The most commonly used gate of Demacia is the Eastern one. Every day many people enter and leave through here. Because of the recent events security in the city has increased. No one is to enter or leave without being inspected first. The number of guards patrolling the streets has been doubled, and a curfew has been placed.
Jarvan stands proudly at the gate fully clad in his golden armor. He strategically places guards at different parts of the city, most of which are at the East gate. "I want constant patrols in all districts. Archers will be placed there, inspectors will be placed there." He points at various parts of the wall and ground. "Keep the lines orderly and separate, do not let anyone pass without being searched. Keep a list of all the names of people who enter and exit."
"Yes my lord" All of the guards present move to their assigned positions.
Jarvan stands up straight with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He awaits any other guards who show up so he can assign them a role.

"Yes, my Liege!"Lucas said. Honestly, he didn't like gate duty very much. What do you do with your feet all day? Not like he didn't understand, there was need for extra security, and Lucas knew why he was here. He was light infantry, And the hold-ups would be bad enough, they didn't want to scare off potential visitors, let alone emissaries. Whatever, he had a job to do. He shouldn't be complaining. The prince came directly to order the guards, that should say enough. "Good-evening, I'm sorry, but I'll have to ask your name before you enter. Royal Edict." He would be saying this, a lot.

Gillam stood at the gate, waiting for the young ranger to appear. He would sort out whether Miles could show up as well, but as for now, he was expecting Valerian. He assumed Miles would be perfectly fine in combat, as he had seen him fight at the boating shop. However, he wanted to know what this boy was capable of before asking too much of him.

Wukong made his way up to the eastern gate of Demacia with his staff rested across his shoulder and one hand holding it loosely. He'd been journeying for some time, and hadn't really paid Demacia any mind given how many other fun and exciting places there were to see in Runeterra! Not to say Demacia wasn't fun! Okay maybe it was a bit stifling. But Wukong was sure he could make things interesting for the city!
He'd stop outside the gate and grinned widely to the guards, "Such a nice city!" He said with that typical jovial air about him, "So big, too! Do they have peaches that match mine? I bet not! So I brought some along for King Jarvan, and his son!"

The guards sighed, and one of them walks towards Wukong. G'evening. Guess there's no point in asking your name. Demacia's under increased security at the moment, so I got to ask the commander if I'm actually allowed to let you in. Are you fine with waiting here?

Jarvan was starting to get bored with standing at the gate and started to consider returning to the palace. He then notices the familiar fuzzy figure approaching the gates and walks to meet him. "No need Sir Brightshield, we can trust Wukong." The prince walks up to the Monkey King and places a hand firmly on his shoulder. "What brings you to Demacia, haven't you heard of the recent dangers?"

"You have to ask!?" Wukong said with a puzzled look, "There is nothing to fear from the Monkey King! Unless you challenge me! Then we'll fight and I'll win because I'm the greatest!"
When Jarvan arrived and placed his hand on Wukong's shoulder, the cheeky smile grew widely, then slowlly waned. "Huh? What dangers?" Itching at his head a bit as his curiosity perked. The smile returned again as he straightened a bit, slapping his fist against his chest, "There is no danger if I'm here, Prince Jarvan!"

"Yes, don't worry. I am Gillam Dunwall, and I am waiting for one named Valerian. We were going to do some training outside of the city." Gillam awaited the Royal Edict's response.

Valerian was running late, as usual, but not the inconsiderate kind of late- but rather the trying-to-do-better kind of late. He was wearing his shades to hide his insomnia, still reeling from withdrawal but sober nonetheless.
He showed up at the East Gate beside Gilliam, his longbow and quiver of arrows on his back. He was eating the last of a large ham sandwich, and realized how awful he must have looked awful. He wolfed down the last morsel and cleaned himself up. "I'm... I'm here. Sorry. Rough night. That herbal tea does that... Well, I'm here now. What are we up to?"

Valerian I presume? Do you have a last name? I'm sorry, we have to check. ((A royal edict is a decision made by the royal family.)) I don't think there's going to be any problem in letting you two out. Just be back before sunset.

"Valerian... Valorheart." He said, reluctantly. He didn't want to brag anymore, about how he got silver in the recent Archery Nationals; such achievements were overshadowed by the scandals surrounding his name. He was here simply as a man trying to regain his honor, in the eyes of family and country.
"...I'm... not really a soldier, I'm more an athlete, but... I suppose I should start using sir?"

Lucas blushed a little, ofcourse he heard of that name. But, he was on duty, no bothering athletes. "Alright Mr Valorheart, Mr Dunwall. I'll be right back." Lucas walked to the gate tower, knocked, went in, had a conversation with the commander, and came back. "I don't think there's a problem. Just be back before 7 PM, there's a curfew." Lucas went back to the gate. Having little other to do than watching who he assumed to be Wukong-can't exactly mistake that, right?- And Jarvan meet each other.
