Jarvan IV sits in his quarters writing letters to both Lux and Victus. With the recent void instances all of the city states need to be united and sharing any information they have amongst each other.
To my dear friend Luxanna Crownguard,
I am sure you are aware of the threat the void poses on Demacia much less all of Valoran. I am sending you to Bandle city to see what good you can do there. Help out the people and learn anything you can about how to defend ourselves from the sure to come onslaught.
Victus Brightblade shall accompany you on this journey as a bodyguard. He will protect you and assist you in anyway you need. You will depart first thing tomorrow morning. Good luck.
Sincerely, Prince Jarvan Lightshield IV
To Sir Victus Brightblade,
I am in need of your help against the threat of the void. I will be sending Lux to Bandle city and you will escort her there. You are to listen to every command she has. But most importantly, you are to prevent her from receiving any sort of injuries.
You two will leave at the break of dawn tomorrow morning. I trust that you are more than capable of bringing Lux to Bandle city and back home safely.
From, Prince Jarvan Lightshield IV
Jarvan seals both of the letters with the Lightshield crest and writes their names on each. He stands from his chair and hands off the letters to the courier waiting by the door. "Deliver these immediately"
"Yes my Lord" The Courier then leaves Jarvan's chambers and to the homes of each of the recipients.

Victus was in Brightblade's City Manor armory, re-sharpening his blade after a spar with another knight. His armor was on a rack next to him. A older voice is heard from down the hall.
"Victus! Grimcleaver! Where are you?"
"In the armory, Tiberius." Victus replied.
A 5'6", grey haired man entered the room. He worn the black and red tunic of Brightblade House, carried a longsword on his hip, and leaning on a cane. He had a stiff leg and was missing a pinky finger from his right hand. Tiberius was once a proud Demacian warrior, but that had been years ago, and his body would no longer lead the charge. He would not have even been inn the city had he not been called by the Silverheart House to deal with negotiations for a new trade agreement.
"Did you put Marcus in the medical wing again, Victus? Swain's feathery ass, you are an expensive teacher." (You know I couldn't resist.) Tiberius said with a joking scowl.
"The pup needs the pain to teach him, but not today. Today, he runs in Plate. A couple of guards have bet he would not last the hour. That was thirty minutes ago. My blade is dulled on another Knight's plate. We exchanged bruises and nothing more. I am still waiting for Jarvan to give me my orders."
"Our Prince right?" Tiberius was reaching into his tunic for a letter.
"Yes, though I doubt Prince is the right word in my case, given my ties to Freljord."
Tiberius produced the letter and handed it over. It was still sealed, so Victus tore the seal and read it.
"I leave with the dawn to babysit a mage."
"Sounds like easy enough work. Don't complain."
"I wouldn't but for the fact this keeps me away from Freljord. I have heard rumors..."
"That the Void is coming? C'mon! Freljord is worthless."
"It is the Home of the-" Victus snarled defensively.
"-of the Tactically Worthless Snowstorm. No food. Harsh conditions. Even Icthacia is a better launching place for an invasion. Less trouble." Tiberius snipped.
"It does not matter, for I am heading South with the Dawn. Please send word to the Prince I am aware and on task. Also inform Luxanna Crownguard that I will meet her at her manor in the morning.'
"Good news for Marcus." Tiberius said as he made mental note on what letters he was drafting.
"Bad news for Marcus. I told him to only stop running when I told him to. I want to see if the pup's spine is stronger than his bite."
Lux sits on her chair, looking extremely bored. A book sat in front of her, on a desk. A room with a candle. She felt not the need to light up room herself, feeling lazy. Studying the guide was the last thing to do. She already knows how to do most of this? Why is she instructed to read all this stuff when she knows how to do it anyway?! Ugh..
Whatever.
Not looking at the book, she looks around the room. This was her quarters, in the Crownguard Mansion. Her bedroom is lined with the finest materials. Fine silk, and the best crafted wood carvings which was the stuff of legends.
But this did not appeal to her, she just wanted to go outside, have fun. Being one of royal blood was a boring job. At least to Lux it was. Looking around the room, she hears a knock on the door. The sheer unexpectedness of this made Lux jump, before she looked at the door and said "Uh, Come in."
A servant comes in. She saw something glint in the hands of the servant with the sound of paper rustling. "Miss Crownguard, please. A letter came in from the Prince. Please, read it. It looks of importance." "Thank you, please, hand it to me."
The letter had the seal of Demacia, proof that it was Demacian.
Reading the letter, she wonders where Victus will meet with her...
Either way. The Shadow Isle's seem very random... Why not the Void?

Another knock came to the Crownguard. This was not made by a fist, but something wooden and sturdy.
When a servant answered the door, he would be greeted by an older noble (as made clear by his Black and red attire) leaning on a cane held by a pinky-less right hand. He held a letter in hand and was visibly sweating.
"Greetings, I would like to meet the young Lady Crownguard. I bear a letter that is for her hands only."
The servant called out to Lux. With messy hair, she came down. Seeing the Noble, she ran through her hair a couple of times, still tired.
"Oh, hello. Is this.. from.. who? Well, thank you, for your letter. I will open it immediately and keep it secretly."
She tells her servant to go take a break. The overexcited servant hastily walks out. Breaking the seal after closing the door and thanking the noble, she pulls out the letter and reads it.

"I am Tiberius Brightblade, Baron of the Northeastern Coast, and am the lord of one Victus Brightblade, Oathsworn of both Tryndamere and Prince Jarvan Lightshield the Fourth. Victus asked me to send this letter to you. I know I should have sent a servant or ridding a carriage, with my leg acting as it does since Kalamanda, but I was lacking a carriage and wanted to meet our brightest mage. Forgive me, my dear, but you are radiant. The blitz-net images do not do you justice, Luxanna. May I call you Luxanna?" Tiberius stated as he handed the letter over.
"Forgive an old man of his rambling, but with all my sons running about, running my land, and Victus doing mercenary work, there are few willing to sit and chat with an old warhorse with a bum leg and mangled hand." He added as he placed both hands on his cane to put more weight off of his injured leg.
The letter read as follows:
Dear Lady Crownguard,
I have been assigned to escort you to Bandle City. I would be giving you this letter myself, but I am gathering supplies for the trip. As you are no doubt aware, we leave with the morning sun. I will be at the Crownguard manor at dawn with the supplies.
Lux blinked at Tiberius. "Oh, well. Hello Tiberius. Please call me Lux." She opened the letter, looking at he note and seeing the short letter. 'Well isn't that dandy! This Victus person- No, wait, I know him..
Well anyway, I can't believe I have to get a ..what do they call it? 'MEAT SHIELD!' I can handle myself..'
She though in her mind. She looked toward Tiberius. "Thank you, Though, I notice your leg..." She looked at it curiously. "Is there anything I can do to actually heal it? It looks painful.."

"Victus is the strongest warrior I have under my command. He will keep you safe. He is rough around the edges and a poor conversationalist, but honorable and steadfast.
Thank you for the offer, Lux, but I do have healers at Brightblade who have been trying to heal the injury. I think the exercise is good for it. Don't worry yourself about it. A little limp won't stop me from doing my duties. Fare thee well on your quest."
