Jayce managed to recover after a few minutes had passed, but the crystal, his lab, everything was in ruin, and most of all, the prominent Zaunite inventor was gone. He dug his face into his hands, a few tears soaking up in his leather gloves. The Parliament was going to come with serious punishment for losing the crystal, and most of all, exposing it to Zaun.
Just the very thought made him shudder. He had to do something to retaliate, but how? In his current condition, he could do nothing against Viktor. Hopefully, Parliament will be able to take action, but for now he should at least wait for Caitlyn to arrive at the scene of crime.
He stood up and dusted some of the rubble off his stained lab coat, and rearranged some of his furniture back into place. The door closed automatically, and everything seemed normal save for the huge gaping hole in his wall.
He pulled out his electronic notepad, and immediately started scribbling blueprints out, whilst waiting for the Sheriff to arrive.
