This is an attempt at developing Ahri's story when she became a human and it will trace back all of what she went through until the day she joined the Institute of War. For a few seconds, the fox felt as if a rock was crushing its chest as it tried to breathe some air. It felt like its limbs were painfully stretching and a weird feeling overwhelmed it as it stood up on its two legs. Wait... two legs?! The fox immediately looked down and noticed a pair of feet holding its entire body that seemed so different and... big... It was discovering its new stunning features but at the same time, panic attacked its mind. It had no idea what was going on with its body and panic began to gain over its mind as it tried to call its friends for help.
"Heeeelppp!!!"
The fact that the fox just spoke in a language way different than what it was used to hear quickly made it go silent as its newly improved mind began to think quietly as it analyzed the current situation. A few minutes passed and the fox sat down on the ground, its naked body shivering as the wind blew at it. It looked down on itself again and noticed that its fur completely vanished; it began to touch its face, body, legs and arms, finally coming to a realization that it has become a human, and not any human, it has become a female human. She gazed upon the dead bodies that were around her, noticing something different between her and them; it was like they had something over their skin unlike her who was completely naked. The nine-tailed woman slowly crawled towards the man that got his life essence absorbed by her and lightly tugged on its armor, checking if it was his skin or something else. To her surprise, it was not its skin, but what seemed to be a piece of cloth covering its skin... probably to protect it from the cold because a human lacks fur? She looked around at the rest of the men and thought that she should do the same if she doesn't want to end up dying because of the cold winter; So she decided to strip the man from his armor and clothes and wore them. But as you might have guessed, she was really clumsy and had no idea what she was really doing or how to even wear these weird things.
If a person would look at her right now, they'd either think that she's really messy or crazy due to how she was wearing the armor and the rest of the clothes. The front side of the armor was on her back and vice versa and the pants were completely inside out. But it was protecting the woman from the cold so she was comfortable with it and wasn't truly aware that there was a specific way to put on these clothes and equipments. She briefly looked around her and decided to look for her fox friends that she lost track of after this particular event.

The night sky began to dominate above as the woman carried on with her search, still having a hard time walking on her legs as she was still trying to get used to this new form of hers. Still wonders how she looks like, she wanted to see her reflection and know what she truly is.
Her journey took a halt as she heard the familiar voices of her friends coming from her right; She immediately turned to face the specific direction and found two of her friends standing side by side staring at her... But she was not able to recognize who they were, and things only got worse as she tried to speak to them but they kept looking at her as if they didn't understand what she told them. Her heart started to beat faster as the seeds of doubt slowly grew in her mind. She knelt down and reached out for one of the foxes.
"Are you... afraid of me?"
The foxes stared at each other before they started running away from her, leaving her alone in the middle of the forest under the dark veil of the night. Tears began to roll down on her cheeks as she came to a realization that they were not able to recognize her, and that she is not part of their world anymore. Her wish of becoming a human may be true now, but she lost everything she used to have before and is left with nothing at all; she had to begin from scratch and start a new life like a new born child. Pain took a grasp of her heart as she kept crying while her tears drowned her eyes entirely, blurring her view as she curled and laid down on the ground while her sad cries filled the air around her..

It was an obscure night, empty and shallow, just like the black sky that had its stars seized away by the shady clouds that wandered around. Is there anyone out there? Will somebody hear the Vixen's cries who was losing herself in her tears and despair? The only sound that spread across the woods was hers and nobody was there to hear her begging and call for help... The woman curled in a ball as she tightly hugged her knees and sobbed quietly as she covered herself with her tails, protecting her from the raindrops that slipped out of the dark clouds and crashed on the ground.
The night was cold...
The sun began to rise up at horizon as the clouds kept on pouring their tears. The fox-lady was entirely soaked and her tails were entirely damp as they could not protect her anymore from the clouds' tears. She opened her eyes and looked around her. She was shivering, her nose was running and she felt a terrible fever taking over her as she remained on the ground, weak and frail. Her ears however, caught a particular noise coming from the east. She did not know what it was, but it sounded like those were some humans coming closer and closer to her. She lifted her dirty tails from her figure and looked to her right, noticing a little child running up to her. As he closed the distance with the woman, she quickly backed off and stayed away from the child, a look of fear washing over her features as she gazed at the human being who stood before her.
The little child's mother was way behind, but she remained in the vixen's vision. The little boy looked at her curiously while she remained cautious of him, she was unsure what to do: Should she run or try to communicate with him? She didn't even know if he would understand her at all. She remained on the ground as she carefully scanned the boy's figure before quickly backing off as he pointed his finger at her as soon as his mother got closer to them.

