Name: Anemone Aglaia
Alias: Nene
Class: Summoner
Race: Ionia
Age: 20
Occupation: Bronze Summoner
Residence: Institute of War
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Abilities:
Anemone possesses little in the way of abilities, being only passingly capable of performing her duties as a Bronze ranked summoner. More often than not, she is in charge of controlling a minion due to her reasonably short attention span. She is skilled enough to summon Champions to the fields but very rarely trusted to do so.
Her skill with Summoner Spells such as Ignite and Barrier is lackluster to say the least, the only one of particular merit she ever managed to find true skill with having found its use swiftly discontinued, the "Promote" Spell. The rest of them require more focus than she finds herself capable of devoting unless in the most dire of circumstances or when actively engaging in a battle on the Fields of Justice.
The only thing she has ever credited herself as being 'good' at are physical activities, be it dancing, running, gymnastics, fighting or the like. She's capable of defending herself with her fists and is relatively strong for her stature but lacks the skill of a trained warrior.
However, if something should happen to catch her fancy, she is capable of devoting herself to perfecting whatever it is. This has never once actively been used or even noticed by herself or others, due to the strange nature of what she finds interesting. Were it capable of being harnessed, it would likely turn her into a frightening force in whatever field she devoted herself to.
Relationships:
Anemone has always been a fairly social girl, flitting from one group to the next and both making and losing friends without a moment's hesitation. Because of this, she's never been one to pinpoint a single individual as a friend in greater standing than any other and keeps few people close for long.
Of note is her relationship with her parents. While she enjoys visiting them, she feels constrained by their expectations of her, wishing she had been allowed to make her own choices for her future instead of being pressed to choose a profession of particular prestige.
Description:
Anemone is a slight girl of extremely mixed heritage, Ionian only by virtue of being born upon the island state. Her pale skin is dotted with muted freckles, particularly prevalent around her nose and much more noticeable if she has been in the sun for a while. Her smiling face is framed by short and straight red hair, making her bright blue eyes stand out brilliantly, even if they rarely remain in one place for longer than a few moments.
She prefers shorts to skirts and loose fitting tops to restrictive formal attire whenever possible, with how frequently she finds herself bounding around. She of course has standard issue Summoner robes, trimmed to match her station in bronze. When not stuffed away in her robes, she very much looks as one would expect so energetic a girl to look. Due to her recent training, she does frequently find herself looking more the part of a mage, though her predisposition toward fashion tends to shun her work attire when not upon Institute grounds. Her body has enough muscle to be visible while not making her seem as though she is constantly lifting weights and training for some world-ending battle with the forces of evil.
She is of both average intelligence and social skills, even if she finds herself avoiding the intricacies of deeper conversation more often than not. She is acutely aware of what happens around her, ever observant for the next enjoyable thing to catch her whimsical attention. Despite her general air of whim and want, she is capable of devoting herself to things she finds intriguing enough, though they rarely overlap with what society wishes from her, known to spend countless hours perfecting completely unimportant skills simply because they fascinate her.
Biography:
Anemone was born to parents of mixed nationality in a small, nondescript village in Ionia, raised there by the two of them in a caring environment for several years. The three found themselves living a very normal life, Anemone taking her time as a child to be a child as much as she could. Her desires seemed to shift every six months, sometimes beating her friends in whatever small game she had most recently played, other times spending time reciting tongue twisters with unnerving fluency.
None of this ever occurred to her parents as a particularly enthralling aspect of her personality, content to let her childhood be as carefree as she wished it, requiring little of her in their primarily self-sufficient lifestyle. As she grew older, about thirteen, her tastes grew to be more realistic. Her parents managed to scrape together the funds to fuel her willingness to learn how to dance, sending her out into the world to learn how. Her desire quickly passed as she learned that it was not quite as carefree a system as she had expected and found herself back with her parents not six months later.
Another year passed, and she found herself promising her parents that a stint out abroad in search of her passion would not go astray, and that her previous mishap was but a mistake. They relented and yet again she found herself back with her parents once more, knowledge of various things half learned in her mind, be they quick stints as a circus performer, a gymnast, performer or otherwise.
Her parents were not so willing when she cried for one more chance at age sixteen, pushing her off to the Arcanum Majoris to learn to be a summoner. She hated it, but had no choice, this time, knowing full well that she would not be welcome to return if she was not a summoner when she showed up. Her progress was slow, her wildly shifting attentions preventing her from excelling or even succeeding at a normal rate. Finally, shortly before her twenty first birthday, she was given her bronze robe and allowed into the ranks of the Institute proper.
