Ability

Skilled Ninja and thus able to hide in shadows and preform skilled acrobatics.

He is also skilled in a variety of Ionian weapons, but prefers the kyoketsu-shoge (rope and dagger) and kusarigama (Sickle and chain similar to Thresh, but a weight instead of a Lantern) for their exotic nature. He also carries a Tanto (Ionian dagger) for closer surprise encounters.

Shadow Abilities:

Shadow's Clarity- Minoryu enters a state of calm and moves more gracefully and quickly while dodging attacks for 3 seconds. 12 second CD

Bound in Shadow- Minoryu marks the ground with a shadow patch about 2 foot wide. If an enemy steps on this darkened area, shadow chains will rise up and bind the target for two seconds. 20 seconds CD

Shadow Walker- Minoryu blinks a short distance away between shadows, leaving a shadow clone behind. He can teleport back to the clone once within 5 seconds. Range of 10 feet, 20 sec CD from when he dissipates the clone.

Shadow Reaper- Minoryu churns the shadows with his kusarigama, creating a 20 foot wide maelstrom of shadow energy. This field is difficult to move through, resulting in a moderate slow, and deals moderate damage for 5 seconds. 200 seconds CD


Connecting Shadows (Non Combat)- In rare cases, Minoryu will need clear a larger distance quickly. If he knows his destination well (i.e. is there regularly and knows he won’t appear in something), he can channel for three seconds and teleport to the destination. This is extremely draining and can only be used once a day, taking a 10% slow for the remainder of the day unless he sleeps for a full night. Range- one mile to select locations.


Relationships

Shen- Stubborn and conservative, he clings too tightly to the old ways.

Akali might relent and join the shadows, but it is not Minoryu’s place to convert her.

Kennen- Fresh meat for one of the order's dogs.

Zed- practical and possessing foresight. One who is not afraid to do what is necessary to ensure the Order’s success. A paragon of what a Ninja should be.

Diana- Potential ally, but wary of us. Can't blame her for being careful.

Swain- Has the mindset for the order, but not the ideals or morals. He simply wants power. He has much of it, and thus an alliance is useful.

Skylark- Waiting for her to fuck up.

Hair is black and thin. Eyes are dark brown. Thin muscular build, about 5’5".

Minoryu is a thinker. He is often quiet and introspective. He will hold his opinions until the end of the discussion, speaking to find flaws in thought or purpose of those in discussion.

Minoryu often meditates on the mountain peak where Zed first converted him. The process serves to help Minoryu reflect on what he has done and what paths lay before him. He can spend a full week in meditation.


Biography

Minoryu was a faithful Kinkou. Born and raised to fight for balance as an Agent of Twilight, but when Zed found the box of shadows and used it to defeat Shen, he questioned it. How can a technique be against balance?

Minoryu left the order shortly there after and meditated on a nearby mountain to seek understanding. He spent three days in meditation before Zed found him. They talked about balance and how the order was wrong to declare one technique as unbalance and he joined Zed’s efforts to grow the Order of Shadows.

Minoryu was with Zed from the beginning and will be there until the end. His greatest show of loyalty to Zed was when Zed went into the Temple of Balance with the Grandmaster and Minoryu tried to convert the Kinkou outside. When his childhood friend came to him and told him that the Shadows had no place within the balance, Minoryu turned away from him.

When Zed ordered the attack, Minoryu found his old friend and they launched into battle. Minoryu killed the man, without a glance backwards Minoryu moved on, slaying or converting.

The Shadows would spread.

“If balance cannot include all, then I will have none of it.”- Minoryu to the Kinkou before the battle.