Ahri... Ahri? The sound of the word rolled in the Vixen's mind like a windmill as she said it over and over again within herself. It was an odd yet beautiful sound that she could not really understand the meaning of, and her tongue just mimicked the gestures behind her closed rose lips as she gazed at the child with her graceful aureate eyes. The mother held her child by the hand and looked over the elegant Vixen, who was in a poor and murky state.
The woman was donning an Ionian attire that was typical among the villagers of the southern lands. The dress was dyed in a luxurious pink colour, with a hint of silver and some glitter across the fabric. Different types of Ionian flowers were drawn on it, and the Fox was able to easily recognise every single one of these beautiful jewels of nature. It was even more colourful than the rainbow, a mix of beauty and Ionian melancholia that any gaze could feast upon for eternity. It was of an unmatched beauty and grace. Her emerald eyes perfectly complimented the attire along with her soft pale skin that seemed to be as smooth as silk. The woman was simply a divine figure among the humans to the Vixen's eyes.
The mother glanced at her son and gazed back at the Fox, admiring her with a bright smile as she claimed with an amicable emphasis in her whisper.
"Indeed, she is quite beautiful..."
The woman took a silent step forth, extending her hand to the Fox as she knelt down on the jade grass and murmured.
"You look like you could use some help my darling... Are you lost? We could always let you into our humble home."
The Fox lifted her gaze up as her golden eyes met the emerald gaze of the woman. She was simply fascinated by the woman's beauty and felt a warm aura embrace her soul as the woman spoke to her. Her voice was like a siren's melody, and it comforted her to hear it. She was muttering the word help and home quietly behind her lips before she looked back at the woman finally attempted to speak.
"A... h-home? I...Y-yes, I-I would like a home..."
She was still startled, not really knowing what is their home and where could it be. As she expressed her thoughts, the Vixen looked away at the beautiful tall trees that were adorned with various exotic fruits. It was the first thing her eyes noticed and she realised that she was quite hungry. Her stomach let out a shy growl before she quickly placed her hands over it and listened to the woman's chuckle as she glanced back at her. The woman held her hand and said.
"Do not worry, you are safe with us. And since you seem to be hungry we will even prepare for you some food."
Her ears twitched as she listened to the woman. Her words finally let a smile curve on the fox's tender lips who wrapped her delicate fingers around the woman's hand and nodded as she stood up, slightly struggling due to the cold she caught during that cold and sinister night. The mother grabbed her son's hand as well and looked at the Vixen.
"If you ever wondered what Ahri means, it means beauty in ancient Ionian. And my son is right, you truly are beautiful."
And so, they began to tread towards the village, walking through one of the majestic woods of Ionia.

Day 2:
A new day showed its face as the sun rose up from beyond the azure horizon, smiling upon the naturally gifted soil of Ionia. The trees, animals, and flowers were bathed in the majestic golden beams of the Sun as the warm temperature began to rise up in the atmosphere, chasing the cold away as it settled down for the time being. Birds sang together in a blessed chorus that filled the air with joy and happiness, waking the animals up from their sleep. The villagers were no exception, they got up from bed and went out to work and earn their payment.
The village was not too big, however its architecture was breath-taking for such a small living area. The cherry blossom trees perched above the houses as they sheltered them from the searing heat of Sun's rays. The roads were not paved like any bigger city such as the Placidium, but they were well organised and managed. It gave out the impression that the villagers placed their efforts and time to give this place a beautiful image that would amaze any visitor.
In one of these lovely and cozy houses, lied the Nine-Tailed Fox, sleeping on a bed that was offered to her the day she was found in the woods. Her tails were finally cleaned up as well as her body. She was glowing, no sign of dust or dirt rested on her figure as she was covered by her own frost tinted tails, keeping her warm and comfortable from the night's cold embrace. The sun entered the room from the little window, lightly tapping the Vixen's eyes as if it was whispering to her to wake her up from her deep rest. The Fox briefly frowned as she faced the opposite direction, before she slowly opened up her beautiful aureate eyes and gazed around, letting a cute, high-pitched yawn escape her sweet lips.
She took a deep breath, and let her lungs embrace the pure air that surrounded her before her nose caught the delicious smell of soup that was being prepared for her. Her tongue slithered across her pink lips as she smiled. She was quite hungry, especially after such a good sleep in a comfortable place; It was a blessing from the gods to have stumbled upon that child and his mother. However, another form of hunger was building up inside of her, a hunger she herself could not explain but it seemed to be gaining over her mind, slowly, carefully. She shook her head and wiped away these mysterious thoughts before she stood up and made her way to the living room, where she was greeted by the woman, her son and the father. They all turned around and gazed at her beauty as she stood there before the mother finally spoke to her. "Ah! You are finally awake darling! Please, come along, we are going to have breakfast and we prepared some delicious meat soup!"
The Vixen simply smiled as the little child held her hand and led her to the kitchen, where they all sat down and waited to be served by the mother. The scent was strong and ecstatic. She could barely hold herself due to the fact that it seemed really delicious. As her own bowl was placed right in front of her, the Fox simply leaned down and began drinking the soup with her tongue, not knowing that she could use the spoon. The three others stared at her, slightly confused of her behaviour before the woman held the spoon that was beside Ahri and simply told her with a friendly tune in her voice. "Dear, use this to drink your soup. It is much easier, here, I will show you how to do it."
The woman dipped the spoon in her bowl and lifted it towards the Fox's tender lips, mimicking the action of opening her mouth in order to give it to her. The Vixen slowly opened her mouth and tasted the soup from the spoon for the first time. It was something weird for her, but nonetheless, the taste had not changed and she assumed that it was in their standards to eat with such a bizarre object. It was her first step into becoming a human: Adapt to society and its standards.

