((Well... First post. Let's see how that works. Probably this Journal will be updated with new logs using the "reply" function to show updates in Ryze's past. The Journal is not arranged in a chronological order though once I'll get enough pieces I'll list it with links in this main post. But before I get ahead of myself, the first article.))

"I've finally achieved access to the Institute's resources and facilities under the condition that I use them in my research of lost magic. I've received help from various individuals but none were as helpful so far as the Gem Knight, Taric. I continue to find information as the time passes though I should tread with care. This kind of information is hidden to many for a reason. I'll be recording information within these pages about my search for knowledge and magic."

"I've come upon a particularly interesting tome that suggest of some kind of "sand mages". While today's geomancers can control earth and sand they still lack some abilities that these special "sand mages" had. This tome tells of magic users who used the sand to make themselves invisible to the naked eye, to cause quicksand to appear just about anywhere and even cause incredible sand storms that would last for days! This kind of knowledge interests me though I do not mean to leave for the desert just yet. I have little to no knowledge about the origins of these "sand mages" nor do I have the knowledge if the information is even real. Nonetheless, this discovery excites me."

"I've heard of an incident that happened in the league's "Twisted Treeline" field today. A tree coming to life. That may have some kind of forbidden magic hidden within though I doubt that the institute would let me inspect the case. That wouldn't stop me, not forever at least."

"I've came upon a summoner who witnessed the happening in the "Twisted Treeline". The tale was shocking. I couldn't think of anything else other than Rune Magic that could have awakened the tree. It appears that either side effects from the rune wars still occur or that someone may have practiced the art. I believe the former though who am I to tell? In any case, I'm still craving to study the treant but I will have to be patient. I've found another tome concerning the "sand mages" but most of it is written in code. I'll have to crack it whole before I can write more about it."
