aristocratic upbringing, and a fierce devotion to the perfection of her craft. Having surpassed her peers at home, Fiora now seeks greater foes. She will settle for nothing less than the world’s acknowledgement of her mastery.

As the youngest child of House Laurent, a family known for its long line of elite duelists, Fiora considered herself destined for greatness. She longed to match the skill of her father, a legendary swordsman, and her talent quickly surpassed that of her siblings. Fiora's peers perceived her confidence as arrogance, but she dismissed them, striving even harder to become a worthy successor to her father. Her devotion turned out to be misplaced. On the eve of an arranged duel, authorities caught Fiora's father slipping a paralysis poison into his opponent's drink. His treachery destroyed the family’s reputation, and Fiora's own honor fell under question. Outraged and desperate to clear her name, she challenged her father to a duel. Though he fought with power and style, Fiora realized the man had long forgotten the discipline that defined a true duelist. She disarmed him, and with her blade to his chest, she demanded control of House Laurent. Her father surrendered, but even in victory, Fiora knew the shadow of doubt still tainted her reputation. Intent to seize her destiny, Fiora vows to surpass her father's false legacy and prove that she is not only the greatest duelist in Demacia – but all of Valoran.

Abilities

"Prepare to die." -Fiora 
Duelist


Fiora excels in battles against a single opponent. As a result, she can pick up on her opponent's weaknesses and fighting style in an exchange or two.


Lunge



Fiora dashes forward to strike her target, dealing damage. Fiora prefers to lunge only as a gap closer, as the damage inflicted is not ideal.

Riposte


Fiora parries the next attack with either her blade or her main gauche (dagger) and uses her opponent's momentum against them.


Burst of Speed


Fiora begins an intricate technique, consisting of extremely fast stabs and jabs. She cannot continue this onslaught for very long, however, for fear of tiring.

Blade Waltz

Fiora dashes around her target, parrying and retaliating extremely quickly. If there are multiple enemies, she can weave in and out of battle, striking at each of them.

Relationship

Jarvan IV: He seems like a proud man--with the weight of the kingdom to carry. Fiora respects him and his title, and picks her words carefully around him. His advisors and bodyguards annoy her.

Liliana Daysworn: Never personally met, but Fiora sees her as a level-headed queen, fully capable of ruling. Her name, however, interests Fiora. She belongs to an extremely old noble house, and Fiora respects that. Her sister, however, is a different matter.

Garen Crownguard: Fearsome on the Fields of Justice, and a paragon of a good Demacian soldier. His style of fighting is uncouth as it gets, however. But not everyone can be a Laurent.

Shyvana: A half-breed, humph. Jarvan must have seen something that Fiora cannot. She is fearsome, true. But monsters are always fearsome, are they not?

Luxanna Crownguard: She is so unlike her brother, but so alike at the same time. Patriotism to the maximum. Tolerable in her quiet moments.

The Laurent Family

Fiora Laurent - Current head of the Laurent family and champion in the League of Legends

Lord Luc Laurent - Fiora's father, and ex-head of the Laurent family. Banished by Fiora, and presumed to be doing time as punishment by the Demacian court

Adrien Laurent - Fiora's younger brother by a margin. Handsome, but personality quickly outweigh his looks---he is cocky and brash, but easily flustered.

Sebastien Laurent - Fiora's older brother, and his father's favorite. He dislikes Fiora for taking control of the family, but knows he cannot outduel her. 

Lady Christelle Laurent - Fiora's mother. Generally more pleasant than the rest of the family, and is very popular amongst the upper echelon of the aristocratic elderly.

Additional Information

Victus did a immaculate job describing some of the weapons available in MS canon. Rapiers are included, if you'd like to get a very succinct description on its uses. The thread is available here. All credit goes to Victus.

Much of Fiora's roleplays will center around Demacia, especially the upper echelon of the aristocracy. As a result, roleplaying with her may require some additional information on the ins and outs of the noble lifestyle. Jarvan's writer did an amazing description available here. Note: I am planning to add my own information into this thread.  All credit goes to Jarvan.

December 23CLE -A Lesson With The Laurents- Fiora invites James 'Marquer' to her estate for a quick introduction to dueling. 
January 24CLE -En Garde at the Demacian Sparring Pits- Fiora visits the Demacian Sparring Pits, and Shyvana 'greets' the Grand Duelist.
Date TBA - Calling for Balance - Fiora embarks on a mission given by Jarvan IV to the peak of Mount Targon. The thread continues in Sun on Their Side.