Ahri let out a satisfied sigh as soon as she finished her soup, still savouring whatever taste was left on her tongue before she took a deep a breath and slowly exhaled out the air she embraced. The little child hopped off his chair and grabbed the fox's hand, pulling her outside of the house to let her visit the village. It was a flourishing community, and the neighborhood bore an infinite amount of colours that could only warm the visitors heart as they are left in awe. The vixen's golden orbs gazed around her, admiring the beautiful scenery while the soothing melody of the birds appeased her mind and her soul. She was not paying attention to the stares of the people who could not believe what they were saying... Such beauty, such glamour and elegance all in one fox-like woman, where did she come from? How did she end up being like this? People had so many questions but they would not dare to talk to this woman.
The little child however, took note of their gaze and looked at Ahri, arching his eyebrow as he asked her. "Don't you mind all of these people looking at you foxy lady?" His voice was filled with a hint of curiousity, he wanted to know what the fox thought of all of this attention that people were giving to her. The vixen looked down at the child and didn't really know what to say, she was still afraid of communicating in their language, afraid of making a fool out of herself and breaking up her secret that she became a human not less than twenty four hours ago. But she had to make the first step, she had to push herself onward and break the barrier of fear... Silence reigned around them as she focused and murmured to the little boy with her alluring voice. "I... Do not... know... I do... not really... mind it...." Her voice was really slow as she tried to get used to this new feature she gained, the whole sentence broke up into several pieces as she tried to speak... Perhaps she needed to practice...
The little boy nodded as he let out a chuckle, noticing the hesitations in Ahri's voice. As they continued to wander in the beautiful village, the boy looked down at the dry soil of the pathway and asked her "My name is Iaruno, what is yours? And where do you come from?". Ack, name? What was a name? And where she came from? Ahri was puzzled and panicking even though on the surface she cracked a smile. Quick, quick, say something Ahri, anything, get yourself out of this mess! The fox pondered as she tried to look for any random word she could pull out and suddenly said with an enthusiastic voice to cover up her panic. "Ahri! Y-yes... name... Ahri! I... live... in forest..." The boy tilted his head as he gave Ahri a blank stare before bursting in a loud laughter. Oddly enough, Ahri felt slightly comfortable when she heard the boy laughing and let out a giggle of her own to accompany his lovely and cute voice. The boy tried to calm himself as he looked back at her and said "I never knew I guessed that your name was Ahri the first time I saw you! It literally means beautiful in ancient Ionian! And it reflects perfectly who you are and how you look like!" A big smile emerged on the boy's thin lips as he gazed at the woman with his cute little bubbly blue eyes.

"It is... You... have guessed... right..." She spoke as her golden eyes met his own. But it was not just her beauty that caught the people's eyes, it was her odd outfit that she got off the body of the man that took a grip of their attention. The boy seemed to have noticed that as he overheard their whispers and gossips and knew that the news was eventually going to reach his mother that was taking care of the odd fox lady. But there was something that was striking him about her, something related to those tails and fluffy ears. Iaruno observed the Vixen's tails as they wandered about behind Ahri as they continued to walk down the main street, before making a u-turn to go back home for lunch. Perhaps he should keep his questions for later, she did seem slightly uncomfortable around him and the other people.
Once they have reached the household, the mother greeted them both and invited them to the table where they got ready for lunch. As the boy predicted, the words spread out like a wild fire and reached his mother who decided to make a little surprise for the Fox lady. The food finally made it to the table and Ahri savoured once more the delicious Ionian cuisine that was offered to her so generously. The mother softly smiled as she watched Ahri, waiting for her to be done before she stood up and made her way to her, tapping her on her shoulder before she leaned in and said. "Darling, I have a little surprise for you that might make you happy."
The curious fox tilted her head as she asked with a timid voice, "Surprise...?". The woman nodded as she helped her up and guided her to the bedroom where she had left a beautiful Ionian attire laying on the bed, made specifically for Ahri herself. The woman carried the dress off the bed and unfolded it in front of Ahri, letting the Vixen admire the splendid display and design of the dress that was hand made by the mother herself. Her golden orbs grew wide, her pupils expanded over her iris as the light that came through the window made them flicker and gently sparkle.
"I have made this specifically for you dear, I thought it would suit you perfectly and compliment your curves, go ahead and try it."
The dress switched hands from the mother's to Ahri's as she handed it to her. The Vixen gazed in awe at the dress as she tried to figure out how to wear this pretty clothing. Her gaze shifted from the dress to the woman's eyes as she asked her hesitantly, "H-how do... I... wear this...?". The woman chuckled as she took a step closer to the fox and said, "Here let me show you how, don't forget to tell me if you like it or not and if you feel comfortable in them."
